It is a busier location and parking and pedestrians walking, it gets a bit crazy and hectic... the parking for curbside is past the front entrance and there is quite a few spots available... but unless you have the app, curbside is worthless. I received an email and nowhere on the email does it allow me to choose curbside. So parked in one of the stalls and went inside to retrieve my item. It is a bit chaotic in the pickup area as there is just carts with items and things staked up in front of the register that you are suppose to receive assistance from.... however the cashier who was doing returns came over and assisted. Then the pickup orders are located in the clothing department, but otherwise it was quick as could be and efficient. Maybe Target could add a phone number for curbside or place a link in the email for those who do not have the app.

I had 2 things on my list and I suspect if I could have found an employee in the shoe department I may have walked out with both items checked off my list. I could not find a pair of shoes that fit all my criteria, size, style, color, quality, brand, and to an extent consumer reports if I haven't heard of the brand. I left shoeless unless you count the ones I walked in with. Along those lines I saw an item that wasn't on today's list because I didn't think to put it there was a little thing to transport my guitar picks. (They are custom picks I use as special souvenir business cards - not to be confused with my everyday business cards) Anyway I found a set of nail clippers in a cool keychain type setup, the the mail clipper holder would be perfect if I could get rid of the branding. There was a set that had no clippers so I figured they'd give me a huge discount. I searched for someone to help me I sound someone that didn't understand my American English and in perfect English told me so. After this happened twice I gave up and hoped my cashier spoke English and could help me out . She could and she couldn't. I'll give her credit she tried but the best she could do was knock 10% off. Since the most important part of it was missing I felt 75% off was fair. Let's just say I walked out of the store with one item checked off my list,a 2 star review. As a 70 old year main with slight mobility challenges I didn't really feel safe. the place was cluttered with boxes, merchandise and customer all tripping hazards. Blanca was working the register and she called the shoe dept to see if they could locate it; unfortunately, that person was on break. Blanca asked the manager if it was okay for her to go look for it. Blanca went above and beyond by taking it upon herself to try to find it. She also had to take the time to make a price tag for the sleepwear since it was missing. I felt bad for Blanca because I know how busy that store is. She actually thanked me for waiting. I told Blanca how much I really appreciated her taking the time to personally look for the sandal and to make the tag. That's what I call exceptional customer service! Blanca is truly an asset to the store.

My experience today at TJ Maxx in San Ysidro was unfavorable. I thought to myself, I should just stay in line since I'm already half way down. I recall seeing approximately 20 plus customers ahead of me while more were piling up behind me. It felt like 15 to 20 minutes had passed until I arrived at a register. The transaction went well and received my refund in no time. The register lines at TJ Maxx was definitely worse than Ross. They were very slow. Staff at register was friendly though. There were various registers open, of course, all busy. There was one security guard posted at the entrance area and overall store looked ok. From a quick glance at the entire store, the store did not organized or neat.

OUTLETS on the BORDER! Didn't get to visit all of the attractions/shops but it looked like a great…read moreday trip! The outlets have eateries and sizable stores. We picked up a relative at the Coffee Bean who was visiting from Mexico and it was a seamless pick-up. Parking is pricey, so I would recommend visiting some stores if you're here to meet-up with someone. Lots of folks pass through here from Mexico and vice versa.
