He told me it was too late, but if they hadn't finished the last load, they may be able to help me. He told me to ask for Joey, the store manager. I did that, and Joey told me to be there before 5:00 to pick it up. I have used D.O. Summers for many years, sometimes using their free pick-up and delivery service, and sometimes using same day. Instead of same day being an extra charge add-on, like some cleaners, that is their standard service. It's a great help...but be sure to go to their website and get their coupons! :)

The facility was clean, had a helpful attendant, and almost all of the equipment was in working order, with the couple of machines that were not being clearly marked as out of service. There were a variety of sizes of commercial washers that were front loading and this is where you needed to pay. The dryers were then free to use. These washers worked on an app, or one could pay a machine at the front and enter the washer number to activate it. The washers at first seemed a little pricey, but considering the dryers were included in the pricing it wasn't bad at all. There were seating area near the washers, or a larger seating area at the front where one could buy a cup of fresh Keurig coffee. For a more complete coffee experience one can walk to the coffee shop next door. I think the one thing that made this place really memorable for me was that it actually had a wall of homey laundry-themed decorations. This included a wallpaper strip and a number of antique wash-boards. Now that is something you don't see in most laundromats!

I told the young man behind the counter that I wanted the zipper replaced, showed him where that damage was done, and told him that I'd like it back by the end of the week. He then asked me if I wanted it cleaned as well, and I said that I would. He asked for my last name, and the name of my street, but not my phone number. The coat was promised for today by 5PM. So, I arrived today exactly at 5, gave my ticket to the lady who was there, and she came back out with the coat, which had a note on it, saying that the coat needed the zipper replaced, and to get an OK from the customer to have it repaired and a phone number! I told the lady that this was exactly the reason I had brought it in in the first place, and that there was no way I could leave it there to have the repair done on it that I had asked for in the first place, as it was going to be extremely cold this week and that my husband couldn't be without his heavy coat for another week. They did clean it, however. The lady did apologize, but blamed the teenager who took my order. Yes, he screwed up, but he shouldn't be working the front counter if he doesn't know how to process orders. I hate leaving bad reviews, and I have used this company for cleaning in the past and have been satisfied, but considering the circumstances, I will not be bring the coat back to them to be repaired. I will still use the company for ordinary clothes cleaning, but I don't think they can be trusted to handle anything beyond that.
