They provide you with the required service for probably cheaper than any other location. But more important than money is time. No one wants to suffer through these classes. They are a nightmare. But, i can honestly say i enjoyed taking class. Instructor makes all the difference. A bad one and you want to blow your brains out as you sit through a class as the time drags on. My time flew by relatively quickly. It takes a great instructor to make a court ordered class, that you had to shell out a bunch of money for no less, tolerable. And more then tolerable I can honestly say i came away characterizing this as a positive experience

The principal and assistant principal are out greeting kids every morning and they know everyone's name, it's impressive! My kids have thrived here, with my daughter in the advanced Math and ELA and my son finding a love of reading. I'm a very involved parent and can say every single person who works at the school is amazing, thoughtful, and truly care about the students. We feel very lucky to have found this great community.

My daughter was extremely shy, going into school, so we were nervous about her making friends. She has made so many great friends and her teachers have helped her navigate. A friend's son had gone to Encanto location and she had always raved about it so we checked it out among others when searching for our second choice option. This ended up working out perfectly because with the new location, that actually was right by our house, we were guaranteed to be able to get a spot, unlike the other locations (and most of the top choice preschools) which had wait lists. We are so glad our first choice wasn't available so we were able to find and look into LBM uptown, it has been nothing short of incredible for both our daughter and myself. The teachers and director, Heyli, are truly amazing, as is the owner, Pilar. They really care about the kids and it is very obvious. Even the teachers from the other classrooms know me daughter and are friendly to me as well. You get a true sense of community from them and the other parents, on spring break some of the parents and kids met up twice to get the kids together and hang out, it's already that type of community. Adding to all this the language factor and we just couldn't be happier. Our daughter is thriving and we are definitely going to stay until she ages out. If you are considering LBM, just do it! :)

On April 2nd 2026, and the 9th 2026 my daughter was assaulted by another girl at this school. Each…read moreattack was by a separate individual. The second attack was so severe that my daughter was transported to the hospital via ambulance. She had her head smashed against the concrete that resulted in a concussion by this girl, and multiple bruises to her face and shoulders. The school, after the first attack did nothing to prevent the second attack. When I asked them what precautions will be taken if my daughter returned to their school after this second attack, I was told she could use the nurses bathroom since the first attack took place in the women's bathroom, and that she could eat lunch in the office or somewhere that they designated since the second attack took place while she was at lunch in the courtyard. The girl who more severely assaulted my daughter on the second attack was withdrawn from the school. I found out that apparently this girl had been expelled from another school for fighting and that she'd already been in several fights that year at Moon valley and was on a contract for fighting so they knew she was volatile and dangerous and still did nothing to take any type of precautions with other people's students. They just allowed her to roam free..... The hospital visit alone cost me $1,400, I haven't seen the bill yet for the ambulance ride, nor have I seen the bill yet for the specialist who is supposed to be her follow-up for the concussion. Drugs and alcohol are also rampant in this school, they are bought and sold by students. When I had photo evidence of these individuals selling and buying drugs, and using alcohol on campus I brought it to the attention of the assistant principal and the campus officer and they did nothing with that. Also told the campus officer when my daughter was assaulted the second time that I wanted to file charges and I'm pretty sure I was given a bogus report number because when I went back to look up the status of my daughter's case the report number he gave me kept coming back could not be found. There's going to be a lawsuit on their hands if this isn't taken seriously and handled it a befitting manager and taken seriously with implementating some sort of safeguard so my daughter can finish out the rest of her year and then transfer her out..... Worst school any of my four children have attended and I would not recommend it to anybody if they value their children's safety. And when I tell you it's worse than Glendale School District I mean it. I regret moving so that she had to attend this district/school.
