I have lived in San Diego for the last 7 years (which is the taco stand/burrito shack MECCA in SoCal) BUT I still drool when I think of Burrito Boy on Franklin in Eugene! It is AWESOME-the veggie quesadilla is my all time favorite-douse it in salsa verde and it is perfection! O. G. EUG!! Now improved with drive through! They've been the classic for years, and can't be duplicated. Go for wet boy burrito, they don't disappoint. I don't know how their hit sauce can taste so round and look so light, but either way they obviously know what they're doing. read more

A Eugene, OR classic. If you get a burrito here, always get it wet (red sauce, cheese and chips). Each location has been very consistant.

This review is ONLY for the huevos rancheros breakfast burrito. Does anyone else make this? I'd never seen it before. It was a party in my tortilla! Everything that would've gone onto a plate of huevos rancheros was wrapped up in the burrito, including 2 perfectly fried eggs with oozy runny yolks (have napkins ready and don't eat this over your work clothes). My family's favorite quick -bite -to -eat-place. The beef soft-tacos are so fresh, the salsa tastes just-made. Plenty of food for such a bargain price. Can't go wrong here. I walked in and immediately there was a smiling face from the register welcoming me in to the restaurant. I've eaten here many times and the food never disappoints. While it was a little bit out of the way, the food definitely reminded me of Mexican food back at home in California! The price was very reasonable, and I ended up getting that giant burrito with the three meats (called El Burro "Suprimo"). It was so good! I was nervous to have it at first, since I don't usually get that kind of meat, but it was fantastic. Would definitely bike the 2 miles to get there again. My husband and I gave this a try after a recommendation from a friend. We wish we would've saved our time and our money. We shared nachos and a burrito with green salsa. The total was $16 which seem outrageous for fast food (or semi-fast food) and there was absolutely no flavor. I've had the carnitas burrito, breakfast burrito with bacon and the breakfast ranchero burrito. The price is spot on for the amount of food you get. The flavor is perfect. All the ingredients seemed freshly prepared. I can eat alot of food and their burrito fills me up. When I get to the bottom nub of the burrito I'm already full but can't stop eating it because it tastes so good. Lol. My favorite is breakfast ranchero burrito. I don't know what these people are talking about. The guy who said it was like an authentic style CA burrito....not even close. The ingredients just arent fresh enough, not to mention mediocre tortillas and rather generic tasting salsa. Also, most definately not cheap! Considering what the ingredients in mexican food costs, the prices seem pretty taxed to me. Oh yeah the jorritos sodas are way overpriced too. The only good thing about it is that its open 24hrs. So I'm pretty sure I got overcharged because the "burrito boy" had to "accidentally" ring me up on two checks, which makes no sense but whatever, I mean, I smoke the occasional joint too so I get it. BUT then he proceeded to get 2 out of the 3 items we ordered wrong. When I explained repeatedly what was wrong (no tomatoes and no onions / no tomatoes and no lettuce), he then got the order wrong a second time. Don't waste your time at this location. My chicken enchilada came cold the cheese was completely unmelted. The sauce tasted like it came from a can. The chicken itself was bland as well. I broke a fork trying to take a bite size piece of. I'm bummed because this location used to be a staple in my families week but in the recent 6 mos the customer service has been some of the worst I've ever experienced. 3 outta 5 times the order is incorrect, even tho everything is repeated and printed correctly on receipt. The lack of personality and enthusiasm to please out the window is nonexistent, and I shouldn't have to beg for green sauce with my order that's always over $30. I've been in the service industry for YEARS and this store needs to take some pointers from Franklin on their guest service skills and policy implementation. Sometimes I get green sauce for free other times I'm begging and paying for it. I always tip and I never complain but I just got home with an order that cost $36.50 and all but one taco order was incorrect and I had to pay for green sauce since the employee stated I only had one order which equals 2 sauces... one order ? Why because there was only 1 person in the car? Makes no sense !! Get it together W 11th your going downhill quickly with the new help. 6 tacos and 2 burritos = WAY MORE THAN 2 little sauces !!! Used to love the burritos from here. Their food has declined drastically. Today they not only messed up an order for 3 items but attempted to pass a glop of canned refried beans wrapped in a tortilla off as a chicken boy burrito. I called and was told I could return it, then when I drove back they tore it apart to show me the chicken at the bottom and refused to refund my money. Luckily 6 dollars is a cheap price to pay for a lesson in their poor customer service and food quality. We won't be back. I much prefer mi tierra and their incredible service. I ordered a burrito on my way out of town, the order was not correct and I could not eat the burrito due to a food allergy. When I called to let them know that my order was not correct, I was told, sorry there's nothing I can do. I was so bummed that I couldn't eat the burrito, but was more upset about the service. I hate to do this but I feel that I must. While I love burrito boy and think that there is good value for the money, Burrito Boy is NOT vegetarian friendly. For the 2nd time now, I ordered a breakfast burrito which normally should only contain eggs, potatoes, and cheese only to find a chunk of bacon in there. When I went back to tell them about this, they did not seem very apologetic and did nothing to offer me any compensation. I know this may seem nit-picky but the truth of the matter is that a person should be able to order a normally vegetarian item from the menu and expect that this is what they will get. Great burritos and fast, good prices. BUT, why in the world is the management so damn cheap with their red sauce? They either won't put any in the bag with your order at all, or just put 1 in. Even if we have two or three burritos. If we ask for more, we get dirty looks and they throw them into the bag, just kind of angry. What is the big deal with not giving us red sauce? We've even suggested that we don't want the green sauce if it means we can get the red sauce, or more of the red, instead. But NO, they just won't. We even offered to pay them for it! Still NO. Picture a pack of people feasting on a burrito the way a pack of hyenas feast on a yak carcass, the poor burrito laying on its side as folks surround it, tearing at its soft and succulent tortilla skin. That's how many it could feed. Well that's a slight exaggeration but they are big. I had the Chorizo burrito. nicely spiced, with egg and shredded sharp cheddar cheese. $4.25. you could have made at least three tacos with this, except the style on this side of the coast tends to be burritos versus breakfast tacos in the southwest.
