BEWARE! This office is not upfront with insurance information whatsoever. When I called to make my…read morefirst appointment, I specifically asked if they were in-network with my dental insurance. They gave me a general answer like "we work with all insurance plans." At my appointment, they gave me an estimate of what my out of pocket charges would look like, and I agreed as I was getting a panoramic x-ray and a deep cleaning, realizing these extras may not be fully covered. I paid $202 out of pocket at the end of my visit, only to receive a bill for another $158.80 over one month later. Upon calling my insurance company to find out why it was so expensive, it turns out MoreSmiles was an out-of-network provider. They NEVER told me this and acted like they were in-network the entire time. Shame on them!!

Sadly I have been to a lot of dentist…read more... I have been very impressed with moresmiles dental spa. The staff is friendly and polite. They want to make sure your visit is anxiety and worry free. That is nice but, even better, Dr moreau is very very skilled and knowledgeable. For instance: at my previous dentist, it took a minimum of three weeks to get a crown back from the lab, sometimes three and a half. Well, when you have a temporary crown, it often doesnt fit or look very good and that three or three and a half week wait is a loooong time. Sometimes while waiting I would even call my dentist and ask "Did the new crowns arrive yet?" In the hopes they would come in the mail and I could move my appointment up by a day or three. I always thought three and a half weeks was just industry standard of how long it took for crowns to get done at the dental lab everywhere. Anyway, when I went to moresmiles, I had to get an inlay. I was expecting them to schedule the appointment for delivery three and a half weeks out. I was blown away when they scheduled my follow up appointment to get the inlay delivered in exactly two weeks. I'm not sure if they use different technology or just have a better dental lab (maybe both). But the difference between two weeks and three and a half weeks with an uncomfortable temporary crown is huge. Since I'm talking about temporary crowns: the dental hygienist did the temporary crowns at my old dentist and they didn't fit well or look good. I thought that was also "normal". However, at moresmiles, Dr. Moreau did the temporary crown himself and it fit perfectly. Another example: they did an MRI on my skull using advanced medical imaging technology (pic). Overall, I would highly recommend moresmiles dental spa.

Unfortunately, it was the complete opposite. From the start, something felt off. I met with Michael, explained my dental history, my goals, and my budget. He assured me everything was doable and that my budget was reasonable. After my so-called "free consultation," I was sent away with a bill and told I couldn't even get a quote until I paid $430 for a cleaning. I live an hour away in Baton Rouge, so before booking, I called again to make sure I wasn't wasting my time or money. Michael reassured me multiple times that it would be worth it -- so I trusted him. That was a mistake. At my second visit, Michelle did my cleaning and x-rays, and she was actually amazing -- gentle, kind, and professional. She's the only positive thing I can say about this entire experience. When the doctor came in, I felt completely dismissed. She didn't seem to listen to my goals or understand why I was there for cosmetic dentistry. The plan she presented had nothing to do with what I asked for -- orthodontics, crowns, fillings -- everything but what I needed. Then Michael called to tell me the doctor didn't want to proceed with extractions. I was shocked -- isn't this supposed to be a cosmetic dentist? He said he'd follow up after talking to her again, but I never heard back. Not a single call. So now I'm out $430 for a cleaning I could have done locally for half the price, I have a worsening infection, swelling, and a black eye because the problem teeth still need to be pulled -- and I'm no closer to a solution. If you're looking for a true cosmetic dentist, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This office took my money, wasted my time, and left me in worse shape than when I started.

They tried to talk me into another root canal not only on that tooth but the adjacent one. I explained that I did not want one, nor could I afford to spend another 2k+ on the teeth. Finally after being given a bill for almost $1400 to remove the tooth and cap the adjacent tooth done at once I relented. I figured even though it was a lot of money that they have a lovely office and "cutting technology" that I was in good hands. The younger dentist who's name I can't recall was nice enough but seemed to be a bit hurried. The tooth wasn't coming easy but finally he pulled it. I asked about the tip and was assured everything was fine. It wasn't. Four days later with massive pain and a fever I returned. The main dentist looked and said I still had the roots in my gums as he could see from the X-ray. He also said much of the pain was from a perforated sinus. They booked me for the next day. The surgery was performed and the young doctor now seemed flippant and unapologetic about the situation. When I was released and talked to the office manager about the week I was out of work and issues she said "this is a common issue. What is your point?" When I asked if they could refund any of the 1400 she said "you paid us for a service and we gave it to you." I just want people to know what kind of people you will be dealing with. The prices are a lot more than other dentists in the area but they won't stand behind their work and have no concern for their patients after they leave. It's a sad world we live in and as far as I'm concerned this place is part of the problem.

She hands me a tablet and pronounces these are the dentures the dentist feels is best suited to me. The price, well OVER $5000.00! No option, other than work with 3rd party financiers. I said when I called it would be $1000, and her response was no one should have told you that. Not until she saw her sucker slipping away did she UNCOVER the poster board with other options on it. This place lacks integrity and Kiran absolutely lacks character and customer skills. She is horrendous! Her attitude is like this is your choice at 5K. Take it or leave it. We left it. I will take my $1000+. elsewhere. I hate dishonest people!
