The search engine brought up this store as having the boot I was looking for and that it was in stock at this location. I could have purchased it online for in-store pick up, but I opted out of that and wanted to go inside the store to try it on. I'm glad I did because the online price for the boot was $100 with a discount. When I went inside the store to purchase it it was on sale for $40. I got a $150 pair of boots for $40 and I was stoked about that! When I went inside the store, upon entering, I was greeted by both employee and was even asked if I was finding everything OK while I was in there. This time, my experience was much better than the last.

I've come back and was quite surprised with the improved organization and customer service. Today I went in looking for a bag to use for travel. Although I didn't find what I wanted, I did find some very good buys. One of the Ross reusable bags was 50cents so I picked up 2. I finally replaced my wallet when I saw the good prices. I went to the nonperishable food aisle and picked up a bottle of coconut oil for $3 cheaper than it would have cost at the grocery store. You can find Quality spices, Asian spices, Greek style grape leaves for stuffing and herb infused olive oil. I found the employees to be courteous and helpful. One employee stopped what she was doing and walked me to the purse area when I asked where it was located, now that is going above and beyond and excellent customer service ! I think I'll be visiting Ross more often.

Came in to browse around and found something i wanted to buy. Came up to the register to pay and there was no one in line. As we came up to the register the cashier just walked away with no explanation and walks over to chat with 3 other women. And those women are just standing around chatting. So we just stood there waiting for her to come back over to ring us up. We waited about 5 min then she comes over and says just a minute before she would ring us up. Finally rang us up. And then just walked away and told me to grab my receipt out of the machine. So rude and didn't even say thank you or here's your receipt she made me grab it from the place the receipt comes out. And then walked away to go chat with the other gals again. She looked like she was being put out by having to ring us up. Will NEVER come back to this store. And to boot the racks of clothes in the store were mostly empty. The place looked a mess. We left and went over to TJ Maxx. Much cleaner store and the cashiers are so much friendlier and smile and say thank you.

Had a billing issue on a PRE-SALE order being charged to my credit card before the purchase date in order to get this item at a Huge discount price. Not a problem that they ran my credit card early BUT the problem WAS No receipt. Item was put back into stock. No record of transaction I called Penney's credit card company while in the store, being informed the sale transaction was posted 5 days earlier, and not ran as a pending presale. It costs more than a Penney to shop here, so false advertising FTW…read more This JC Penney is located as part of a huge strip-type Mall at New Braunfels between San Antonio and Austin right off of the highway on the east side of the interstate 35 so come and check it out if you're looking for a department store when you're down this way. It's not bad. But when people say Strip Mall I still think of Strippers, always have, always will. No wonder I date Barbie.
