I bought a lovely cushion for a dining chair in here today which practically matches my kitchen curtains! All the furniture can apparently be delivered quickly as well. There are hundreds of dining tables and chairs in store, a large selection of sofas, chairs, coffee tables, TV cabinets and sideboards; plenty of beds to browse too with a choice of single, double, king size and children's beds. I was looking mainly at sofas the day before yesterday but didn't like any of the colours. The man working in there assured me that most of the soft furniture came in most colours he produced a book of colours and swatches of material. I preferred one I saw in another store so didn't want to purchase anything on this occasion - but it's definitely worth a look here if you're furnishing a home.

Steak pie at m&s kilmarnock I purchased a steak pie in the…read morekilmarnock branch for my xmas dinner. Had past experience when my mother in law from paisley (madge) would give it to my wife and i for xmas dinner proudly stating it was from marks and spencer and indeed it was a good pie but that was over twenty years ago.Now it has a pastry bottom and sides not counting the top. That must save on the steak but keeps the weight the same. Beef content twenty four percent, water and fat content seventy six percent. Very stodgy pie, i left about twenty percent of fat in the tray. How can that be described as a quality steak pie i will never know. Will make my own for new year. In comparison to the big stores in the town.m&s steak pie had the least amount of meat in the pie and at £4 per pie i feel i was ripped off.

This branch of M&S is one I use a lot and often call in there. It's in the main shopping street in…read moreKilmarnock, which is pedestrianised, although there is a car park at the back of the store (easy to get into from the one-way system around the town). It's all on one level so not a huge store but a reasonable size nevertheless. There's the usual good quality range of clothes for all the family and there are some great gifts there too. I like the cosmetics and toiletries (non tested on animals), especially the new coconut range which is surprisingly inexpensive (£2 for a bottle of moisuriser for example) so I have been stocking up lately! There's a great food hall at the back of the store and they sell flowers and newspapers there too. You'll find a small cafe tucked away behind the tills (easy to miss it altogether if you don't know it's there) but I find it disappointing as with the cafes at other M&S stores. The coffees and teas are pleasant enough but the seating area is basic and crammed together and there's not enough choice in snacks or meals.

Unfortunately they didn't have what I wanted but I had a good look round. The man who was working in there was very helpful and actually suggested a few different stores I might try. You'll find all the furniture at ground level, with many suites of lounge chairs, beds and dining tables. Everything seems good quality, sturdily built and similar in price to the other furniture shops I've visited lately. There's a good-sized car park at the front just off the main road and, with luck, you'll be able to park practically outside the main door, as I did.

Very friendly staff, well laid out with clear sections of the store which include - baby goods, toiletries, petstuff, car accessories, stationary, food etc. Great place to pick up silly gifts as well as stocking fillers at Christmas time. The only drawback is location if you are driving - the closest parking is probably Gala bingo car park - which means you have to brave the crazy taxi rank.

Wether your looking for stuff for the house or little things for presents for people. There will be something here for you. They even have little things for the car like sat nav holders. And car cleaning accessories. The even have a good selection of shampoo's and male grooming accessories. And general accessories that may come in hand such as blank cd's and batteries. The store its self is well set out. And everything is visable. And easy to find. The staff are usually quite helpful. The only problem with these types of stores is when they tend to get busy moving around can become a problem.

I'm still very tempted by a nice two-seater which I found but there was just one of them; I want to find a matching pair if possible. However, the man I spoke to (who was very helpful) said there were no other sofas exactly the same in their Irvine store either, where he works part of the time, which is a pity.
