Leftover holiday décor (maybe from multiple holidays?) and a setup full of TVs, a pool table, and darts gave it more of a sports bar feel. To their credit, the bar itself is impressive, and the cocktail menu is clearly curated with intention. But overall, it feels more like a dressed-up dive bar than a polished spot. We played pool and had a good time, but honestly, it might serve them better to embrace the casual scene and rebrand--maybe just "The Lion"--to better fit the crowd and vibe. There's potential here, just needs clearer direction.

They were amazing. I wish they still had them! The bar has not changed! I like the comfortable chairs and the divey yet cozy overall feeling. The service was good and the bartenders are super nice. We ordered the Smashburger and the Philly. Both were very good. I like that you can get a single Smashburger patty as most places only make doubles. The drinks were good and strong and reasonably priced. I will definitely be back!

Deanna made the hands down best Old Fashioned i've had in years. She suggested the pretzel bites... so. good. Deanna also kindly made cocktails all evening and there wasn't one that wasn't perfect & so tasty. Cindy was my bartender before Deanna got there and she didn't greet me or offer me anything to drink for roughly 45 min... i didn't get too offended because she did have a party but then i noticed she had other help behind the bar and even they didn't serve/greet me. I've also been to Pipeline where i've seen Cindy behind the bar, and it was the same treatment. Seems she might just get a lil too tipsy on shifts? I have been back on most Sundays because I know Deanna will be my girl behind the bar. Deanna is a dime & 10/10 service. Cindy... not so much. Thank you, Deanna for easing my anxiety, great cocktails & your kind heart.

The Old Fashioneds are some of the best I've had anywhere, and Aaron is one of the most talented mixologists in the city. In fact, Aaron is a big reason many people keep coming back. He's exceptional at what he does, and every drink reflects that level of skill. The espresso martinis are fantastic, but the "Not Espresso Martini" was an unexpected favorite that kept us coming back. One of the things I love most is that the menu changes seasonally, giving us a reason to come back and work our way through the new cocktails to find our latest favorite. The bartenders are knowledgeable, welcoming, and clearly passionate about their craft. The atmosphere is cozy, intimate, and full of character. There are actual typewriters throughout the space, which perfectly fits the literary theme and adds to the experience. As a fun touch, my friend always receives a book with her receipt and reads a random paragraph before we leave. It's those little details that make Inkwell feel like a hidden gem rather than just another bar. If you're looking for creative cocktails, talented bartenders, and a unique atmosphere, Inkwell is absolutely worth a visit. Such a vibe.

The ambiance is fair but comfortable, and the size makes it ideal if you're looking to have a real conversation with someone without yelling over music or crowds. Location is another plus. It's very convenient if you want a drink before or after a Westside game, or just need a low-key stop nearby. If you're after a cozy, intimate spot with good drinks and a relaxed vibe, Inkwell Bar delivers.
