This store is a mess! Theres are racks and racks of unorganized clothes. The shoes are not in size order, just randomly placed wherever. Random security all over the store standing, which I understand people steal now but it was excessive and made me a paying customer annoyed. Nothing was in order, there are staff all around just standing. I only came here because its close to my home and had such a positive shopping experience in the White Plains store I grew a love for the store and was excited to see what they had but man oh man was I disappointed. Omg I was in line for about 45 minutes. It seem that they had cashiers but there were alot of customers. There was no social distancing at all. Some people tried but others are not paying attention to what they are doing. Also, one of their employees thought he was being cute and he sees that he can't get through but he does go by. I don't know if he was trying to steal my bag or my cane. But if he had broke my cane he would be replacing it. And pressing charges for attempted burgury. He f F ad on a name tag so I assume he works there or he is the worst loss protection worker there is. I usually go to the one in white plains but this one had a better selection of jacket for winter. Would I go there again. Not as long as covid is around. Cashier was nice. The store has everything you need. The sales associates, cashiers, managers and supervisors are ready willing and able. The problem are the hundreds that come in to buy and don't place things back where they belong. Instead they want a personal shopping experience so they throw things over the racks, on the floor, hide food in shoes and leave carts filled with merchandise in elevators or wherever they can find a spot. Old clothing. Poor quality . The clearance section of shoes are shoes that look like they were worn and returned. The fitting rooms aren't clean or organized. The pants sizes for men are confusing and not in order. The jeans are old.The lines are too long and slow. Year after year the same clothes are still lingering around. Yes, Burlington Coat Factory...The place itself has potential. The jackets that they sell aren't bad at all. In fact, they have a huge selection at decent prices. My problem is...the place is a dump. There is crap all over the place. It's like the store manager could give a flying f*ck what the place looks like. I've felt better walking into Aldi's, and that's a dump in it's own right. Burlington Coat Factory is my go-to place for winter coats and stylish shoes for great prices. However, the employees could use more effective training and the store itself is in need of more employees! The lines are always long, but honestly I wait them out every time because I never leave empty-handed and find pieces for my wardrobe that I'd never get rid of. Yes the store appearance is messy but not to the point where it would make it impossible to navigate. I also wouldn't drive a luxury car into that parking lot. read more

I have no idea what these people are talking about. Yes the store is a bit disheveled but the savings are THERE you have to go through the racks and know that things are misplaced and sometimes torn usually by other customers. In my point of view the savings outweigh the chaos. I just finished getting several active wear pieces for the entire summer. Nike top usually $40 i got for $15 or my Addidas jogging shorts reg price $40 got for $24. and most of my stylish workout tights were about $9. YOU CANT beat that!! I would easily spent $300 in any other athletic store I walked out with my entire summer workout wear for $125. Know what your looking for and the prices and go focused. Disrespectful employees. They don't coordinate with each other well. They don't know how to speak to their customers either. I was informed that I could pay for my items in the layaway register by one employee. After ten min of waiting on the line the cashier started yelling at everyone in the line that she is the only one working and that we need to leave. I proceeded to tell her that another employee misinformed us and she just says "bye" in a nasty way. These employees need retraining on how they talk to each other and their customers. read more

LAYAWAY HORROR Burlington Coat Factory STORE #363 YONKERS NY I must say I thought I was taking it personal when they kept loosing my layaway I thought they just didn't like me but when the layaway was done under a different name and they lost the layaway with no care in the world but to tell you we will refund your money like that was going to make you feel better on how they handle the items you took almost 2 hrs in the store to look for that you really wanted to have. The layaway was done two weeks ago and all the manager [Vivian] cared about was refunding the money but not even to bother to really look for my layaway. I'm very upset because this is the damn fifth time doing it to me and something has to be done about it because its like the employees are wasting people time thinking you have your items to pick up to get nothing but a refund in return. I'm very dissatisfied with the layaway system they have in this store and I only come to this store because they have very nice clothes for my size and household goods but it looks like my relationship with this store will have to stop. IF I don't have money on me to shop can't go in the store because the layaway sucks for real. And I only do a layaway for 2 weeks so imagine I would of waited 60 days to receive nothing but a refund because they lost my layaway this just don't make any sense and I think the employees are stealing the layaways and the mangers don't have a care in the world then to tell you I will give you a refund and 15% off your next purchase really I want the stuff I picked out and that was put on layaway because you can't give me 15% off of that because you don't have the item no more in store. I had to pick up a few baby items for a family friend's baby's birthday, and I had a mixed bag of an experience. The woman at the layaway counter downstairs was dismissive and unhelpful and acted as though I was holding up her line of two people to ask a simple sizing question. The young man she called over, however, Christian, I believe it was, was very helpful despite being unable to find what I was looking for. He was gracious and apologetic and I ended up finding something else instead. I also noticed some sort of supervisor or shift lead reprimanding a stock boy for something, in earshot. This is not appropriate conduct for a supervisor. These types of coachings need to take place offstage and away from customers. Onto upstairs, where I had the pleasure of meeting Maggie, or Margaret as she is formally known. She was very energetic and helpful in my final decision of which gift to get. We enjoyed a very nice conversation and found we had lots in common. I almost never take the time to fill out the little receipt survey since I have this wonderful platform at my disposal, and they usually go right in the trash. But on this particular instance, I made sure to fill it out and give her great marks. One thing I think could use a refresher is the pitch on the store credit card. Certainly the last thing I need in my life is another one of these damned things, and when I was told I could save 10% on my purchase today, I said of course. Granted, as an adult with retail experience, I should have guessed as much was afoot, but with so many stores like Stein Mart, Dick's, FYE, etc. etc. offering savings on enrollment I figured it was some sort of rewards card. After she went through the whole application process only to yield a denial and a 5-point hit on my credit, I sort of wished I had been more alert and hadn't wasted the time, but she still provided excellent customer service and while she swore she said "credit card", I probably didn't hear. I do hope that my good feedback is passed along though, because I would definitely say she's one of the friendliest people I've met in retail in a very long time and in speaking with her about her personal life I see that she has a good heart and a genuine love for people, which I know goes oft unappreciated. I am just throughly disappointed with this store, and this is coming from a girl who shops at goodwill.... This is one of those stores where you walk in and get so excited from seeing such a large collection, but then closer inspection you realize how awful everything is and wind up walking out empty handed. The racks were organized terribly, and I was coming in 10 minutes after opening, so you can't even blame that on customers. Clothing marked one size when they're another and placed in the wrong sections. Literally found a pair of jeans with the crotch ripped out and another pair with the whole back pocket falling off. No, they weren't in clearance, they were among the rest of the clothes at a price of 30-40 dollars... Go to the jewelry section and every pair of earrings is missing it's match. Men's section seems decent and the shoes and handbags are okay, but overpriced. The pricing is very inconsistent here, some things are way overpriced and some are decent price. I walked out with nothing despite trying on 10 items, shoes and browsing the bags and jewelry. Bummer. read more

this was my go to, coat and jacket shop when it was located further down on central ave in scarsdale( nice memories).now for the past 10 years or so its now located still on central ave but in yonkers. place is big likr the old spot, and racks of coats and jackets for all sizes and gender. something that i never understood is why b. c .f does not emphasize other types of clothing and shoes , a lot of folks assume they just carry coats and jackets. the racks of clothing had too many items in the wrong place, and i lost count of the coats and other types of clothing kissing the floor. as for the workers really did not see any around if you dont count the cashiers. nice pants and shirt selection with prices as good as walmart and targets. decent shoes an sneakers selection. good deals on acessories, like socks, nightwear ,underwear, childrens clothing and home items and other useful stuff. my biggest gripe is the store is messy and no one seems to care here.the sale prices are the reason i shop here, i got two nice winter jackets, a pair of pajamas ,a robe and slippers and a college football hoodie for less then 150 bucks. the cashier was nice enough , and i was on my way out. i hope management can get it together and make changes so shopping here will be a pleasant experience . p.s. to the worker who walked by the coat on the dirty floor, please bend over and pick it up, dont be a lazy slob. thank you see you soon. read more
