They also serve light lunches, but I came here for the sweets. They have a cute, covered patio where you can enjoy your food. However, during my visit, I saw lotsa locals swing by to grab takeout! It's not cheap (cake slices ~$6), but the Urban Slice that I had was FRESH, not too sweet! I would've loved to have picked up more items, but I just came from the farmer's market with a pack of butter tarts, so anything else would've been OTT. Cute place with quality baked goods!

I can sum up our experience in four words: Not worth the money My beef tenderloin, though cooked to my liking, was gristly, not something I would expect at $72. However, what irked us most is the petty nickeling and dimeing. You have to pay for bread ($19). In most upscale restaurants like the Olde Schoolhouse in Brantford, bread is complimentary. Secondly, main courses come with only ONE side. if you want potato AND a vegetable you pay an extra $5. For me, the final straw came when I was asked if I wanted mushrooms with my beef. There was no mention by the waitperson of an extra cost. I assumed mushrooms came as an option on the plate, like gravy. No, an additional $12 was added to the bill. We have learned our lesson. The prices at David's are frankly extortionist which the beautiful views of the lake do not ameliorate. In future, if we want an upscale dining experience, we are going to the Olde Schoolhouse in Brantford which provides much better value for money.

There's a seating area and some items you can purchase near the back. My boyfriend ordered an Americano (of course), and for me, a latte. The Americano came out quite hot so it took him a while to finish it but he said it was good. My latte was creamy and delicious. I wish there was a bit more in the cup and a touch warmer but either way, I was very pleased. They use beans that are roasted locally which is a nice plus! It's a cute spot to visit with a friend or quietly sit and contemplate life while looking out the front window. Get on board and go!
