I have been a very regular customer and I have always been treated like a piece of u know what! Especially the cashier team has been extra rude and not very welcoming. One specific employee told me that I take to long shopping and I am always difficult and insisting that I was being dishonest. I have tried to make several returns to exchange for either the right size or something else that didn't have any defects. I would say Everytime I have checked out, I have left with me feeling embarrassed or insulted, my issues have never been resolved professionally or resolved at all and I don't feel like I am even wanted back at all. I swear, I can take a few videos without anyone knowing I am recording my shopping experience either, but I would really like to prove my accusations and make sure I have substantial proof to let you know I have been dealing with some of the rudest employees. It has made me decide to go to Ross or Marshalls from now on and I spent at least $200-$350 a month. Now add that up, somewhere around $3,600 a year on average and I was only one customer. Just imagine 10, 100 or a 1,000, that is not good business and this is why I believe that every single customer matters or you will suffer tremendous number drop in sales every year! Store manager is incapable of handling simple task and keeping the store clean & organized. If it ever looks clean and organized thats only because corporate is present at the location or will be present sometime during that week, other than that the only thing the manager is good at is sitting on her ass and eating all day expecting things to get done. Also bathrooms are NEVER closed they just don't want anyone to use them. They put "out of order" signs up on both female & male restrooms and take them down when corporate is present. Burlington needs to remove the store manager in charge of this store and replace them with someone who actually shows daily improvement of the stores production & organization. I dropped something out of my purse and the security guard comes up and kicks me out embarrasses me, and when I didn't have anything, I didn't tell me why I didn't say anything you know if that's not being discriminated against I don't know what it is. This location is a last resort.. customer service is very substandard and management is not in tuned with the flow of customers. As I stand in a line of at least 20-30 customers deep there are only 2 cashiers and people are laying purchases down and walking out! The manager finally opened a register very reluctantly! As a customer service person myself of 31years, I realize there are circumstances as to why they could be short staffed, however business is business and this location is not managed well. Always extremely slow in checking out the customers even when there's only two in the line, I've waited over 30 minutes when the person they're ringing up has under ten items. I've worked in retail before and I get lines can be constant and it takes a while, but I've seen the same employees take forever on purpose and meanwhile customers are waiting forever for something that realistically shouldn't take that long. The new Arcadia Crossing location in Phoenix is in the old Ultimate Electronics store. The new location is very impressive. The store inventory is not as heavy as the two other locations, however the store is neat and well stocked. There is something for everyone (men, women, girls, boys, toddler and infants). There is a baby depot department for the young ones. It is easy to walk around the store because the aisles are neat and organized. Dress sizes are in order to find your selection with no problems. There is plenty of cashier help to avoid the long lines. This location is smaller then AZ Mills but it is a perfect fit for the area as this area needed a department store. Price point is perfect to gather name brand shoes, clothes and other items to fit all budgets. The customer service is impressive. I was very happy with the level of customer service from the floor staff who greeted me and made me feel welcome. There is plenty of parking because this is location is near a shopping center that includes a Costco, Fry's Grocery Store, Target and Ross. read more

Cashiers are HORRIBLE , miserable and rude !! The girl at the first register , brown hair , Large Type girl , was so incredibly rude that after she took her time and hastily rang up all my items , and looking like she was ready to punch someone , she bagged it all up ever slowly and told me my total not making eye contact still and at this point not one word from her mouth , she said your total is $151.68, my first and only words were because you are so rude I am going over to target next door and giving THem this 150 dollars !!! She said ok move your cart so I can get the next customer and I looked at her and said ' no '. And my son and I left. We will certainly never shop cheap Burlington again. This Burlington won't get too many stars because of the messy organization and it needs a good cleaning. On the other hand, employees here are really helpful and nice. But someone should be putting items back where they belong and clean up messes from clothes on the floor and mishandled makeup. Every time I have gone in here, I have found at least one item that was a gem. The last time was a makeup brush case, this time I found my perfect size in Tom's slip on shoes for $17.99 (I paid $50. at another retailer). So, it's an ok store, but, clean up in every aisle! Burlington always has interesting home goods you don't see other places. Especially around the holidays. I find great deals on linens there and also lotion, soap, and body wash. Clothing can be hit or miss but you have to go in there expecting to dig a little. read more

I've worked at Burlington for a while now. Working with the best bosses ever. Tracy and Steven always make sure you feel comfortable and like we are a big family. Never had Bosses like these two ever. I would recommend anyone that wants the best job to work at this Burlington. This store got the best of everything. The co-workers are the best. I guess I'm accustomed to the very large Burlington in Vegas. This location had a very small selection of suits. Overall, the store felt very small to me. The Vegas store is at least 3 times larger than this one and I left disappointed. I was able to find a few dress shirts, but left empty handed without a suit or tie. My grandma LOVES Burlington so I popped in here to buy her a gift card and actually ended getting some other fun things for more people on my Christmas list! They have a great variety of home decor, kitchen tools and gadgets that make great stocking stuffers, in addition to dog toys and accessories. It reminds me of Ross - a place where you can score something for everyone at great deals. They have a really impressive baby section as well! Their women's clothing isn't that impressive in my opinion, but that is just my taste. If you like discounted goods, come to Burlington, there is something for everyone! This the worst Burlington, it's hardly ever busy but you can stand in line for about 15 to 30 minutes. I don't know why I keep coming back to this store. They don't greet you at the register and look at you like you're an inconvenience to them. Ervalinda was my cashier, stone faced the whole time. Only 2 registers open, but she purposely took her time in between each customer. I doubt any changes will occur, this is why I limit my spending and walk a few stores down to the Ross. This Burlington coat factory really irks me. I have come here with my boyfriend on multiple occasions to purchase lots of clothes and shoes. Their customer service here is the worst I have ever encountered. So bad that I have had to call the manager to complain. If you need to return something the "manager" Danny will pick at your item like its a piece of garbage and point out its imperfections that he assumes you caused before he will accept your return. Why not just make everything final sale instead of making a simple return something bigger than it really needs to be. I went here searching for work shirts and left with kitchen organizing accessories, a soft fleece blanket, and puppy pads instead. Sometimes I find hidden gems (winter coats, gifts, etc), while other times nothing at all. The store is VERY disorganized in all of the clothing sections. I was looking at the clearance items by the shoes and it was really messy and gross. Someone put some type of make-up in one of the purses and it was smeared everywhere. It made me wonder how often the employees scan the store to try and remove damaged items and reorganize the shelves. Though for how large of a store it is I imagine there is not enough staff to keep up with all the items. Bottom line: I do enjoy shopping here because at times I find amazing items. Lately however I feel that the store is lacking even more so in organization. The cashiers are hit or miss with bring friendly. Sometimes nice, other times blah. This is a new store in my favorite local shopping mall so I had high hopes. Annoying: The clothes racks are all over filled and hard to browse through without two free hands. I broke a few coat hangers trying to push clothes apart. The clothes selection is not really my style. I find a lot more next door at Ross. Customer service? None- not one person came up to me in the entire two hours I shopped. Fitting room experience- (Me with a cart filled with clothes)- "How many items can I bring in?" Employee- "I don't know. I think 9?" (Well could you find out?!) After trying on the first nine items and showing the fitting room employee that the rest were all bathing suits, she didn't say a word. I grabbed the handfull of bathing suits and soon discovered that the top and bottoms are connected with security tags so you can't try them on!!! What????? I was getting really frustrated because there was NO air in the fitting room and it was hot!! I tried on a few bathing suit tops with the stupid bottoms and tags hanging from them and then tried on the bottoms with the tops and tags hanging. I have NEVER experienced this nonsense in all my shopping. When I walked out of the fitting room and handed the four young employees, who were just standing there, my unwanted bathing suits, I told them I couldn't even try them on. One girl said, "You have to ask one of us for the key to take off the tags." NOW you tell me??!! Overall this was NOT a good first shopping experience. read more

I'm very dissapointed to report how unsatisfied I was with this store! With Burlington being a store that my family has shopped at for years,I grew up with my mother and grandmother taking me there as a child as well. So my expectations were high! I was excited to finally get to shop at this store as it was new to me because I just moved into the neighborhood! When I entered the store no one greeted me although there were several associates standing there, they were busy talking amongst themselves to even bother with me. So I just ignored it and continued to shop. I was shopping for my sister's bridal party, so I needed some last minute cute gifts to add to their gift bags. It took a while 15 minutes until someone finally approached me, and it didn't seem like a typical friendly"how are you doing can I help you find anything" approach. It felt more like a "I'm watching you to see if your trying to steal anything" approach. It just didn't feel warm and friendly like normal. The woman by the name of Mira (who now come to find out was a supervisor) just kept following me every isle and even into the dressing room and I over heard her say to another associate to 'keep an eye on me". That was it, I felt disrespected, uncomfortable, embarrassed and at that point I just wanted to leave! So I didn't even bother putting my basket away I was so mad, but I got my purse and left! On my way out I noticed Mira was now standing by the doors with à loss prevention person. So I stopped and commented that I was new to the area and was excited to shop there but that she made it so uncomfortable for me that i probably wouldn't return! All Mira said was "ok have a nice day!". That made me feel even worse so again unfortunately this time was a real bad experience for me and I hope they'll at least take it into consideration to not judge and treat everyone with respect! read more

Before they opened I would run to that fiasco of a Marshalls on 20th & Camelback (Parking hell!). I'm happy Burlington is in Arcadia now because they have a full stock of the different sorts of Jelly Bellys and whatever odd-sort candies and jerky I like to stuff stockings with. This year, I bought a bag of bacon jerky. It was kinda gross, but it was definitely worth trying. I also ended up with a beautiful wool coat, some dress shirts for the hubby and my dad, and a few cute knickknacks for mom. The cashier was super nice too. DISAPPOINTING RUDE AND SAD On my visit today shortly after the store opened, I found the store extremely dirty and items were opened, used and put back out for sale then called a "clearance item" I came across two exact same items with no price on either of hem so them I took them up to the checkout only to have to wait several minutes for Ashely to search her register for the brand or item which she couldn't find. THEN she called someone on the headset only for this person to confirm that she couldn't find the item. But brought up a totally different set. Finally, Ashley called this VERRRRRY FLAMBOYANT RUDE guy I believed was named Earnest (Jeff) to tell me that they were giving me a "deal" by comparing a similar product. He said "this isn't a swap meet. " Floored and disappointed, I asked how it is a "deal" if they don't know what the original price is. He said all he has to do is "damage it out send it back and get full credit from his vendors" I inquisitively asked well why wouldnt you just do that rather than putting out used missing damaged or unpriced items....to which he said that's just how it is. I asked if he would honor the 10-15% off damaged/opened items to which he said no I'll send it back to get full credit. I asked if he was willing to lose a long time consistent customer over 40 cents he shrugged his shoulders and said yes as he walked away. Since this is the company culture I , my family, company non profit or coworkers will ever patronize again. Not only this one but any Burlington Coat Factory. Disappointed and hurt!! I was just kicked out of the dressing room because it is store policy that carts are not allowed. I was shopping with my toddler and the cart contained him. The girl told me to take him out of the cart, but the doors have a high enough clearance that he can crawl under. You'd think the family dressing room would be an option, but it was locked... This is where I go to get the best deals on Men's clothes compared to anywhere else in the valley. Better then Ross, better then TJ Maxx, better then Last Chance. Hands down, you will find good men's clothing here of all sizes for a descent price, I am a big guy I wear 3x shirts, and they have a pretty good selection here, I always walk out finding what I need. I also have purchased allot of other items here that you will not find cheaper any where else period. I come here at least once a month, every time I wish I had more money to spend the deals cant be beat...and they have lay a way...Seriously Lay a Way! So cool.
