I hired this seamstress for alterations to my wedding dress and was extremely disappointed with the…read moreoutcome. Without discussing it with me first, changes were made to the design that altered the entire look of the dress from what I had chosen. The straps were also taken in too much and ended up far too tight, which pulled the dress out of shape and caused noticeable bunching in both the front and on the sides. When I raised these concerns, they weren't taken seriously. Instead of offering to fix the issues, the suggestion was that I hold the fabric in place during photos to hide the bunching -- on my wedding day. Despite the dress not fitting or looking the way it was supposed to, I was still expected to pay the full price for the alterations. When asked why the design was changed, the response was simply - to allow me to from side to side easier, which was never communicated and was not wanted. I understand alterations can be tricky, but changing a bride's dress design without consent and then dismissing valid concerns is not acceptable, especially for something as important as a wedding gown. I would not recommend this business to anyone getting married and looking for alterations they can trust.

She also did the alterations over for my granddaughter's wedding gown. My granddaughter kept losing weight for the wedding so Inessa had to be very conscious of timing of the wedding and what alterations to do as my granddaughter kept losing weight. Inessa also hemmed two other dresses for me, one with a built-in slip, and both were excellent! She is realistic about whether she can meet your timeline and she honors that commitment!
