The BEST Morrisons I've ever been to. It's enormous, yet because it's a Mozzas it doesn't feel all…read moreclinical and warehousey like a massive Tesco or Asda (and Sainsbury's these days) does. I can't give it five stars because it is just a Morrisons, however if you need to do a weekly shop and you value good deals, good choice and excellent fresh meat, this is the place to go. There's also a restaurant... but I'm not sure I could ever bring myself to trying that!

Morrisons is a chain of supermarkets prevalent throughout the UK…read more The store at Lindsayfield in East Kilbride was originally a Safeway store but when Morrisons bought Safeway out, it was rebranded. I find this to be a particularly nice branch of Morrisons. It has a petrol station which I have used several times and been impressed with. I find Morrisons petrol prices to be very competitive. The store has a large car park at the front and cash machines at the main entrance. Morrisons stores are laid out like old fashioned markets which is something I personally like and when you enter you will find fresh fruit and veg on display, some of which is on a mock barrell to give the feeling of these markets. The store has an excellent selection of groceries on offer and there are Butchers, Fishmongers and Pie departments, as well as the bakery. Morrisons has a fairly decent non-food section offering homewares, kitchenware, CDs, DVDs and games. Lastly this Morrisons has a great cafe which I have used several times and rate highly. I like the fact you order your hot food at Morrisons and they then cook it for you - there's nothing on offer here that has been sitting on a hotplate for too long drying out! This is an excellent supermarket in East Kilbride.

It's not just the nectar points that bring me back to this particular supermarket week after week…read more Obviously, when you get used to your supermarket, you get to know where every little thing is without having to wander around the isles thinking about asking another member of staff. I've been to every brand of supermarket and there's just something nicer about this particular shop. I've been to other Sainsbury's as well, and they don't even feel as nice as this one. The only fault that I DO come across some weeks, is that the same staff that cover the deli' counter have to cover the hot chicken counter at the end of the shop, and, because there is a large egg shelf between, they don't see you if you're waiting to be served. You are stuck with the dilema of moving from your position at the front of the queue and walking up to the deli counter to tell the staff that you're wanting. They might come down and serve the person who was waiting behind me first. I toss and turn in bed at night worrying about the thought of it sometimes. I think I like this shop because the staff are relaxed and friendly

Based in Kingsgate retail park in East Kilbride this is my favourite supermarket and has been since…read moreI started shopping here back in 2000. It has a good range of fresh produce clearly marked in regards to origin, I prefer to buy 'local' where I can and Sainsbury's are very good at plastering a saltire on anything even remotely Scottish. Unlike some supermarkets I've been to in recent times this Sainsbury's does a really good job of marking down the end of shelf life produce which saves me lots of cash and is also virtually the only way I can afford to eat meat. More generally the store isn't too big, but still manages to stock a variety of non-food items including clothing, electrical equipment, dvd's, cd's and so on. It has good lavatory facilities, although they are a tad small at times when you've got a small child in tow. They also have a really good cafe where we often stop off for a bite to eat if we're pushed for time ... oh yeah, the staff are really friendly too and there are one or two characters who really make the place feel like somewhere you belong.

Being a M&S Simply food store you'd think there wasn't much to this place, but you'd be wrong…read more At the left hand side of the store is a decent size M&S cafe which does the usual cafe range which is usually restricted to larger size M&S stores. We've had the occasional lunch here on a weekend and the food is good and the service is what you would expect. One of these days we'll have to pop in and try their Afternoon Tea which is currently being subtlety promoted. The store itself has all the standard M&S foods which they somehow managed to cram into this tiny little store. It even has a small bakery for fresh breads and pastries and a small freezer section. For those on the go there's a small sandwich and party food section behind the min entrance, where you can grab a sandwich and get to the self service tills rather than fighting your way through the store just for a bit for lunch. It's always busy at the weekends, especially when they do a meal deal (best to go as soon as the advert airs on TV so that you don't miss out.) but if you time it right you can occasionally have the place to yourself to browse without tripping over the staff or having to dodge other customers baskets. As a vegetarian there is a decent choice available and M&S are slowly expanding their vegi options ( I'm not just thinking about their range of Veggie Percy Pigs, Colin the caterpillars, etc - honest ) however is is a bit frustrating when you see a nice desert on the TV adverts and find you can't have it because it contains Gelatine :-( Overall it's nice, good (slightly pricy) food, handy when you want a light lunch or hot drink, but best to avoid at peek times.
