I bought a lovely cushion for a dining chair in here today which practically matches my kitchen curtains! The cushions were reduced to £6 which is a good price compared to the ones I've seen in other stores recently.

I'm still very tempted by a nice two-seater which I found but there was just one of them; I want to find a matching pair if possible. However, the man I spoke to (who was very helpful) said there were no other sofas exactly the same in their Irvine store either, where he works part of the time, which is a pity. Certainly a nice store to look round and I shall go back there again soon to see what else is on offer.

All the furniture can apparently be delivered quickly as well. There are hundreds of dining tables and chairs in store, a large selection of sofas, chairs, coffee tables, TV cabinets and sideboards; plenty of beds to browse too with a choice of single, double, king size and children's beds. I was looking mainly at sofas the day before yesterday but didn't like any of the colours. The man working in there assured me that most of the soft furniture came in most colours he produced a book of colours and swatches of material. I preferred one I saw in another store so didn't want to purchase anything on this occasion - but it's definitely worth a look here if you're furnishing a home.

It's not been a great shopping centre since woolworths dominated a large portion of the centre which linked it to the other side of King Street. It's reasonably well kept and clean with some new branded signs on each of the entrances. It's good for browsing if your waiting for your bus but that's it'!

There are special 'meal deals' too, depending on the time of day (two meals for £6 or £8 after 4.00pm for instance). You pay at the till and then the food is freshly cooked and then brought over to your table. I was on foot that day so couldn't carry very much but I had a good look round and will be back with the car sometime (there's a large free car park). It's not far from the railway station so handy for anyone wanting to do a bit of shopping before catching a train. There's a very nice fresh bread and cake aisle and a lovely range of cheeses. At the cheese counter you can ask for little pieces of cheese to be cut for a taste before you buy. The store opens from 8.00 until 10.00pm 7 days a week.

You can buy medicines over the counter, cosmetics, toiletries and even attractive Christmas gifts in decorative packaging. One thing I hadn't seen before, when I called in yesterday, was the huge catalogue on a tall table near the counter (a bit like the ones in Argos) where you can browse through an enormous range of gifts and other products and order them, to be collected later. They also offer the service where you can have your own photos put on mugs, coasters, keyrings, etc, plus large canvas prints.

I didn't want my husband to have to wait for me too long (!) but I did manage a good look around before I left the store (I didn't want to miss out on any other great bargains!) There are lots of great reductions at the moment but the new range full-price garments are really nice too. I also liked some of the accessories, including the jewellery. I haven't really shopped much in Dorothy Perkins before but I'll certainly return for another look the next time I need some local retail therapy. That dress has made my day!!!

Plenty of styles to choose from and different materials as well, from leather to fabric. There are often some bargains to be found too so it's well worth a browse! The staff are always friendly and helpful. I spent some time looking around in here one day last week when my husband was buying some new study lace-up shoes. I didn't buy anything for myself on that occasion but I intend to find a new pair of boots soon so will pay them another visit!

Unfortunately they didn't have what I wanted but I had a good look round. The man who was working in there was very helpful and actually suggested a few different stores I might try. You'll find all the furniture at ground level, with many suites of lounge chairs, beds and dining tables. Everything seems good quality, sturdily built and similar in price to the other furniture shops I've visited lately. There's a good-sized car park at the front just off the main road and, with luck, you'll be able to park practically outside the main door, as I did.
