This is the only place I go to shop for clothes. Its similar to TJ Maxx, Marshals etc, but they have a much bigger variety and the selection of clothes isn't so tacky and out dated as some of the above mentioned stores. The store is well kept, lines move quickly and prices are definitely a bargain. Only down side, the store is located below the surface so be prepared to not have a working cell phone. Prices are really low, but lots of stuff is unorganized. You'll always find Medium clothing in Large, and vice versa. I'm also disappointed they get rid of most of their coats January 1st. They think January is no longer cold, when it's the month with the most rain. The name says 'Coat Factory' and I only found 4 coats my size on the rack January 16th. You also lose cell phone signal because this is one of the very few places that is literally underground. You take an escalator down. I am only the Dutchess because I bought something there, checked in, and within a month, returned it, and checked in. This place is GHETTO. Everyone going in smokes, even around their children, and inside, it's like a warehouse of ghetto that makes Ross look like Macy's. Went to look for maternity clothes but all they had was 2-3 small racks with stuff that didn't fit or was so ugly it was painful to look at. I give it two stars because, well, no one was arguing in the aisles or shooting up, and the service was fine. read more

My friend recommended me to check out this place as I was looking for a jacket and a coat for my upcoming trip to NYC. She did warn me ahead that this place isn't quite of easy shopping/ easy to the eye kind of a place, though it is totally worth the... huffs and puffs let's just say... So yes, the first impression upon entering is "HOLLY SHMOLLY WTF!!!".. The place is huge! Really really friggin big space with stuff. lots and lots of stuff. I mean, they sell home decorations, hand bags, accessories, perfumes... All kinds of clothing.. And finally - Coats!! Now I must admit, the place is a friggin mess... BUT, my friend was right. It was totally worth it. Over here you WILL find Steve Madden, Guess, London Fog and all sort of other fancy shmancy designer gear.. The price is incredible. I got a designer rain coat ( *sigh* sorry, I am super lame, I forgot the name...What a BAD Yelper, ehh?) AND and amazing and gorgeous Steve Madden wool coat.... those 2 for $150!!! NICE!!! At a 2nd stop round Burlington I picked up (more like snatched up) a pair of sexy high heel by Steve Madden (to add to the collection lol) FOR $20.00!!! So ladies and gents, sleeves up, gear up and shop hard, this place has some serious gems and I highly recommend. This review is for the tailor. After taking numerous garments to him and referring him to many people, he decided to act stupid with me. My husband & I were picking up a pair of pants that had been hemmed. As my husband went into the dressing room, the tailor asked for my receipt as he usually does. As I was handing him the receipt, he tried to hug and kiss me. As I pushed him off, he said "I love you." I walked away and stood away from his area to wait for my husband. The reason BCF gets 1 star is because I found a dog sweater for my giant husky, and only for $5.99! BCF was the only place that sold XXL dog sweaters that Petsmart or Petco didn't even have. Great place to buy suits for cheap!! I bought a suit with two ties and two dress shirts for $200. This includes the $18 for tailoring. This place looks a little bit like a war zone. Clothes are everywhere. Children running around crying. However amidst the chaotic harmony lies a great deal somewhere. Given that I am entering the job market (if it still exists) I decided I needed a suit. The tailor is amazing. He is incredibly patient and has great expertise in tailoring and suits. I told him I needed a suit. Within 15 minutes he found me my perfect suit, took my measurements, and told me that I could pick up the suit on Wednesday. It could of been done the day off, but given the amount of work he had to do on other orders, I decided that Wednesday would be a good day to pick it up. Lines are always long!!! There seems to be always a problem with the lines that prevent it from moving. I feel this is a common theme within this shopping complex. Including the Wal-Mart. Lines never move, credit cards machine never work, register keys are needed, and managers are always on break. Minus One Star. Other than that this place is great. I was just in this store in search of a winter scarf. I was overwhelmed by the utter disarray of this place. If a tornado had blown through it could not have made the place look any worse. In fact, a storm might have actually improved the general organization of this establishment. Apparel strewn all over the place, falling off hangers, pulled inside out, disorganized and messy. A coat I thought I might at least like to try on had a sneaker imprint on it from where it had previously been stepped on. Yes, I know...stores get busy. And way too many customers seem to have no regard for the inventory that paw through - which belongs not to them but to the store. So it is tossed and mishandled egregiously. But some of what ails this place could have been remedied if a few of the workers were assigned the duty of maintaining at least a little order during what I am certain was a busy Saturday. Worse? They did not even have a single scarf in stock! Everyday we read about retailers going out of business. This is one reason why. Who on earth would spend money on merchandise so shabbily treated at a brick-and-mortar store in such disarray that shopping there is about the same activity as rummaging through boxes at a yard sale? Why when we can get what we want online with less hassle and a greater assurance of a neat, organized experience? I just bought a terrific scarf off Amazon. This place is just "okay." I like some of things they offer, but I'm not a fan of having to sift through row after row of things on hangers......I like them broken up into smaller, circular racks. Okay, I'm weird, but for some reason, it makes a difference to me. I like their coat selection (when in season), the clothes I don't like as much. I do like their interior design items, and the pricing is decent enough. I won't come near this place at Christmas time...... too much of a zoo. Well, now you know that I am new to the LA area. We had Burlington Coat Factories in the San Francisco Bay but I never had visited. I went in to find some items and soon found my arms a little full, with no basket. Ellen who is on floor staff found me and went all the way to the front of the store to bring me a cart. I thought it may be difficult for her to find me as I was wandering in Linens to pick up items for my new place, but lo and behold Ellen was there, pleasant as could be. I really liked the way the store seemed attended by the staff, and clean. It had what I needed with great prices too. The variety was pretty good. I had been wanting to check this place out forever. Today I finally got a chance, and I wish I hadn't! I arrived around 8:30 pm and the lot was practically empty. I walk in, and have to go downstairs, as the the store is in the basement...umm ok. Shady? yes, but not enough to keep me from going further. This is what I found: Pro's: -fashion jewelry: Its right at the entrance and there is a lot of variety. it is the only thing I found to not be utterly outdated. The prices were decent as well. Con's: -It is a MESS. The shoes were all in the wrong boxes, most of them weren't the size stated on the rack, there was purses all over the floor, clothes on the floor... my goodness, seriously a mess. -outdated merchandise -overpriced men's section -shoes look used/dirty -understaffed Also this doesn't really qualify as a con, but at 9 they turned off half of the lights. That is literally the most unprofessional thing I have ever seen. I understand the employees want to go home, but if the store is open until 9:30, then it should remain FULLY operational until 9:30. This place offers substantial savings on plenty of Premium Brand Dress Pants, Dress Shirts, and Jackets, but not nearly enough to justify the frustration of shopping here!!! First of all, this place never uses the AC and it Hotter than Hell Down Here!!! I mean come on, Fans, Really??? As many people and screaming children running around here, the least you can do is have a functioning Air Conditioner... I do realize this place is huge and may be quite costly to keep cool during the Extreme Heat, but it is quite disgusting to see so many sweaty dirty people in one store. Then the organization of just about everything is so out of place it's like an Easter Hunt for the size you are looking for. The fitting room is covered in discarded clothing from other shoppers who are too lazy to hang the stuff they don't want on a rack 5 feet from the fitting rooms. People literally just throw things on the floor in the fitting rooms and apparently the employees have no desire to pick anything up and keep it maintained. The lines are horrendous and the cashiers behave like DMV employees!!! This place is truly a disgrace and should really re-evaluate managing staff at this location. The Burlington in Burbank is 10 times more organized and I always seem to find great buys there. Shoppers Beware!!! Skip this place at all cost, unless you are desperate, broke, and have one of those water bottles with the little fans they sell at theme parks to keep yourself cool. Lol read more

This store is so disorganized and dirty. They also have allot of damaged, discolored and mislabeled clothing on the shelves. I have gone here 3 times over the last 4 months and I have seen the same sun damaged dress shirts on the shelf every time. I did find a nice Billy London coat today for my partner that was only $60. This is also why it got three stars. Lol The bathrooms are beyond bad. Like if you have to go just walk to Ralph's or Walmart. It's not worth risking you life for. Went today, and dropped 100 bucks in 20 mins. They have a nice selection of holiday outfits, and the store was nice and organized this time. I did get there right when they opened though. Tons of coats and boots right now as well. I had a great clerk and check out named Josephine. She was smiling, talkative and super friendly. Being in sales myself, I appreciate this a lot. Honestly, this place is gross. It's dirty. It was just completely remodeled and was rather nice when completed. It only took a few weeks to become complete chaos, with alarms going off every 15 seconds, random kids screaming at the top of their lungs, seemingly no parents. Merchandise is all over the place, literally anything goes & what's the price of an item? Your guess is as good as mine. Then once you're ready to check out, there's a line one mile long with two cashiers. Spare yourself the anxiety- Nordstrom's rack is 5 min away and comparable in pricing. read more

The cashier Kennary, asian lady probably vietnameae does not know how to do her job. I don't know why she works there. She scanned my items so many times and I thought I was getting a bargain and she scanned the other tags and said no they are different prices. To be honest I have never ever had this problem with any other cashier but Kennary did the unexpected. I was highly disappointed. She acts like by committing these actions that it will come out of her paycheck or shes gonna get a raise or a promotion. I used to work in retail ages ago. I'm so surprised about this Burlington! The last time I was here was 4 years ago. Back then, the store is always a mess especially in the Home and Shoes areas. I see that the store was remodeled and they have a new manager running those areas according to a couple of team members. I love the new layout, easy to shop and great prices. I came here to check out some toss pillows and ended up buying 2 loads of shopping carts with the help of a Manager. She was so friendly and knowledgable and even called another store to see if they have another drape in stock. This lady is an asset to this company and should be recognized! read more

Today, I was not thrilled with the customers service. We spent over $150 and when asked for help to carry out large box to our car, they just told me that there was no one that can help me and that's it. I was disappointed :( Well... This is my all-time favorite retail store that is affordable next to the Nordstrom rack. Do you have a huge and wide selection of all the basic clothes! The deals are killer always find great pants or Nice polo button up shirts. The only downside is that the crowd is sometimes rough on the edges but other than that this is a great clean place to come for last-minute shopping. read more

This is the best Burlington out of all the ones I've been too (which is pretty much every one from here to Orange County). It's huge, they pretty much have everything you need...you need a suit for a kid? they got 'em..you need some Nikes? they've got 'em (unless I get there first, ha). My favorite area is the pet supplies, which used to be a lot bigger, and had lotsa toys/fancy dog dress (#crazydoglady), but it's closer to the holidays now, so there's not as much left (I still regret not buying a fancy lace dog party dress..in 2017, lol). The location is great to, because you can run all your errands in the same shopping center afterwards (Home Depot/Target/Walmart/Trader Joe's/etc.). read more

If you expect to find anything of quality... Forget about it. Not going to find it. The store is always a mess and unkempt. What happened to this company? In the past, this is where I went to get a decent suit for a good price. Over the past few years, I have put on enough weight that my poor tailor ran out of material to let out on all my suits, so I went back to ol' faithful. With my dimensions being so different, I needed to get properly measured, but I couldn't find anyone in the suit area except customers. They were just letting themselves into the dressing rooms and tossing the rejects any place they pleased, because there was not an employee in sight. My wife did find a nice purse, but that just meant I had to wait in the long line and still have to find another place to get measured and have a suit tailored. I was also surprised to no longer see row upon row of coats and jackets like they used to have. Perhaps a company name change (and a new business model) would serve them well. read more

The back story here is Allegiant Air line destroyed one of my very best Suit Cases. After some negotiations, they did offer a 90.00 reimbursement. That didn't quite cover the cost, but the case was about 12 years old, though very dependable, that is until Allegiant got hold of it. We took the money and went off to Burlington Coat Factory to find a replacement for the damaged suitcase. After looking at the many selections, I found one in a price range that I was willing to pay and come out with a bit of $$ left to buy some other travel accessories. Most of the luggage had two prices on it. One was considered the "original" price and the lesser the discount or sale price. I found a suit case for about 39.99 plus tax. And the "original" price was 59.99, just above on the sale price tag. Well, when we took the telescoping handle out of it's concealed compartment, so we could wheel it up to the front register; we found another price under the handle for 99.99 dollars. Now, according to what we thought, the Lowest sticker price would be the price we would pay. That was not what happened. Once at the register, we began paying for the smaller items first. When it came time to ring up the suit case it rang up at 79.99 dollars. Ok, will the real price please step forward. The polite register attendant was not sure what to do too. We discussed the confusion, but were getting no where. It was clear that the tags on the case were all place by an associate and had not been tampered with. Miss Mrudula was very understanding, but could not make the decision as to what to do. We finally asked to see a Manager Mr. Oscar; After about 10 minutes he came to assist us on this confusion. As Miss Mrudula explained the situation, then we explained our confusion, but wished a fair conclusion. Mr. Oscar examined the issue of the peek-a-boo, hidden 99.99 sticker, then examined the tag, which had the other two prices on it, and realized that only a sales associate could have attached the 39.99 tag to the outer handle of the case. Mr Oscar then made the decision to allow us to purchase the case for the lowest price attached to the case. It didn't take long and without ever getting upset or arguing, the matter was resolved in a friendly and professional manor. Though I would have continued to purchase the other items, I am not sure I would have purchased the case for 79.99 or more. That said, It was a nice gesture by both the Cashier and the Manager. Due to this matter being resolved in a kind and courteous manor I will return and do more business with this store. read more

Just had my first experience with this wonderful store. Me and a friend spent a good portion of the day there. I walked out, spending just about $70.00 and was able to get a pair of really cute heels, 2 shirts, a skirt, a dress, and some sunglasses. Pretty okay store. The quality of things are decent and I've gotten a few things in here that have worked out well. Downsides are that certain areas are neglected and everything is on the floor, and specifically by socks and underwear, especially if its clearance, it looks like a swap meet with mixed up things and at times there will be a bunch of people huddled around a barrel of crap digging and tossing things around because it's poorly organized. It's a nice buy for name brands. You see how much a normal retailer would charge e.g. A jacket is $70.00. Normal price tag. Then boom Burlington tag would be $19.99, just an example. The first time i was here, i was blown away with the savings and all the merchandise. This place looks like some old fallout shelter turned into a massive retailer.
