I was going for pelvic floor therapy and have a new baby at home and they were so compassionate and flexible when creating my care plan AND even let me bring my baby when I didn't have anyone to watch her. Huge shoutout to Jessica, Marlena, and Nicolette (sorry if I misspelled) but they were the loveliest care team I could have asked for. Been coming here every so often over recent years for a variety of issuse from ankle, to lower back…read moreto neck issues and have always experienced great care from their physical therapists and it remains a place I recommend for injury rehab and education regardless if you are a pro athlete, a weekend warrior, or a regular joe injured on the job or doing everyday activities. Not only are they skilled to help, but they asdo do care. But that also means that there aren't sometimes issues that need attention or rectifying. The lost star from this visit is becasue of certain assumptions made during my visit. It is common fore your therapist here, when applying cups or needles as a therapudic tool, will walk away and work on others. Sometimes they dont return and another care professional will finish up. On this case, that was what happened and I was just handed some papers showing after care execises to do at home. The problem was, there was no communication as to the purpose of each or demonstartions. Because they know me, there was an assumption that I know what to do at home. Although a picture and description is helpful, it is very easy to do things wrong making it ineffective to the intent or in such a way to cause undesired pain or fatigue. So always ask, if it is your first time with a new exercise or you are addressing a different issue from the last time, ask for a demonstration before you leave. They have offered an opportunity to come in and go over those exercises as part of my last appointment. Transparency, this is an edited review. Other issues involving a new person at the front desk were resolved after one of the owners called me personally to better understand issues I had. That is being resolve with both Training and any other type of customer support notification. And the fact I was called, vs. a canned written response on yelp, shows that they care and further supports my positive recommendation. I went several times with hardly any gains so a friend referred me to Joe at Ignite. Wow what a difference. I started getting ROM back quicker than expected and began to build strength with manipulation and exercise guided by Joe and his team. His wife Tara scheduled me right away and Danielle has always been such a pleasure working with scheduling. While my Physical Therapist was personally very kind and attentive, I would only work with her for about 10-15 minutes per session and was then passed on to the assistants who were NOT attentive. They would give me my exercises to complete but rather than staying and ensuring I was doing them correctly would run to another patient and work with them, and then I would be sitting there for several minutes inbetween exercises waiting for the assistant to come back. I came three weeks in a row and every week was like this-the facility just seemed like they had too many patients scheduled at once and not enough employees to properly take care of all the patients. As someone who has done physical therapy at several facilities over the years I was disappointed in my care and would not recommend coming here. I gave it a two because I liked my physical therapist but if it wasn't for her I would give this facility a one.

Matt not only teaches others with calmness and complete focus, he treats his patients the same, totally focused on providing the best care for each individual and is extremely calm which radiates confidence to the patient. After getting two treatments from another PT place, I was referred by a friend to Matt at Foothills and I'm extremely grateful Matt squeezed me in to help me with my shoulder injury, doctors wanted to do surgery but Matt suggested PT along with dry needles/deep tissue massage and it's worked out AMAZING. Talk about night and day difference between PT places, I'd definitely return if I had another injury. The care here from Matt and others is top notch. The facility is clean and orderly, up to date machines and every kind of item needed for exercises for any injury. PT spent her time eating granola bars and being on her computer, definitely not supervising the tech. A few times, I purposely did the exercise wrong and nobody corrected me. The tech was always working with multiple patients at a time. Another time, I was doing my exercise and I looked over and the tech was getting work done on herself by another therapist. Do yourself a favor and google search for a therapist who works on one patient at a time. And the front office staff is rude and inefficient.

Carling Physical therapy's treatment process is different from all of our other experiences and is by far the best for us. My husband had a fall a little more than a month ago. He was not able to raise his arms and shoulders to perform the smallest daily task such as picking up his glass to drink water, and he was in pain constantly. Now, he is free to move his arms and shoulders without discomfort. He still has a little way to go but the improvement was stunning. And that is without having to take any medication because Steve, the owner, doesn't encourage his patients to take pain pills. Also, he and his team focus on hands-on therapy. Each patient receives a needed massage in every session. According to my husband, massage works miracles for him. Also, they work very hard to accommodate our insurance program benefits. Which is a great blessing for us. Steve and all the staff members are knowledgeable, encouraging, kind and thoughtful. That's a huge plus.
