Cute little beach restaurant, excellent customer service, and delicious food! Everything on the menu is fresh, and scrumptious! Definitely try this little place, you will not be sorry! I went into a flow state while eating their chicken burrito. I didn't know where I was but I was transported to a heavenly state. And the steak bowl was so delicious as well. I highly recommend both items. We got them both Baja style and the cream in it was dreamy. The guy up front was really helpful in helping us decide our choices. And it was very cute and cozy inside. I highly recommend checking this place out. read more

Our extended family had a great experience here. Waitresses put tables together, checked on us often & made sure all drinks stayed full. Everyone ordered off the easy options menu and LOVED the food selections and flavor. This one is Destin is smaller and we loved the quaint hometown feel. read more

Wowza!! Now we are from Texas and California and this is the real deal Mexican food. Thank you for finally having a place to eat on this side of town that is good and affordable. Food was fresh, great place for kids, and priced appropriately! We will be back read more

A definite yes if you want to eat like the locals in Destin. Great food! Quick service. The queso was yummy. We had the taco salad and the giant burrito. Go hungry and leave satisfied and you will have checked the Mexican food box for the week! read more

My husband and I ate at burrito del sol every day of our vacation in Destin. We love the food here!! The price was fair for the quality you get here. Their service is fast if you're rushing to get to the beach, or you can take your time dining in their beach shack-of-a-restaurant. They are able to customize any of their options to your liking and the staff are super nice. This is a staple in Destin when we come back! read more

Burrito Del Sol - Steak Burrito Bowl - Seafood Near Me - Destin, Florida

The chicken burrito delivers. Solid flavors, well put together, no complaints on the food itself. If the experience stopped there it'd be an easy four stars. But standing in line watching phone orders jump ahead of customers who physically walked in is a real mood killer. It's a common enough problem, but that doesn't make it less annoying when you're the one being deprioritized for showing up in person. Fix the queue system and this place earns a much better rating. Come for the burrito, just be prepared to wait longer than you should. read more

Really tasty burritos and tacos. Chips were flaky and delicious. Service was a bit slow, but it was a slow day with rain all around so prob just the mood for the day. PLENTY of seating. read more

This place is amazing. The environment is nice and clean and the food tastes great. We go by there when we come down at least once and it never fails to please read more

What a great find! Cute casual scene with fresh, food. Shrimp Baja style tacos hit the spot. Make sure to check out the specials prior to ordering. You're welcome! read more

Food was great! Probably one of the best meals we had well in Destin! Only con: steak was not steak- was like marinated pulled beef. Not what I was expecting and had a strong taco seasoning taste. I would've preferred like flank steak. Queso was very tasty and the guac was great! The quality on the chips and plating was great. Local catch was very well seasoned. Glad we chose to go to this little gem. read more

Food and service were both good. The person at the counter was very friendly & walked us through the menu/ordering process which was basically as follows: Order at the counter @ Burrito Del Sol. PICK YOUR MEAL: Burrito, taco, nachos, taco salad or quesadillas PICK YOUR PROTEIN: chicken, ground beef, tempeh, fish or shrimp PICK YOUR STYLE: Baja, chipotle, bbq, southwest The tacos and nachos were good but we opted to upsize our nachos since we were sharing (aka "Make it Fat"). Our chips literally got lost under all the toppings! We had to dig through all the toppings to get to our chips so in the end it seemed like we were eating a taco salad instead of nachos. Anyway, we liked the southwest style beef nachos and Baja chicken tacos just wish the chips-to-toppings ratio was adjusted a bit when they "Make it Fat" There's indoor and outdoor seating & parking behind the restaurant. read more

Great food. I had a shrimp burrito; and it was delicious. We did a to-go order. Everything was great.

We love eating at new places during vacation and this place was awesome! My burrito was huge and the chips and queso were perfect! I would definitely eat here again! read more

There's a reason why so many locals eat here (and at the location in FWB). This is our favorite take-out food service in Destin. We come here every time we visit despite living in the Hispanic food Mecca of South Texas. They get the little things right and the quality of food is consistently reliable. It's also vegan friendly--the tempeh is excellent if you're looking for plant protein options in Destin. read more

We hadn't been in a few years-it use to be our favorite when we were in town- this experience was pretty awful. The tacos barely had any filling which was bland and the tortillas were ice cold and hard/stale. It was about $80 for the four of us which is crazy considering the quality of the food. We definitely won't be back anymore. Too many other great spots in town. read more

Fresh good food!! Love the ordering- you can pick and choose what you want. Friendly people.

Wow! This place was great! We ordered the nachos with steak! So so good! This place is a keeper! We will definitely be back! Simon is an awesome guy at the front that told us how to order! He had it down!! He made it so easy! He needs to train people at the other restaurants. lol! Best service of the weekend! read more

Great place with build your own options. Pick what you want, how you want it and what type of protein. Large portions at a great price. I would go there again! Also the staff were great! read more

Didnt taste like authentic burrito! But it was really good! Would recommend, price was reasonable and easy to order!

Great spot for lunch. The food is fresh, tasty, and comes out quickly. Perfect place to grab something flavorful without feeling heavy.

Food was delicious .. service was great! Went a couple times ate in and ordered a pick up.. The pick up order was correct!

We really enjoyed the food here. However, we were visiting out of town and accidentally ordered to the wrong location. The person who remade our order was so nice & understanding, then his manager scolded him infront of us and other people waiting in line for their order. Hate to see management treat their employees like that. Wish we would have gotten his name, because he was great. The fish tacos were our personal favorite!! read more

We typically go to the location in FWB but we're in Destin and craving a good Burrito. The Destin location didnt not disappoint. The food was great. I had the Mahi Mahi Burrito and my wife had the shrimp tacos. We both really like Burrito Del Sol and frequent this business regularly. I would say that the atmosphere for both locations are very similar. Both are great and would recommend either of them (just depends on where you are at). Please make sure that you support this business. They do great things.... read more

It was good. The food was fresh and the service was great. It's cute and reasonably priced. A good place to stop for lunch.

This is the best freaking place on the planet. If you could dream up a perfect beach bar burrito taco paradise, this would top it. My husband and I get to come here once a year as we live in Texas so we treasure our visits every time, BUT this time was special as we got to meet Colton, who had us laughing so hard at his witty humor while providing fantastic options to "get the most out of flavor town". Colton you made our night. The joint is totally chill and beachy and we were loving every song they played. Thanks Burrito Del Sol for being so awesome. I would have posted pics of our food but we inhaled them too quickly read more

Overall, the dining experience had its ups and downs. While the food didn't particularly impress us in terms of taste, one standout was definitely the queso we ordered on the side--it was truly delicious. The service was good, with prompt food delivery after ordering at the counter. It was self-serve soda. We sat outside. We probably won't return but a one time visit is worthwhile. read more

Bottom Line: Would recommend. Pet friendly, fast service, simple menu, good food. Atmosphere: Plenty of natural light during the day. Very quiet. Alternative diner vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating. Food: I got the Steak Burrito Southwest Style. It was very big, but very dry. I didn't like it. My companion got the Shrimp Tacos Baja Style. This was so much better. Great flavor and very juicy. We didn't like the tortilla chips and salsa that it came with at all. The tasted very cheap. Not stale, but not crunchy/crispy like you'd expect them to be. NOTE: THE MENU ONLINE DOES NOT REPRESENT THE MENU OF THIS LOCATION. There is another location on the west side of the peninsula. That location may have the online menu but this location does not. Service: Not much service for a fast food restaurant but the food came out very quickly. Overall: I would come back. Just avoid the burritos. It's more food for the price, but lower quality, at least from our experience. Otherwise, decent price, good tacos, and fast service. I would give it a 3.5 if I could. It would have been four stars if the burrito and tortilla chips were better. read more
