Had an amazing tour of the factory, got to check out the museum and had a nice time shopping in the store. Kids got to see first hand the power of American manufacturing and what is possible! I was blown away with just how much hands on and hand crafted these snowboards are! The 3-d printing area was equally cool and getting to speak with one of the engineers working on prototypes was equally amazing. My daughters are fully inspired by her now! I was blown away by the level of service and how quickly they were able to repair my broken binding! I was in Stowe Vt when I went to step into my step on bindings and my front toe hook broke. I called a Burton location in my hometown and once they learned I was so close to the Flagship location, recommended I go in and drop off my binding there for repair. I was greeted by Maddie who was so nice, friendly and knowledgable. She took the time to show me how to assemble my board, check my settings and assured that it would be under warranty and they could likely return it back to me this week. Sure enough, not even 24 hours later I got an email that my binding would be back the next day and it was! Just walked in there after an avid search for Step-on boots. There was only one employee at the counter (and seemingly the entire store) who was too engrossed in his telephone conversation to acknowledge patrons. As I stood in front of the check-out counter, vying for this employee's attention, I must have been graced with an invisibility cloak as he neither looked up or acknowledged my existence. Not exactly the customer service you would expect (especially after traveling hours). Quite disappointing. So the search continues, because I surely won't be giving this store my business (assuming they even had them in stock, all questions that could not be posed because of poor customer service). read more

Stay with me on this one, because even if you don't ride, you'll certainly find something here. Jake Burton started out by making snowboards in his garage in 1977. He was inspired by the snurfer and built boards that glided smoothly across the snow with flexible straps to keep riders buckled in. He worked with the local resorts to help snowboarding gain acceptance at the mountains. These days it's pretty common to see half the people on the slopes riding snowboards. Burton has grown to be the largest snowboard brand in the world and they have many different snowboard related brands under their umbrella. They sponsor many of the top riders and offer Learn To Ride programs at many resorts to get newbies up and riding with beginner instruction and equipment. That's important, because you are going to take your lumps the first few times out. Like the heelside head snap and the toeside faceplant. Don't worry, you'll be carving huge powder turns and getting big air in no time. What sets Burton apart for me is their innovation. This flagship store at the site of their factory has it all. Take a look around and you'll see what I'm talking about. They listen to their riders and make improvements to the gear. Anything you could need, they've already thought of and included. An outer zip pocket for goggles, check. Attachments so there is a gator between your pants and coat, check. A helmet with built in speakers, check. Pit and leg zips so you can air out on the lift, check. See what I mean? Don't ride? I feel for you, but they've got you covered too. Literally. When the weather turns cold, I'm always sporting some kind of their street gear. Sweaters, bags, beanies, hoodies...the best Jerry, the best. Trust. They even pack innovations into these things. Like the travel hoodie complete with an inflatable neck pillow and an eye mask that pulls down from the hood. You're getting sleepy.... Traveling all the way from Utah to visit the Burton factory & flagship store was an amazing experience. 1st the Burton store has everything you can imagine if your a snowboarder & a fan of Burton. They had some great deals on the winter gear since it was June. The entire facility is so chill, & everyone was so happy, helpful & genuinely stoked to work for Burton. Phil & Drew are super cool & know their stuff, they'll make sure you get what your looking for! These guys working the store are extremely knowledgable & more than happy to swap pics, & stories. The hour long factory tour is hosted by a guy named "TK", he's one of the coolest most down to earth guys I've ever met. So happy to answer any & all questions from the group. You get to see first hand pretty much everything from how the boards are built, to the clothing, goggle, helmet & binding design. Awesome to see why Burton continues to be the leader in the industry world wide. Even if you don't ride the Burton store offers everything for the active outdoor type man, woman or child. I've ridden a number of Burton Boards, had a few of their clothing items, and some of their equipment over the years. My first board was a Craig Kelly Supermodel and it was my entry to the addiction of the sport. Burton has grown steadily over the years, buying companies like Forum (which was another company I really like) and Channel Island Surfboards. They're almost like the Microsoft of boardsports, but in a good way. Jake Burton Carpenter has continually pushed the sport forward through the growth of his company. I'm thinking that some of the goods are starting to get really pricey (especially on the high end) and some of the clothing is no longer worth the price, but they do make a damn solid line of boards. So if you're getting into the sport or just looking to go to the next level they've definitely got the spread to keep you covered. read more

Atrocious customer service. Website sent out the wrong bindings for the boot and binding combo I ordered. Asked customer support for an exchange on the bindings. Told nope, send it all, back, at my cost, then we'll issue a refund in 7-14 days, then in 30 it'll appear back on your card. Then order a new set. My season here in SoCal ends in 30 days. A simple, "Sure, we'll get those out to you, send us the wrong bindings back" or hell, even a "send the bindings back and we'll ship the right ones out when the small ones get in" would work too. Instead they told me to kick rocks, so sorry. It's clear the Burton image is entirely $$ on PR because when you actually deal with them, as a paying customer, you realize the company has a cancerous support system. Unfortunately, I'm here for the summer months for work but I currently live in Louisiana. So, no need for a snowboard right now. Having said that, I grew up in the Chicago area skiing and snowboarding in Wisconsin and Michigan often and anyone who snowboards knows that Burton makes the best boards in the business, period. Going here was a cool experience and the employees are awesome. What a fun place to have a job!! I have been here a few times to pickup gifts for friends and just reminisce of my snowboarding days. They had a huge selection of gear and accessories to choose from. The staff was so friendly, and the vibe in the store was sooo laid back. I love it. Great store. Helpful staff. Every single product line is there, but no bargains to be had. I expect that they have all been moved down to the outlet store in Mass. The history of snowboarding exhibit is great! Going to this store is a religious experience, but be prepared to come back empty handed and its more of a museum of current product than bargain central. $600 jackets were outside my price range. Snowboarding culture has been about doing-it-on-the-cheap - this store is about high end only - 3 layer Goretex is great, but I cant afford that. read more

I was thoroughly impressed with the high level of professionalism and quality of customer service at this Burton flagship store. I searched high and low for a particular size/colorway combination Burton item and this store was the only flagship store in the country that still had what I needed. I gave them a call and although they were incredibly busy at the time, the associate named Ian handed my inquiry in a smooth and efficient manner. As he was gathering my information for the order he asked me questions about where I ride and how the snow has been this season. It was little touches like these that made me feel 1) they actually cared, and 2) I wasn't being rushed. Before the transaction was over, Ian made sure to inform me of the Burton lifetime warranty - - something somehow I was not aware of before. All of these things made this one of the best phone order transactions I have ever had. This is in tune of the Entire Burton Company. I have been a long time Burton customer, purchasing many snowboards, including the Custom X, 2010 Vapor, and most recently Antler with Burton Top of the Line EST Bindings. I have purchased Burton boards for my daughter as well. Up until now I have been a loyal dedicated Burton Snowboard customer. But recently when my Burton C60 bindings failed on my Burton 2010 Vapor I looked for another set of bindings that would compliment the C60 bindings. I was directed by Burton to purchase the Diode 2016 EST Bindings as they would compliment the Vapor. Well here comes this snow season, and after discussing with Burton again by calling the Rider Support Line I was reassured I purchased the right binding for my Vapor. Now fast forward multiple weeks, multiple calls to Burton and I wonder how much they really know about the products the sell. It seems like they are just keeping up with current and don't really care about those past purchases. When I was reassured by the Burton Rider Support line I attempted to install the 2016 Diode EST bindings on my 2010 Vapor, which I must say is the best board I have ever invested in and have carved up many of slopes with, I just love the board. After finding out the 2016 Diode didn't fit into the M5 Burton Rail I was told by many Burton Flag Ship Stores I needed a conversion kit. So I called multiple locations and eventually contact the largest Flag Ship Store in Burlington VT and spoke to multiple individuals at the shop. After explaining my situations I was told they had the conversion kit to match the 2016 Diode EST with my 2010 Vapor. I was also told they would ship out the kit overnight on December 26,2016 as it was too late to get it shipped on December 24, 2016. When I called on December 26, 2016 I was then informed that they couldn't ship it out, but the representative said he would ship it out on his lunch hour, I thought this was truly going above and beyond. Then I got a call from the store Manager Mike, stating that they couldn't ship it at all on December 26 because non of the shipping companies were operating, UPS, FEDEX and USPS were all closed in shipping. I did pay for overnight shipping. He then stated send me the location where you will be and we will ship it out on December 27 overnight for 10:30AM deliver for December 28, 2016. I called Mike and had to track him down to another store where he did confirm he would be shipping the conversion kit. I asked for a tracking number, he said when he got back to the Burlington VT store he would send it over. Well today is December 28, 2016 still no email, no conversion kit and I really wonder if Burton even shipped it out. I followed up with an email again asking for the tracking number, still no response. So at this point, I am no longer a Burton customer and will be returning the Burton Diode EST bindings. I will state I bought my daughter some Union Bindings which were a great deal the the extent Union went to ensure I was taken care of even doing a Skype Call to see the bindings. TERRIBLE experience at this store. Went in to buy new board, boots, and bindings and at least 6 staff on the floor all standing around shooting the shit with each other. Ask one girl for help she shrugs her shoulders and walks over to guy at the register who is on the phone, and tells him what I want. He rolls his eyes and tells her to go find this other guy... and then she disappears for almost 10 minutes. I just left... hopefully I will find better service at a local ski store. I must say it was worth the long 8 hour drive from Canada to the Burton Flagship Store in Burlington, VT. Of course, I didn't just drive up there solely to shop at Burton (went shredding up at Smuggies too), but if I did, it would still be worth it. For anyone who rides, this is a must place to visit - you're stepping into snowboarding history when you walk in here. As many before me have mentioned, the staff here is so laid back and knowledgeable about the products. Everyone is so amazingly friendly here that it must be that VT hospitality that you will not find anywhere else. I have been to the Burton stores in Chicago, NYC, and Vail - you just won't get the same service at those locations. Obviously, this would be where you'd find the largest selection of Burton gear around. I recommend going around Presidents Day for their sales. Some of their clothing was 30% off, select boards 20% off, and select bindings 20%. I only came out with a t-shirt and Cartel bindings. Could have bought a lot more, but had to exercise some fiscal restraint! Even if you don't buy anything here, one visit to the Burton Flagship Store will make you have a better appreciation for snowboarding. read more

I was looking through different stores ALL DAY to find the right jacket and because of my height and body shape it's very difficult for me. The salesperson Ian helped me intensively find the jacket to fit my needs... price point... etc. He seriously went above and beyond and I'm super grateful because now I have the perfect jacket that I will use for years. I have always been a big fan of Burton and it's clothing lines. So when In Burlington for work I made it a top priority to stop into the Flagship store and see the Burton culture. Just like Tricia mentioned you would never think that the store was anything more than just a factory or office building. Out front the entrance is marked only with a small metal crafted road sign and a large Burton sign over the door. Oh and way off in the back behind the employee parking lot is a skate park. Nice! This store rocks for anyone looking to grab a new snowboard gear. It basically has everything you would see in the Burton catalog and more since some items may be left over from the previous season. Staff was uber friendly and knowledgeable about every product. If I was not on a time table and needed to catch a plane I could have spent way too much money in here. I did escape with only minor damage to the bank account since there was a 40% off sale on a couple of my purchases. 5 stars to the Ryan at the Burlington store and Nyiah at the Chicago store who hooked me up with the pants that were out of stock. As a snowboarder this store is kind of like a little slice of heaven. I love taking trips to the Burton Factory store, actually they are more like expeditions considering the amount of merchandise I generally walk out with. I always manage to find something I need and usually leave with less than what I want because I am short on funds. In my experience the store is always neat and organized. They consistently have adequate stock (what you see on-line or find in the catalog is always available and in multiple sizes). The best part is that the entire staff is always super friendly and quick to help. I often leave the store wishing that I worked for Burton. read more

This store makes me really happy. However, I'm pretty sure it's because I'm an unabashed Burton slut. Plus, its out of the way (I'm from Boston) so it feels like an accomplishment when you get there. Have to come in with the item -- only during working hours M-F when that department is open -- and wait 48 hours. Then asked to speak to manager, who re-explained the ins and outs of Burton's inventory policies, cut me off, and put me on hold with customer service. A bizarre lack of responsibility for defective product. Also such a great opportunity to please a customer -- so sorry, please come in and we'll replace it, no problem. I'd love to support a VT company, but they make it too hard. If you forget to be reasonable and friendly with your customers, they won't be very loyal. read more

Burton flagship store is a MUST visit for any boarder. Chill music, super friendly staff, dogs, great products (obviously), and free stickers, huge store! If you have the time to go on a tour of Craig's prototype facility, DO IT! You'll learn a ton about Burton and snowboarding history and current day innovations. Great insight and knowledge on the industry and the products you use by visiting. HQ is cool to see the culture of Burton as well from a customer standpoint. 10/10 would visit if you board, worth the trip! read more

I had a great experience here at the "flagship" store. You wouldn't be able to tell from driving up to the building, but it's an ok sized store, with a lot of selection. I spent a few hours in the store with a lot of help from Phil. Hats off to that guy! He was very knowledgeable (which he should be working there, lol), but schooled me on the board, bindings, and boots. I'm sure that I got his undivided attention since it was over a rainy weekend, and it wasn't that busy. Plus the 40% off for everything that I bought, BONUS! Never order onkline from Burton!!!!! Go to a retail outlet or Altrec online. I ordered a snowboard jacket which was supposed to ship in 3 -5 business days and they took 2 days to process the order and then 3-5 business days. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Although the store didn't have bargains, it was fun to see all Burton all together. The staff was all knowledgable and so happy to help. The tour. Wow. Meeting Todd K. Was a highlight of our entire New England trip. It's really fun to spend time with someone who loves what they do. His knowledge of the history of snowboarding and Burton is astounding. He was so nice to answer simple (mom) questions, and then so down to earth to talk real snowboarding with our 16 year old. He was so encouraging and friendly, even telling him to look him up if he ever comes back up this way and he will ride with him! Wow! Buyer beware, my husband has been buying Burton Snowboards for years. This recent one he has is on the second season and the entire bottom is falling off. Burton requested that he send pictures & his purchase receipt and he did. Burton said "sorry it is out of the one year warranty, we cannot help you". I am sorry Burton, but you need to learn something about Customer service, and because of your response you have lost an avid follower of Burton Boards. There are some shops in our area in Lake Tahoe that won't carry Burton, now I know why. read more
