I came to Burning Kiln as part of my stop with Ride the Bine tour. The first thing that's great is the property itself. Just looking at it from the driveway is beautiful. The lush green field, the gorgeous winery, the lunch patio, and even the new glass venue for events is breath taking. I'm not usually a wine drinker, but since we were able to test some, I have found my new love for white wine! Horse & Boat and Sweet Leaf are AMAZING wines. My boyfriend likes red wine, and really enjoyed the Kiln Hanger. Their open air patio is also the cutest spot. It's perfect for grabbing some food to go along with all the wine you'll drink. If you like Perch, you'll definitely need to try their perch tacos. My boyfriend got these and said they were some of the best fish tacos he's ever eaten. I ordered the gourmet burger, and let me tell you... it was the BEST burger I've ever eaten. You can tell it was hand pressed and fresh.. the meat was so juicy and fell apart so easily. Paired up with the goat cheese & roasted red peppers just completed it! Do yourself a favour and come get this burger!! If I didn't live 2 hours away, I'd definitely be here more often! I'm actually upset I can't enjoy the wine and burger more often... I would also love to hold events here as the property is to die for. It would be perfect for photos.. and weddings too!

This was a great experience. Tastings are 3 for 10 dollars and you get to keep the glass. You can also just buy a glass and enjoy the amazing property. Our tasting was dine by Marilyn who was incredible. Knowledgeable, passionate and funny. She totally made the experience. The wine was fantastic. Every wine we tasted was delicious. Please stop here. It is amazing

Fish tacos and salad. Definitely try the fish tacos! ($14)

We came here at 4pm for the tour followed by a lovely dinner. The tour is $5 and includes 3 tastings. If you buy 2 bottles you get your tasting fee waived. I guarantee you will buy wine (I bought 6 bottles!). Very interesting how they use the Tobacco kilns to dry the grapes. The dinner is outside on their wonderful patio. Bit chilly when the sun goes down but it is a great atmosphere and good people. We ordered the fish tacos ($14), salad ($10) and the cornmeal crusted cheddar ($10). It was all delicious, especially the fish tacos! Everything on their menu looked tempting. I would definitely come back!

Used this opener on all family gatherings but this time the cork busted into a hundred pieces and into the wine.

I Emailed them several times with no response, the Cork was rotten and broke apart in a hundred pieces then fell into the wine. I have photos of it all, it fell into the wine my Grandma brought back on her trip there, her 3rd trip there. Our Family enjoyed the wine until it we had to strain it through a coffee filter (Fun). We will no longer support such ignorance. Our whole family is very much into wine and no problems with this place until now. Shame to make a 86 yr old carry a couple of bottles back with her on the bus. We told her not to because it would be too heavy for her condition, but she did anyways because she's a kind person....till you make her mad. Poor service and lack of any communication with the buyer.

darn I just saw a pic of the blueberry pie - did not get to try that…read more Went for a wine tasting .... was ok. Did not get any wine. It was interesting we also went for a meal and got a flight to taste - She seemed to pour each glass separately to taste after we finished the previous - (so no actual "flight" at all). What made it odd to begin with was that she gave me the glass of wine to taste while I was busy playing a bean-bag game they had there - which made playing the game difficult and tasting it difficult. Then when we sat down, she poured the next tasting ..... INTO THE SAME GLASS. Okay. That mixes you know but fine, save washing dishes... And what made it more odder was that each consecutive glass she poured was less and less. The last glass was literally laughable. As if someone left that behind when they were finished with their wine- thats how much she poured. I should have said something but I was a bit in shock. The couple near us had a real flight - On a wood board and full glasses but they had the cider so maybe that is why they had more. The taste of the wine was not to my liking and my bf felt the same. So why the 4 stars and why would I go back? great scenery and porch overlooking the field friendly staff - though the service was a bit odd. I would give them another chance with the wine and cider if I was in the area.... But what took them to a 4 was that they served not just the usual wine and cheese tasting but a meal. A DEEEELICOUS MEAL I definitely would be back for their 5 star pizza!!!Wholly molly! Perfect, from a stone oven, crust was amazing even if I think it was a whole wheat type but chewy and crunchy at the same time, thin crust yet filling. Toppings were simple yet went well together and just the right amount of sauce and cheese. I am not sure if it was because we were hungry, but man, their pizza is amaze! And we make our own pizza from scratch so we are pretty darn picky about our pizza ! If you are wine tasting in the area ........ GO FOR THE PIZZA!

We had the pear, chutney, grilled cheese sandwich, which was freshly prepared and quite delicious. I enjoyed that again with a salad with dressing on the side. I haven't had a grilled cheese in a while, and this was a great lunch option. I would highly recommend stopping by to enjoy the beautiful space, some lawn games, a wine flight, or some lunch.

We had a tasting flight of Sauv Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Riesling and Call me a cab. Each wine lacked much complexity and had a watery element. The whites were pleasant on a warm day but didn't seem to have much of the traditional characteristics of a Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio. Call me a Cab has a great name but I couldn't finish the sample. Wife ordered a glass of Pink Bubbles that was the best of the wines tasted. We did buy a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. Usually I buy a bottle or two from each vineyard we visit both to support their efforts and to take a second taste while not overlooking vines. Food wise we kept it simple and shared a Canadian Flatbread with mozzarella cheese, crispy bacon, pepperoni, and mushrooms. Hit the spot. Ridge Road Winery is well worth a visit if in the area. This would also be a nice spot to hold a private event.

They have a very nice outdoor space where you can chill and have a glass of wine and some nibbles. The couple next to us had their dogs, so of course I was all over that. What I really really really wanted was a couple of their frisky, beaver, wine, glasses, which unfortunately weren't available at the time. The wine was surprisingly good; we weren't sure what to expect from the region, but it was great! I personally enjoyed the Cabernet Sauvignon, Rose Bubbly and the Chardonnay the most. The technique and style is true to the old continent and results in some top notch results. We had some food from David's food truck; that too was great! The flatbread/stone bread were tasty! We enjoyed the live music, amazing views and great wine on the patio and had a fantastic afternoon. Highly recommended!
