I hate shopping and honestly rarely go to Kohl's because I think they are over priced and their women's clothes are ...just blah. That's only my opinion though ladies so don't come for me please Why I'm writing this review ~~ We only went in to grab a couple shirts for hubby ....so I said ,"Welp, I might as well go look at the shoe clearance rack ,while you painfully look for the shirts you want right??" Believe it or not , I found a pair of adidas on clearance in the youth section just under this sign that said , TAKE AN ADDITIONAL 50% OFF AT REGISTER . OF COURSE I grabbed the shoes and then hubby to go check out. When we got to the next open register ,there was Bryn with her kind smile ,... she walked us through the sign up for a Kohls card and was the most helpful, patient little GEM whom I am grateful for. Moral of the story (rant)really...... Sometimes it's the smallest things or things we think aren't that big of deal, that make someone write a positive review or makes us want to return there to shop even. So many people HATE their jobs and it shows!!!! It shows in their attitude It shows with their lack of patience It shows in their frown It shows in their huffs & puffs CUSTOMER SERVICE jobs are hard, I get that , I know from experience..... but sometimes you gotta fake it till you make it . A simple hello, how is your day .Just remember that smiles are contagious along with awesome customer service....and this sweet, older woman named Bryn reminded me of that. Thank you!!

I had an amazing experience with Penner's when I needed a suit for my upcoming wedding…read more When you first walk into Penner's you immediately get the impression of a store that knows exactly what it is doing, and trying to be. There is history all over the walls, and you can see this is a beloved family run institution. That immediately made me feel good. Everyone in the store is also extremely friendly and helpful, the service is top notch. I had signed up for an appointment for a fitting, and I had a very specific suit color in mind (dark hunter green). I knew this wasn't the most common color for a suit, and I was a little nervous because I've never been through the tailoring experience before. Matt came over and walked me through everything, he helped me pick out not only the suit that is perfect for what I was looking for but he also helped me find a shirt, tie, belt and shoes. He was with me every step of the way. My suit had to be ordered and altered since it's not a common off the rack color, the team at Penner's kept in touch with me the whole time. I never had any doubt that I was in good hands, and any questions I had were answered fully. The price for everything was also extremely fair in my opinion. I fully endorse Penner's if you're looking for suits, clothes, shoes or anything else wearable. There's a big selection, and it's not just suits they also have just about anything for men's wear. A great selection, and a family owned business. I feel very fortunate to have Penner's in town and I will be back!

To quote from menswearreviewed.com, "Brooks Brothers [has] a long standing reputation. The…read moreIvy-league affiliated brand is responsible for many a presidential outfit and is known for quality, prestige, and a top-notch customer service experience". I couldn't agree more with this line. In fact, I remember the days where if you wanted to shop Brooks Brothers ("BB"), you'd have to go to a city like San Francisco. It was always a huge deal to walk into BB while visiting San Fran...have people wait on you, a tailor's tape measure around their neck at all times. BB always meant serious clothes to my father, and I understood that quickly. Now look, I'm not saying I expect to be offered champagne or wine a la Tiffany's, but I expect way more than what was offered at this location in terms of customer service (did I tell you I went around Christmas...oh I didn't?). We walk into this large, beautiful outlet location in San Marcos on Monday (12/17) about 4:00 p.m. Not many people in the store, including customer service representatives. I think I only saw two...for a store that size heading into Christmas - are you kidding me? The store had a very "fend for yourself" to all our pre-labeled, pre-sorted sizes in the bins, atmosphere. God forbid had I been really searching for someone's time to have a suit, blazer, etc. measured and fit. When I did finally flag someone down, the questions I asked the young representative, in my opinion, were not answered in a way befitting of such a reputable, prestigious clothing company. And, as stated before, there's no way the reps would have had "the time" or the focus to really cater to a serious shopper. Ended up buying some shirts, impressed by the deal, but THIS is not befitting Brooks Brothers. Not at all the way I remember shopping at a high dollar clothing store...
