Saying she got what she deserved. My understanding is the girl got in trouble with the boss and as a Punishment he made her unload watermelons basically humiliated her in front of her coworkers. One girl was heard saying let's see what her blood pressure is now started laughing. I guess people never leave high school!! When I was leaving the poor girl looked like she was about to pass out her face was beet red. So my takeaway is if someone has medical problems (just going by what I heard them girls say) we punish them?! Make that make sense plz. I also don't know how the coworkers can work in a place that feels like an oven. I won't be back and I will be letting people know what I saw. I will not eat somewhere where the employees get treated bad. DO BETTER!!!!

They have many other items, some of them local, from the pumpkins (can't carry those in a suitcase alas) to sweet pepers and a lot of other tasty delights which are NOT made locally. they are only open until Oct 31, so plan on getting there before Halloween. When I arrived to the farm the first thing that I did was cover myself in bug spray and I didn't have any issues the entire hour and a half. Laura the owner greeted me instantly and introduced herself and how she got started with her business while we waited for everyone to arrive. We begun the class at a picnic table setup with a beautiful floral arrangement, sheers for cutting flowers, water because it was hot, 1 large, and 1 small mason jar. We were told the large jar was for ourselves and the small jar was for a friend:) Laura guided us through the rows of flowers telling us how much to pick and how to determine what was ready to pick. We picked the flowers in groups of three or five and all of the arrangements looked beautiful. I would definitely recommend checking out the farm any morning or evening to pick some fresh cut flowers when available, joining a class, or booking flower arrangements for your next event.

We visited The Seedlings farm on a Sunday evening that we used to stretch out summer a little…read morelonger and it was MAGICAL. After a drive outside of town, we found the farm easily with Google maps, but overshot the drive. As we turned around we could see some of the flower fields and we're so excited... Walking up to the main building, where the sweet owner, Laura, and her family live, she mentioned the sunflowers were over the hill. As we walked the short distance we couldn't believe our eyes when we saw the sea of sunnies! They were gorgeous and so tall. At least five different types that we counted while wandering through the forest and cutting blooms to take home. We also enjoyed the zinnias and other blooms to walk through and pick. The flowers are beautiful, but so is the story and spirit of the owner. Take some time to chat with her and you will be uplifted! Our blooms lasted well over a week and we will be back. The five year old with us loved every minute of it, but I think the adults enjoyed it more. Oh, we also got to walk by the cows, goats, and sheep for some extra entertainment. If you can't make it out to the farm for an event, she makes appearances in her Seedlings truck around town at markets and special events. We even saw her in front of Switchyard brewery recently!

Everyone we encountered was polite and kind. It's worth mentioning the way the climate of the world is today. Our primary reason for visiting was to go up the sunflower field. Absolutely gorgeous!!! Sunflowers are my favorite and the view was amazing! I'm not an outdoorsy person at all, but this didn't seem to bother me. This alone is worth the trip!! We were going to go to the pumpkin patch but ended up shooting some corn (corn cannon ball). There are lots of activities and a great place for kids!!! We also ate lunch and had apple cider slushies!!! I highly recommend this spot!

Visited here for a spectacular tour prior to a dinner reservation at the nearby Barn8 restaurant in…read morelate spring 2024 a few weeks prior to Derby 150. Timing was excellent leading up to the race. We arrived for the last tour of the day at 3 PM on a Sunday and were directed to a covered wagon being pulled by a tractor. We used a small set of steps to access the wagon and then took our spot on one of the long bench seats on either side. Bales of hay lined the center of the wagon and were covered with soft horse blankets. Our tour guide was fantastic and entertaining with his presentation. He welcomed our questions and was very approachable during the entire tour, which was approximately an hour, and we did not feel rushed. We toured one of the horse barns where we were able to meet and greet at least 4 horses, including thoroughbred and Lippizaner breeds. We also were able to view a video presentation, trophy room, and memorabilia, which were all very informative and interesting. We resumed the wagon tour and accessed various fields along the route out and back, which contained foals, colts, and adult horses. Gorgeous picturesque property with rolling green fields surrounded by neat black board fences and very well maintained. This was an amazing experience for me even though I have lived in this area for many decades and I learned quite a bit of history while on the tour. I look forward to returning to share the experience with family and friends and knowing the tour will continue to evolve as the seasons change and the life cycle of the horses continues. I would also rate this as one of the top 5 things someone should see if they are visiting the area for the first time and want to better understand the importance of the horse in this region.

The property is peaceful and beautiful. The nature trail is wonderful to connect with nature, with gentle ups and downs, trees, and a lake. The farm house has great energy, with comfortable sitting areas and a big deck. I've enjoyed several events here, including their concerts, fall festival, and meditations. I haven't found the staff to be friendly, and I didn't get a response to my email about whether the farm house and its beautiful patio are open any time or just for events. The nature trail closes at 4:00 each day which means no after-work walks, and the farm store is quite small. But it's still a special place and definitely deserves 5 stars.
