Was told about this place and had to check it out. Was pretty empty in there, I went early. You order everything on the kiosk and they bring it to you. I did the build your own with spicy shrimp. (Onions, carrots, white rice, noodles, egg) this was soo good and fresh. The service was great, and the food came out fast. Love restaurants that sit the sauce out so you can help yourself instead of charging per sauce. The inside was very clean and had plenty of seating. They give a lot of food as well. It's pretty good. I got the one in the skillet and I love that the rice gets nice and crispy!!! The beef bulgogi was nicely seasoned with a nice portion. I wish there would be a couple crispy bits here and there but the taste was just perfect. Nice light and crispy egg roll too. read more

Well since covid things have changed. While I do understand the removal of the salad bar I don't understand the why this place is less personable for customers. When you first walk in you are not greeted with employees but 2 large screens to take your order. For people not computer savvy (thank goodness I am) this can be a deterrent because you need to wait while other people are giving you the hurry up look. The food was good only issue if food is freshly cooked why was my rice cold. I returned to Carol ( who was awesome) just only needed to feel the bowl and said she would take care of it. What a joy this was. Rice is and will always be a go to for me. The food was delicious and very filling. Don't let the size of the bowl fool you. Welcomed with a smile as soon as we walked in and the staff were super friendly. It's a great concept where you go in and order your food on a touch screen which was very easy to follow and make it how YOU want. The restaurant itself was very clean and nicely decorated. Wow! Really loved the concept and quality of this restaurant. You walk in to self-service kiosks to place your order. Thankfully everything is pretty self explanatory so i didn't have any questions. The dining area was spacious, clean and inviting. We grabbed our drinks, sauces and took a seat. Since we were dining in we just had to try the hot stone bowls and they exceeded my expectations. It came out hot and sizzling! I really loved that they don't skimp on the rice because after all, it's what brings the whole dish together. It has great flavor on its own but their sauces definitely kick it up a notch! My favorite combo was the signature and sesame sauces. The kimchi was really good too! Super simple ordering at a kiosk once you step into the restaurant. It was clean, service was quick and the food was great for the value! Ordered the Bibimbap on a hot bowl with kimchi rice, spicy pork and some veggie toppings. I did not like the fact that you had to pay extra for corn, not sure what makes corn so much more special than the other veggies. I walked in and immediately noticed the order sign to the right. I approached the ziosk and found what I wanted--the bulgogi bowl--but I wanted it on hot stone. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the option on the ziosk, so I went ahead and paid $17 for the regular bowl. I took my ticket to the kitchen and asked one of the crew members if I could have my dish on hot stone. He said no problem, and I was willing to pay extra, but he didn't ask. A few minutes later, a Korean lady approached my table and said I had ordered the regular bowl, which couldn't be on hot stone. I asked her to show me how to order it from the ziosk, but she said I had to build the bowl myself. How was I supposed to know what was in the bulgogi bowl? Was I supposed to take notes on each topping and enter it into the "build" section? She said I had to look more carefully before ordering, which was just rude. I was a first-time customer, and she didn't even help me order; she just corrected me like I was a five-year-old child. I told her to refund my money and left. So, if you have been on social media lately you've surely seen the engagement of the amazing variations of Korean dishes. I stopped in and ordered the BBQ Chicken Bibimbop with Ganjang (House Soy) and Gochujang. I can tell you that this dish was amazing. It had all the ingredients of a normal Korean bowl but with BBQ chicken as the protein. I did not take anything off the list because I wanted to try all the ingredients and see how they melded together with the flavors. I add Gochujang because I wanted a hint of spice with the bowl, and I am glad I did because it gave it the kick I was looking for. I took this into work as my lunch. I was full for the rest of the day and didn't need to even eat dinner. If you are in the area, make sure you stop through. read more

What a great concept. The best Korean comfort food, bibimbap, in a fast food setting. Genius idea for a chain. Also adapted for the west in terms of options and mild, sweet flavors. However, I go for the traditional bowl with the regular hot bean paste (sauce) rather than the watered down, sweetened sauce. It's crazy to me how expensive this dish is in Korean restaurants but reasonable here. This dish in Korea is typically super cheap. It's given to foreigners on flights there too as an intro to Korean food. Quick service here as the concept dictates. Can't go wrong here! read more

Been so long since I came here. When it opened in the first week, they had free serve-yourself miso soup and salad, and it was great. Now they no longer serve that but they have upgraded the quantity of the food. It's bigger and more. I ordered crispy chicken with all toppings. It's delicious. The amount of meat is super generous, the quality stays great since the first time they opened. I like the self service technology they have now. This is my favorite location! I order the kid's bbq chicken with steamed rice and veggies. This location seasons and cooks the chicken perfectly. At some of the other locations I've noticed the chicken being a bit dry. I always order extra chicken and they fill it to the brim! The bbq sauce they have is decent, but I used teriyaki sauce and it elevates the flavor. The only con I have is that it's pricey. The food can be very good in this chain of restaurants, if I can get my order placed correctly. Since they abandoned cashiers and switched to on-screen ordering, I have to deal with the very worst on-screen interface I have ever been forced to deal with. We had to ask a crewperson to come to the screen to remove the extra bowls that popped into our order (a problem that has happened before at other locations). We also asked her to correct the problems on our order. And in the end, the bowls that were delivered were still incorrect. When we were finished, a manager came to chat me up while my husband was in the restroom. I tried to explain my frustrations with the company's order system, but she didn't seem to understand a word I was saying. To whatever low-bid company that got the contract to design this hell, I recommend reading The Psychology of Everyday Things by Donald Norman. The book is from the 1970s, but still especially applies to software programming (the guy worked for Apple for a while). The cover shows a teapot with the handle and the spout on the same side. A few weeks ago on Friday evening we were headed home from the airport and wanted to grab a bite to eat. This one is right off the 121, perfect! We walked in about 8:20, they were a little busy, three groups ahead of us, we ordered, found a table and waited for our food. Stone bowls x 2 and an appetizer. About fifteen minutes later, an older asian lady delivers the food. She's very soft spoken and kind as she asks if we need anything else. After she walked away, I say to my husband, "Did I order the small size? Good thing we got an appetizer! Normally, the stone bowl is so full it's hard to mix without food spilling out. This night the stone bowl was almost half full. Historically, I have always had leftovers to take home. The food is hot but the appearance is warmed leftovers which is not normal for this place. You know how broccoli looks when it's been in the microwave, that's how all the veggies look. And then it tastes like microwave broccoli... GROSS! I add more sauce and discard the three twigs of broccoli. We're chatting about the trip and eating when a boy, Caleb, approaches the table, as I look up and smile, I'm taken aback, he is ANGRY! It's the look on his face, the AGGRESSIVE STANCE, the CLENCHED FISTS. He says, "You have to leave." I said, "Excuse me?" He restates you have to leave but adds a NOW. I say, "We're almost finished." He responds with, "We're all leaving and locking the doors so GET OUT!" He makes his way around the dining area telling other customers the same thing. I go to get a lid from the counter, the manager apologizes for this kid and offers to refund our money. I decline but tell her she should FIRE him. She tries to keep her voice low so he doesn't hear her, she says SHE IS AFRAID to say anything to him. I ask her for the corporate number, she says she cannot give it to me because he will take it out on her if he gets in any trouble. And she has to close with this kid many late nights. I say I'm sorry she is experiencing this kind of ABUSE at work. She wipes away tears as I go back to gather my things. She cleans the dining room while his entitled ass sits on the food prep area. Seriously? I don't know if this place is a corporate store or a franchise but the owner should be informed. This loose cannon is a HUGE liability; you should eliminate the liability before he hurts someone. read more

Went hunting for a new place to try. I have not tried Korean BBQ before so took the leap. When you reach the counter you have to give them all the option on your bowl. This was a LOT of pressure for a first time visitor. I figured out the system and went for the hot stone bowl. The front counter associate explain the hot stone bowl keeps cooking the food in the bowl and makes the rice crispy on the bottom. Who doesn't want crispy rice. I went with the signature Spicy bulgogi with white rice and all the toppings except the kimchi. When it arrive the stone bowl is burning hot. Clearly so i could have burning rice. I poured some spiced soy sauce in the dish and i could hear it sizzle on the bottom. The bulgogi is very yummy and had a good amount of spice. Nice clean and inviting restaurant. Came in and it was very quiet. The staff was friendly and quick to help. I ordered the hot stone bowl with spicy garlic pork. This was definitely a new adventure for me and happy I gave it a try! Hot stone bowl is an understatement! Your food stays hot forever!! I added all the toppings minus the fish cake and one other that I'm at a loss for. Tossed some of the spicy chili sauce on to add some spicy heat and it was pretty fantastic! This was a new stop for our family and one we will most likely make again. Sadly, the gluten free options are minimal and not the best for those with celiac. I had rice, shrimp and bean sprouts and it was very good. I would order again. The rest of my family however has not dietary restrictions and enjoyed a little reminder of Korean food and culture! They have hot stone bowls which we will try next time we order and eat in the restaurant. This visit was a to-go kind of trip as we were on our way back to Arkansas. What a great place, where has this been all my life. I would call this the same business model as Chipotle; they have a small menu and do what they do well. I brought my picky kids here and the both loved it. I got a hot bowl, they both got non-hot chicken bowls. The place is clean and the service is great. After you order there is complementary miso soup and salad. The food arrives pretty fast and I can say my bowl was amazing!! I had spicy pork with bean sprouts and mushrooms, the kids both got chicken, my daughter even had an egg over her bowl. I can't wait to come back here and try something else, my daughter shared on piece of her chicken then got stingy. When we finished, all bowls were clean, no leftovers... what a great testament to the deliciousness of this place. Bravo to Burning Rice!!! We've come to this location a few times, but the last time was three weeks ago, and our first time really eating out since the pandemic began. Missing the sauce and soup bar, though understandable. And the hot stone pot is a must! It ensures your extremely large portion stays hot the entire time, and it also gives those crunchy rice bits at the bottom. And don't forget to top with an egg! Yum! Inside, the tables are socially distanced, and it looks like the added some outdoor furniture (though I can't remember if that was there before or not). Highly recommend, especially the bulgogi meat. The eggs are kept outside after being brought out from the fridge. The sauce bottles are not ever washed, just refilled. So if you have ever eaten here and gotten an upset stomach. TLDR: Decent place for hot stone bibimbap! Preface: I'm Korean, and I eat bibimbap (mixed rice) often. My grandma and I ordered the bulgogi hot stone bowl with all toppings. I took off one star because the bulgogi was too sweet for us. I grew tired of eating it a quarter of the way through, so I won't be ordering the bulgogi again. I also personally would have liked a bit more kimchi. Regardless, the toppings and sauces were all great (I especially liked the house soy sauce). And we were only able to finish half-- the portion is big! Maybe the size of two big bowls of rice? I would definitely recommend paying extra for the hot stone bowl over the regular bowl, and I also recommend trying the different sauces :) Service: Average. The lady at the counter was super nice, gave me extra empty containers and then showed me the complimentary salad and soup bar to take advantage of. Inside the place is nice and open. The menu isn't too overwhelming also which makes it easy to order and not scratch you're head. The Bulgogi was actually way to tough and hard to chew at times. It was too thick cut on some bites and felt more like beef jerky. Was definitely let down on that one which was a bummer since that should be their staple meat to make right! The chicken however was perfectly cooked and really good flavor wise. Lots of vegetable options as well as a fried egg which is always the perfect topping! They have regular and spicy sauce. I'd recommend doing regular because they have all their sauces on the bar that you can get extra off so you can tailor the level of spicy you want without taking a chance that you will like it. They do have a free salad and soup bar with your meal as well as extra sauces. Overall great place if you like the Korean bowls. So this place wasn't what I expected, but it was SO good! I thought it was going to be a Korean BBQ place where you cook your own food, but it's not. It's a fast casual restaurant, prices are reasonable, and food is great! I ordered the spicy chicken hot stone bowl. Warning - you must be patient if you order the hot stone bowl, because that sucker is HOT! The name burning rice really is appropriate here, or more like burning mouth in my case. The bowl was still steaming even by the time I finished! I might switch to the regular bowl next time so it cools down a little quicker. The spice level on the spicy chicken was fairly mild.
