The Village mall sibling to the downtown location of Walla Walla Clothing Company, the layout here…read moreis similar for splendid upend boutique brands at similar prices. (See Downtown Review here for the 'lay of the land' information. https://www.yelp.com/biz/walla-walla-clothing-boise ) My observation here has been there is perhaps more representation at this store of some brands targeted at younger audiences, say Nic + Zoe, mixed in with the all ages transitional wear from designers like Eileen Fisher. Sizes run from 0 to 14 among brands and XS to XL. Get on their email list to learn about specials like Trunk Sales and Open Houses where discounts are offered. Or as in this Thanksgiving Weekend when they are offering discounts on spendy denim and tees as part of the Black Friday and Small Business Saturday events. At end of season sales when they are selling the stray pieces from the store, the buys can be superb. See example photo of Eileen Fischer jeans about $178 full price on sale during their summer clearance for about $40. Keep in mind, clothing is not returnable here. So be sure before you leave the store that it fits. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: The Village...the primal parking scream you hear is mine. It is what it is. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Level into and throughout the store. Plenty of room between displays. Changing rooms do not seem to have accessible minimums for grab bars etc as required by codes, but I didn't look at them closely. Sales transaction counter has no lowered to seat height space as required by laws and codes.

It was my B-day and even my husband was encouraging me! The salesperson never came out from behind the front desk area except to go to the back room for a few minutes. Other than that, I have no idea what she was doing...(maybe on line?) but I could have used some help. No one else was in the store....in December. I asked about different items, colors, if those items were available at the downtown store. Normal stuff. Her answer was polite, but she never moved. She said "everything is on the floor. I'm not sure if that comes in another color, but if it does, it will be out there". Back to her project (phone) and never moved. No intersction what-so-ever. My husband gave me the signal that it was time to go. We left. Money burning a hole in our pockets. :( Maybe the Boise store is better?

A longtime friend and I have been shopping at Sierra in The Village, Meridian, location, every 7…read moredays, together, for about six months. Here is what we both have observed. A dirty floor--stickers stuck to the floor, dust balls at the end of isles, Spring and Summer clothes still on the racks throughout the fall and late winter months, never priced to sell, clothes halfway off the hangars, on broken hangars, clothes without price tags (returned and just hung up without retagging?), clothes packed on racks so tightly you can barely get your hands between to remove to look at more closely (explains the previous?), floors do not look like they've been cleaned, let alone swept for months on end, obvious use of temporary help with low pay that frequently come and go, and slip little hints they may not be there when you come into the store, the next time, an electronic faucet in the Men's bathroom that you can never activate, no matter how hard you try (more than one?), and a Manager that waddles through the store, looking busy, and never smiles but if she does, it is "forced, feigned," indicating she is not a happy person doing the job she is hired to do. I am a retired professional. I was once the CEO of a large corporation, and have also held multiple managerial jobs. There is no real management of this Sierra store; this is obvious. Unfortunately, this mismanagement makes any store in a higher income class location (*The Village, Meridian, Idaho) look low-class. My friend and I will no longer shop there, until this obvious mismanagement is cleaned up. (*We have spent hundred of dollars there over a six month visitation period.)
