The pizza was good and that's pretty much where they get one star... not the best pizza I've ever had but it was fair. The customer service though is some of the worst I've ever received. We ordered 2 pizzas and a order of wings. My ordered arrived via delivery and not only did the delivery guy not even get out of his van but he was missing my wings. We were at a brewery so no other options to eat. So then I was left with the issue of not enough food to feed my family. Good customer service would have called to see if i would like to replace with a third pizza instead so i had enough. Then when i tried to contact them they were not able to deliver a third pizza or refund my wings and i would need to talk to a manager. I called 3 more times that week to speak to a manager that was never there. Left multiple messages and never was called back. Finally I sent a Facebook message and after back and forth for over a week and having to prove my order to them they refunded me for the wings.. just the wings... not even the tax, no part of the delivery fee or anything additional. (Later when i mentioned the tax they sent me an extra dollar, haha) They did offer me $5 off my next order but I won't be using that, i won't be back! Very pleased with this place. Decided to give it a try after seeing the signs saying it had just opened. Service was very friendly, and was greeted on my entry and exit. Try the crab pizza, the seafood sauce goes well with their cheese blend. They also have lots of toppings and sauces you can finish your pizza with, so lots of flavor combinations. Pizzas are for one person and they are a pretty decent size for the price you're paying. Will definitely be coming back to try another specialty pizza! read more

Walked in and realized they don't take cash!! Instant bummer, so after going all the way 7-eleven (only a few stores away tbh) to add cash to a card, I walk back down to the store. I ordered a create your own and a signature pizza, the guy taking my order walks away before I could tell him the topping on my create your own and goes to the other end of the store to pass out food, then a female (manager) comes and pulls a long ass row of uber eat, DoorDash, and mobile orders from the register, and tells me I have to wait 45 minutes to an hour because there is about 30 orders ahead of me!!! The service was very good, but the product is lacking. I had a plain jane pizza, and make your own with Italian sausage, olives and spinach. There was an over abundance of cheese so that when it was cold there was a half inch of cheese. There were 3 pieces of sausage per slice, enough to know it was there, but not enough to taste it. They are clearly rationing toppings. We also had the buffalo wings. I'm not sure how they can be both soggy and fatty, but yuck. They make them then pile them in a container, since they are not fresh they sit there steam and get soggy. Yup answered my own question. There is room for Improvement. Also consider wearing masks over your nose and not just over the mouth. There is a fair amount of waste I saw a worker throw an uncooked pizza in the trash, and there is priority given to making free pizzas for family members with an abundance of toppings than customers who are paying. New pizza place. I have been here three times already and I have had good pies. I have tried their veggie, the plain Jane, and my go-to (black olives, mushrooms and onions). All have been fine. I will admit that my favorite pizza place was the Original Ledo's, but now that both brothers have retired I am looking about for other places. (The franchise Ledo's is not the same, especially with its prefrozen crust.) Burnbox is not a replacement of a very unique pizza pie, but a good neighborhood pizza joint to have around and it is tasty. Burnbox makes their own fresh crust, and the pizza is made to order in front of you (or you can use the App). They have several options, even with cheese, so you can fully customize your order. The pies are about 11" (6 slices), so it's enough to split or not. The leftovers, especially the plain Jane, was a nice cold pizza meal the next day. Since this place is pretty easy for me to get to regularly, I will be stopping by every month or so for a pizza fix. read more

The overall experience was mediocre. Customer service is seriously lacking. We ordered our pizzas online 20 mins before going to the restaurant, however our pizzas were not made until 10 mins after arriving for pick up. The pizza....the dough was soft in the middle but burnt around the crust. I know with brick oven pizzas the crust is often charred but it's usually crispy and done in the middle as well. I was looking to order a pizza but I didn't want a chain type pizza like papa John's or domino's. I wanted a better more authentic option and boy did I find exactly what I was looking for. When I went to the store to pick up the pizza one of the workers up front greeted me. I told her I was picking up a online order. She directed me over to another worker by the cash register and said he would be able to help me out, he was currently with another customer but once he finished up he then acted like I was invisible and didn't say anything to me. I thought ok well once he sticks the pizza he's working on into the oven he'll help me out but unfortunately that never happened he still acted like I wasn't even there. Fortunately another employee saw that I hadn't gotten my pizza yet and came over and handed me my food. Over all the pizza was really good! The service was a little half ass. My husband and I saw a flyer in the mail for this place. We thought it was great seeing a black owned pizza place that specialized in what we THOUGHT were artisanal handcrafted brick oven pizzas. I am sorely disappointed! The tiny 11" pizzas were lightweight. The toppings were spare, they didn't even reach the end of the pizza to the crust. The "fresh" garlic is actually minced garlic from a jar... Luckily we had mozzarella already in the refrigerator! We had to add our own mozzarella, shredded parmesan, and crushed tomatoes for the sauce along with garlic powder, etc. We could've stayed home and made our own pizza. I HOPE you read this review. My first time visiting this location and burn box in general. Staff seemed a bit unorganized there was a pretty long wait before my order was started even though I was second in line. Menu boasts plenty options including vegan/vegetarian options and gluten free crust. I got the regular crust with vegan cheese, spicy sauce, vegan sausage, spinach, green peppers, red peppers, mushrooms, olives, onions, crab meat topped with hot honey and bbq sauce. The pizza could've been a bit hotter out of the oven but the pizza was delicious! I really enjoyed the crab meat! I also had the wine sangria which was very good as well! Extremely Unprofessional! We ordered online and when we went to pick it up around 7:30pm we were greeted my a man with his nose not covered by his mask (and he was preparing food). I ordered a sangria slushie and although the machine looked almost empty the cashier ensured me there was enough to fill the order. We waited about 10 min for the slushie to very slowly drip out of the machine. As it was dripping out the 4 employees started to cheer that they will all be leaving at 10:30pm that night. The man who had his nose out of his mask the entire time pulled his mask down exposing his mouth to scream and cheer with the others. The cashier that was filling my drink gave me a cup that was 3/4 full and told me that's all she can fill...after paying $9.99 for it. I told her I paid for an entire cup and asked if she can give a partial refund. She walked away without saying anything looking annoyed and brought out more mix for the machine. This restaurant is so yummy & I wish we had this option back home in Cincinnati. It's going to be amazing and unstoppable once they have the whole machine going (they recently opened and are still working through the set up - so ignore reviews that are overly critical- I give this team props!). We had super gracious hosts welcome us. They walked us through the ordering process (super easy) and did everything they could to meet our needs. The pizza was truly exceptional and the options of sauces and toppings are fabulous - I could eat here 10x and never repeat the same combo. So many customization options! They also have cauliflower crust (didn't try it so can't rate it). It is dine in, but it's a bit limited on seating, right now. We managed just fine sitting side-by-side at the booths. They will have fountain drinks soon, but for now they have bottled water, teas, etc. (also, a sangria slushy!!). Try it...you won't regret it!! read more

I ordered pizza on Saturday night 4/22@8:15p. I had to wait over 20 minutes to place my order. and then wait while the guy multi-task. No the line was not long. Only one person ahead of me. Finally after I ordered and waited to complete the order, I waited an hour for my 2 pizzas unreal. I witnessed a group of 4 come in after me and place an order and they miraculously got their order before mine. Left to get gas came back and still no pizza. The guy finally said one pizza is ready and the other is in the oven. After waiting another 10 minutes, the guy ask what is my order. The pizzas in the oven was not the 2nd pizza I ordered. The 2nd pizza was in the warmer. That was a wasted time. Finally when I got both pizzas home, they had to go back in the oven because they were room temperature. It was an horrific experience. The customer service is awful. I watched and listened to the many complaint about wrong orders and wait times. The customer service and preparation process need a serious revamp. I tried the traditional crust and enjoyed it but I was really excited by the variety of toppings and crusts. It even tasted great the next day warmed in my air fryer. Someone mentioned this new place on our neighborhood app but also mentioned the line outside, so I thought 3:45pm on Saturday would be a good slow time to check it out. There was only one customer ahead of me and a few more came in behind me. The pizza was great! I got a BBQ chicken pizza and a vegetable pizza. They only have one size. I promised Brian I would not post a review but sorry not sorry. Brian and the burn box crew go above and beyond to ensure you walk out with a smile. They had an event today Vote Mayo for Sherif...where Mayo was buying everyone pizza. So naturally the lines were long and orders got a little backed up. I bought my pizzas online and knew nothing about the event. My order wasn't ready when I arrived, which has never happened. Then they ran out of an ingredient I wanted on my pizza. The girls worked to substitute my meat but I no longer wanted that pizza, so that delayed the order further as they had to make another pizza. Brian stepped in an apologized as he held up my order because it was made incorrectly. Then he said my next pizza was on him As well as made me laugh about the situation. I am big on customer servic and I would recommend Burn Box even if you have to wait. The pizzas are good and made to order. Fast good made with care and purpose and they ensure the customer gets what they paid for. Did I mention they are supporting the community by throwing the event.
