The office is very well maintained, with the reception desk being just through the door. There's plenty of seating. My hygienist, Marissa, was very patient, professional, and gentle. If you are a new patient, it is their standard of care to take a comprehensive, full mouth set of Xrays to see your mouth as clearly as possible. I balked, having had these by my former dentist in another city. I was a little nervous, but Marissa reassured me it was their policy. We got through that, and my cleaning went well. This was the only time in my adult life I'd gone over six months without a cleaning, but good hygiene and regular checkups kept my gums and teeth in good shape. Dr. Thiabille came in and performed a complete exam, checking also for and mouth or throat cancers, and found none. Having had quite a few birthdays, I would like to stay healthy from head to toe. All of the staff were friendly. My dental insurance covered all but the fluoride treatment ($36). BUT...can I tell you this: throughout the entire procedure, I had NO PAIN WHATSOEVER! In fact, I was so relaxed that, at one point, I fell asleep in the chair. Catherine was great. She is an amazing woman, an amazing endodontist. After my so-called "free consultation," I was sent away with a bill and told I couldn't even get a quote until I paid $430 for a cleaning. I live an hour away in Baton Rouge, so before booking, I called again to make sure I wasn't wasting my time or money. Michael reassured me multiple times that it would be worth it -- so I trusted him. That was a mistake. At my second visit, Michelle did my cleaning and x-rays, and she was actually amazing -- gentle, kind, and professional. She's the only positive thing I can say about this entire experience. When the doctor came in, I felt completely dismissed. She didn't seem to listen to my goals or understand why I was there for cosmetic dentistry. The plan she presented had nothing to do with what I asked for -- orthodontics, crowns, fillings -- everything but what I needed. I live in New Orleans but will drive the 40 minutes to this office in order to receive the best, most effective / long-lasting treatment possible. The Waterlase MD high powered laser is used to remove infection-harboring smear from inside of the microscopic pores in the wall of the root canal. (One of the biggest problems with root canals is the possibility of infection lingering and recurring issues.) She and her staff go above and beyond to make sure your treatments are done perfectly and accurately. In addition, the office space is cozy and makes you feel comfortable in an otherwise uncomfortable situation. In the treatment room, there is extra padding/memory foam on the treatment chair and blankets are provided if needed. You leave the the office with a soup or protein shake, anti-inflammatories, and a recipe for later. The office provides bottled waters, hot drinks, and snacks to make sure you and your family have what you need. While these amenities are not necessary, any doctor going above and beyond what is required has my and my family's business.
