The chicken and shrimp are covered in some kind of odd looking grayish-brown sauce that tastes like gravy you would put on mashed potatoes. It is not visually appealing and the taste is not complimentary to this dish! I expected authentic Mexican flavors but the chicken and shrimp have none! I'm actually kind of shocked at the lack of taste in this dish! The best taste I had, sadly, was from the salsa that came with the chips on the side! I'm disappointed to say that I strongly advise against this Pollo la Marina dish unless you enjoy the weird blandness of hospital food with a side of runny gray liquid that tastes like gravy.
