Oh, you just must go here. Don't just drive by, stop in get some delicious guacamole or opt for one of their mini burritos. Or the full size burrito. They're even nice enough to put the beans on the side if you don't want them in the burrito. Specifically to this location, you just have to ask nicely. I like that this place has consistency no matter where you go. When you see one you know you're getting quality food. Then get an Horchata mixed with hibiscus. Yum. Someday I'm gonna come and get the nachos. I'd eat them there inside this cute store that's super clean and nicely decorated. read more

Giving this spot a try since we were in the vicinity. Tried the beef nachos and a couple of tacos. For the tacos I didn't specify cilantro and onions as the toppings as I thought that would be the default...that is not the case. In hind sight also think I should've ordered chicken or steak nachos not beef. It was ok but nothing to get too excited about. read more

I was out late Saturday night and didn't have dinner yet, so checked on Yelp! to find a new restaurant that was open late and that I haven't tried before. I found the Burrito House in Niles. The hours are not accurate on Yelp! (Already suggested the edit) - they are open until 2 AM on Saturdays not 5 AM, so I wasn't able to dine in as I arrived at 1:40 AM. Cashier appeared to be bothered I came in to order food anyways, I wouldn't have came in if I knew this beforehand, but I ordered for take out regardless. I tried the 3 taco dinner (steak, onion, cilantro and cheese). The portion is pretty big - the tacos are a big size and the plate will fill you up. However, the steak lacked flavor and there were a lot of charred pieces - not really that good overall. The hot sauces weren't really hot as well, more bland - the food definitely needs more flavor, more spice/marination/seasoning. For almost $20, I expected much better food. It's nice to have restaurants open this late, but there's just better Mexican food out there. read more

Would rec getting the king burrito. The cons r that the hot sauce is a bit watered down n my burrito actually broke bc it was too wet so they can wrap it better! read more

Friendly and quick service. I love the late night crowd, hearing that grill sizzle makes me feel excited to get my food hot and fresh.

Burrito house has gotten me through two pregnancies. Cannot say enough about how great these burritos, quesadillas, taco salad, etc. are.

Steak tacos are always very tasty and generously made. Orchata is better than most I've had. This is a simple place, not a fancy place but definitely clean. read more

Stopped in here around 1:30am as it is one of few places open around insomnia time. It was nice to see other patrons at this time. I ordered a chicken burrito to fulfill my hunger. Let me tell you the burrito did not disappoint. They pack it with enough chicken! My burrito came with a great helping of seasoned chicken, beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream. I took some of their made spicy salsa and it paired well with the burrito. The burrito came out fast and hot. I have not been here in a while and this experience confirms my desire to return when I am in the area and seeking a burrito. read more

It has been a long time since we have tried this place. For years friends told me how good the food was, unfortunately @10 years ago I had a "meh" experience. I am happy to discover that experience was the exception, not the rule. I needed A quick dinner and was craving some Mexican food. I ordered ahead in the phone and was told 10 min. When I got there my order was ready. When I got home, the food was hot, fresh, and delicious!! I could not believe how good it was. A couple days later, I was craving a steak taco. Stopped in, ordered and was blown away, again. These guys are doing a great job and are worth 2 tries. So glad I gave them another shot!! read more

Stopped in for quick dinner on Wednesday evening and it was packed. We ordered steak fajita dinner plate which came with good portion steak with peppers and onions along with guacamole, rice and beans. The nacho supreme with Al pastor was delicious with layers of nacho cheese sauce, shredded cheese, jalapeños, sour cream, beans and pico de gallo. Both were delicious and large portions. One of my go-to places for late-night food! I've been coming to burrito house for years, and my favorite food off the menu is nachos supreme and mini chimichanga. if I can give this place a 0 star I would. I found a pieces of hair in my food and was told my food would be ready in 10 minutes while on the phone. I arrive and pay over $20 for 3 tacos and once they saw I didn't leave a tip the guy took my food to the back and took 15 minutes extra just for him to give it to me with hair in it. I hope this place shuts down. I would avoid this place at all costs read more

Boy was this a walk down memory lane. I came back for the first time in seven years since high school to. A quick takeout order. I don't know if they've had a renovation, but the entire ordering experience was a breeze. We got a lengua burrito and two carnita tacos to go. The lengua burrito was marvelous. The meet was soft, tender, and juicy. It's also great for splitting in half with someone else! The tacos were okay. They were overloaded with toppings and didn't hold up as well for takeout due to the extra moisture of the lettuce, cheese, crema. I had no idea they would even be in there, it would have been better on the side of as an optional topping. Salsa definitely saved the day. They were nice enough to throw in some extras! read more

Burrito house used to be awesome now they gotten sloppy and washed. The sauces are watered down. The foods burnt or just flat out unsanitary. And god forbid you ask them for anything. The attitude is insane. They beg for a tip but can't stand to actually do their job right. I swear burrito house died and these slops are playing with it's corpse read more

Has definitely gone downhill. No long lines like I usually experience waiting in for pickup. In the past the lines would be to the door and out of the door trying to find parking. Now I know why. Food isnt the same. Why do I have to argue about getting sour cream and avocado slices like I have gotten so many times here in the past with Chile Relleno dinner but to be fair i have not been here since the pandemic hit. They hastily put in guacmole a lick of it only with lettuce and tomatoes (i dont care for lettuce or like guacmole that much so it was given to others in my group) still listed on menu to get Avocado and Sour Cream. The sauce topping what was that? No spice no flavor just crushed tomato like on a stuffed pizza you would taste from Lou Malantis. What in the tarnation corners have they been cutting in this joint? The pepper for this dish was not even spicy. Felt so bad for a place that had the best chile rellenos in the heydays (pre-pandemic) piping hot that sang to my soul everytime I bit into it. Those days are long gone. I also ordered the Steak Fajita burrito jr it was way less filling versus in the past LOL now I understand what people are crying about as of late with the meat switch. Its nasty. The cut of meat they used to make was delicious and tender good cut of skirt steak this is a pathetic excuse of steak butchered up into small pieces that reminds me of dog meat grade beef lol it was borderline gamey/gritty for some bites versus other bites being a normal cheap taco filling. Gave up on it and it went into the garbage. Dont know what happened. Really dont care anymore for places that raises price, go with less portion AND go downhill in food quality. No bueno. read more

But the last 3 times I came I had nachos, steak dinner 2x the steak is literally so burnt. The meat is literally disintegrated. We have always done carry out from here, even before the pandemic. Tacos, burritos, nachos supreme, french fries supreme, and horchata are our go to items. We usually order some combination of carne asada, carnitas, and fish. The french fries supreme can be compared to a Canadian poutine, but Mexican-American style. All the toppings of nachos you could dream of - 2 kinds of cheese (cheese sauce and shredded cheese), guacamole, tomatoes, onions, refried beans, pickled jalapeños, and sour cream. Best eaten right away, before the fries get soggy. Same goes for the chips in the nachos supreme. Food is always waiting for me by the time I arrive. Friendly, no nonsense staff. Great option for a quick, filling meal. read more

This use to be my spot with various friends and family years back when I use to be in the area. Middle School, High School and even my first year in college this was a place we'd go to get food often. Prices are never terrible and pretty good amounts of meat in the burritos and mini quesadillas. Only thing is I went back now recently and the flavors to me honestly don't seem the same. Some of my other friends that still live in the area have said the same thing. The chicken I use to get in my King Fajita Burrito just taste different now. I thought it might of been a one time thing but I got it a second time within the past few months and it still tasted different compared to the past. Definitely liked the old flavors they had but maybe it's just me and they didn't change anything. Also as a friendly tip to newcomers their chorizo mini quesadilla is still pretty good but it is guaranteed to be an oily mess when you eat it, especially if you got it to go. Huge plus is that they're open late. Staff is pretty nice too even when it is busy. Back then would be a 5 all day but honestly because of the flavor difference with my go to item, I have to give it a 3. read more

Pros: they're open late The food is reasonably priced It tastes good Service was quick and friendly Ambiance was a casual taqueria that reminded me of Filiberto's back in AZ Cons: I had an upset stomach 2h after eating here I had a bunch of diarrhea the next day. One of the more reasonably priced taquerias. Have yet to try something I didn't like here. Their torta de milanesa con aguacate is spot on. Make sure you get their verde salsa. I like to add a splash to every bite. Their chile rellenos and their french fries supreme is pretty bomb too. Their portions are pretty good and I never feel like I'm being ripped off here. Be sure to ask for their escabeche on the side. It adds a nice crunch to your order changing the profile. It's got spice and crunch. There are a few tables outside for you to enjoy your food weather permitting. Be sure to get their horchata to complete your order. One of the few places that don't make it bland. I recommend adding extra cinnamon which is available by the drink station. This place is great for a quick bite and late night eats. They have a location in the city too so if you're in the area swing by: read more

Good food fresh tasty great service and reasonable prices open late and that's a plus because nothing decent is open late I recommend

The quality of food is standard but portions are made for children. I cant understand why the something that was once a icon of abundance & quality is now just an overpriced underwhelming poor imitation of a shadow of good food. Are you getting your food from organic , farm to table, non gmo, non whatever the new trend words are now load of crock, etc...sources? I sadly had to waste money to learn i will never eat here again. If i need an overpriced snack & wanna feel like im LA again? Sure. read more

I have eaten @ Burrito House so many times over the years I can't believe I haven't written a review. Their food is pretty good, good sized portions and very reasonable prices. You can eat like a king wo/breaking the bank. They also have very late hours if you have a craving for late night Mexican food. I went there yesterday and ordered a mini chorizo burrito. Normally I would have gotten a king sized burrito, but I ordered the mini instead for $4.75 plus tax. This was more than enough to satisfy my hunger. I know most people eat too much (myself included) & tend to eat much more then what is really needed a bad habit I'm trying to break.
