I used to order from this place regularly but I will not be ordering ever again. I. This restaurant managed to get my order wrong four times consecutively. I order the same thing every time. The first time the woman behind the counter overcharged me. The second time there was no chipotle mayo. The third time no mayo and the wrong chicken. This last time no mayo and the wrong beans. Haverhill Location! - This place is a disaster. I've never experienced anything like what went down trying to order some basic food. I ordered 4 tacos and wanted to order two more, but was told very sharply I could not order any more tacos. No more tacos...! Not because they were out, he just didn't want to make them. I attempted to order food advertised on a poster. "No." I attempted to order nachos... "No." He agreed to a quesadilla and my burrito. Now, in passing my server mumbled something about being alone. But, there was only one more customer during the majority of my ordering attempts. I want to sympathize, but this is your business! This guy is always there when I go. I don't know if he owns it, but he's clearly in charge. So... I've got to say goodbye. At least communicate with me as a customer. Explain what's going on. Apologize for the trouble... Nothing... There's a location in Haverhill, but non listing. So, this is for that location. The most annoying thing about ordering takeout is when you get home and discover the order is wrong. The food is good, not spectacular but good. I was supposed to get a salad but it looks like a bowl. It's not really worth the almost $15 it cost. Sounding entitled for a moment (I really don't care), I should not have to drive back to an establishment that messed up my order. The rice and beans are always cooked tender and they offer a variety of meats all with unique flavors. This is my go-to burrito place and much better than the rice-stuffed pillows served at Chipotle. This was the perfect lunch destination on the way to a beach afternoon at Crane Beach in Ipswich! The vibe in this place was very laid back, and there was plenty of seating for lunch. I got the carnitas tacos, and my husband got a build-your-own bowl (cajun chicken topped with plantains and queso). Everything was absolutely delicious! You could really tell how fresh all the ingredients were, and I loved that they had more variety than most burrito / taco places (for instance - you can get either regular grilled chicken, spicy chicken, or cajun chicken!). My only regret (and this is fully my own fault) is that I wish I had gotten the spicy pork instead of just the regular carnitas. While the carnitas was juicy and flavorful, I found myself craving a bit more spice / flavoring on my taco - so next time, I will for sure be trying one of their spicier offerings. Their cooler is full of lots of flavors of Jarritos, which was the perfect compliment to the meal. We saw this place on Merrimack Valley Eats and just had to try it!. And it's safe to say it lived up to the expectations. The chicken bowl had awesome chicken and just fresh ingredients. The service was good and quick and very nice people behind the counter. The ambiance was small but nice. My girlfriend got the Barbacoa bowl (pictured) with the cilantro sauce on top and said it was amazing! I'm sure we will be back. read more

I feel bad leaving a bad review. But everything - I mean - everything went wrong with my order. It took forever, they were understaffed , tables were dirty , she overcharged me (I wanted to get out so I didn't make a fuss ), I got nachos and the woman added little cheese and even less protein. She even managed to screw up the drink (no ice). Nothing went right. I could also tell the guy running the orders was annoyed bc the line was so long. Some white guy made him add rice to tacos saying it's "standard" which is complete crap. If I go back and it's better - I would let ya know. But I am never going back. read more

At the Haverhill location, the food is good. Two items I like is the chicken tacos dorados, and the quesabirria tacos. Everytime I call an order in, it always takes more than 5 rings, when someone does answer, they tell me soft tacos only. I think they need to hire more people, or fire them all. It's on the menu. That's what I want. They have had 5 times in the last 2 months. I'm pretty angry at this point, and don't need the aggravation, of being their customer. I can't believe It took me this long for me to find this gem. The freshness of the ingredients used at Burrito Spice are excellent and make the flavors burst in your mouth as you enjoy some good eats! I ordered a spicy chicken burrito and loaded on all my favorites (Spanish rice, black beans, cheese, salsa roja (spicy), corn salsa, guacamole, sour cream and pickled onions). So fresh, so good! Next time I'll remember to take a picture before devouring my lunch lol. read more

Had to try this place twice before reviewing. The place just opened. All the food looks fresh and what I had tasted great. The first night I had a carnitas burrito and it didn't disappoint! I just left satiated after eating three barbacoa tacos. Also delicious. They do it the more 'authentic' way (so I hear) of using sliced cheese and steaming it with the tortillas. Tacos Lupita does the same thing. This place is akin to Chipotle or Qdoba where they build the food in front of you with your selections.
