It's a lovely stop along the outdoor Buchanan Street pedestrian mall. With four levels, lots of retail, a few restaurants, and one great chocolatier, Princes Square Shopping Centre is worth a few hours of shopping for the ladies on vacation in Glasgow. The facility is just steps from the St. Enoch subway station on the Inner Line if you need a reference to the metro stops.

Not being much of a shopping centre fan generally, I actually really like Princes Square. Granted,…read moreI don't actually do much shopping here but it is nice for a place to take cover on a rainy day and browse the shops. This is an upmarket shopping centre which has more expensive high street shops like Reiss, Ted Baker, Vivienne Westwood and Cos (which I'm still yet to check out!). The centre is certainly decorated to match the crowd it's looking to attract - glitzy, glam and always clean and tidy. I like the size of the centre as well - it's very dinky but still has lots of shops and is easy to navigate. There's also a host of restaurants, bars and cafés but I'll be honest - I've not visited many of them. I ate at Barca probably 4 years ago and also one of the places on the bottom floor but I think that's changed hands. One down side is that if you are dining at a restaurant on the lower level, parents will tend to let their kids run riot in the centre circle which can be a bit of a mood-killer. Princes Square doesn't have a car park due to its location but it is really close to train and subway. If you do really fancy driving, probably St Enoch or Mitchell Street are the closest car parks.

Not a bad place. Cuts the journey to town or other shopping centres like the Fort…read more It has the same shops as most of these retail parks, so if you are in or around this area it is very handy. Shops like B&Q, Halfrauds, Argos, Matalan, Boots, M&S, Sports Direct and that popular pasta place that I confuse with the ice cream...Ben & Jerry's. I only really use it for Sports Direct new gym stuff or football gear. You have a few more stores here but I cannot remember their names don't want to be giving you false info. There is a Burger King just at the entrance to this place if that is what you are into. If you are travelling through, there is a shell garage right next to this place for fuel top up. This place used to be pointless but new shops have popped up and it is getting a little better.

As well as the biggest Marks & Spencer Simply Food that I have ever seen, it also houses an Argos, a B&G, a couple of furniture and bed shops, some carpet shops, a Curry's,a homebase and a halfords. Basically, it's great place to go if you're doing a bit of redecorating and DIY. There's also a drive-through Burger King if you're peckish. The great thing about this place is that there's a huge car park which is completely free.

Silverburn is my favourite shopping centre in Glasgow.. So what makes it so good.. I like the fact…read morethat it is big and spacious even on a Saturday you still have room to move about without bumping into folk. Parking is also great.. Loads of it.. The multi storey car park has a great lighting set up to let you know where a free space is.. If you look at the roof you'll see lots of red and green lights.. If you see a green light underneath it will be a free parking space.. There are lots of different shops all the kids you want even a small version of debenhams.. And the food on offer is great. wagamama, nandos, you sushi, the list goes on.. There are lots of lovely little stalls dotted about where you can buy some original not in the high street type things. There is also a big tesco attached and a newly opened cineworld..

I have mixed feelings about Silverburn hence the 3 stars…read more Things that are good about it: - It's indoors - handy for shopping in the rain (which is most of the time) - Good selection of shops including clothes, food, homewares - Some pretty ok places to eat, I normally go to Yo Sushi when I'm here but don't mind the odd Nando's/Wagamama. There's a few new eating places too - Giraffe, Zizzi and Carluccio's is opening later this year. Things that aren't so good about it: - It's a bit of a strange shape so it means you'll walk from one end to the other, and then remember something you need at M&S or Tesco, and have to walk all the way back again - The car park is a bit of a nightmare. I try to avoid visiting on the weekend as even then it's hard to park. At Christmas you'd be better off getting public transport if you're really desperate to shop here. - The toilets seem like they're really far apart I go here when I need to, but I rarely visit just for a wander around the shops anymore.

Split over 3 floors, you'll find all sorts of food/coffee places and a range of high street stores like Next, jewellers, art shops, John Lewis. And Lego. Yes, Buchanan Galleries is home to The Lego Store. Pretty much everytime i come in here I HAVE to visit the Lego Store. It's an addiction ;( And I don't want help with it. As shopping centres go, you could do worse than the Buchanan Galleries. For one thing, it's not too bad too look at. It blends nicely with the buildings around it and, as is clear to see from the slope on the second (first?) floor it has been carefully designed to intersect with the corner that joins Buchanan Street with Sauchiehall Street. Within the Galleries there's a great range of stores - it's not all just ladies fashion, even if that does make up the majority of what's on offer. There are also gift shops, men's fashion, places selling candles, cosmetics and toiletries, toy shops (Lego!), jewellery, tech, stationary and of course, food and drink. Oh, and there's a John Lewis. It might not be the most exciting, most unique selection on offer in Glasgow, but sometimes all you're shopping for is a basic pair of jeans, a birthday card and a pretzel to keep you going. In which case, this is the place to come.
