This is gotta be the worst dog park that I've ever been to for being newly remodeled. They did a horrible job left fire hydrants that don't work in the middle of a dog park for an obstacle put planner boxes for more obstacles. There's so much room for improvement for this dog park. This is sad that it is in Burlingame, which is a rich community maintenance on the park is horrible water fountain for dogs has no pressure for being brand. New controls are on the wrong side. Don't know who installed it, but it must've been a technician. Or somebody that doesn't know how to plan anything if I lived in Burlingame I wouldn't want to be part of this park. water bowls for the bottom of the park gotta be filled outside and carried in instead of putting a hose bib in so you could fill it where the water needs to come was never done in the planning when they rebuilt this park! read more

Tucked behind the baseball diamonds, the dog park in Burlingame is super long and relatively thin. Dirt and grass. People are picking up poop so there are no landmines when I visited. Everyone seemed friendly and a lot of locals but my visiting hound dog had a good time. read more

Love how big the space here is for my dog to run around but the smell here is horrible.

There has been a few improvements at this dog park since our last visit. Love their newly built sitting areas for the humans while their dogs have fun and play. Also, the nice trellis is a nice addition especially for shade during those sunny days. They have also brought in jugs of water so dog owners does not have to walk all the way to the back to get water for their dogs. They even provide dog water bowls too! Very thoughtful!! While Burlingame Dog Park is part of the city, it appears that a loving community of dog lovers also provides care and upkeep in addition to. Nice dog park next to a beautiful Bay Shore walk. I'm not sure why so many complains were written in the previous reviews, but in my opinion this place is simply great! First of all, there are two gated areas, for smaller and bigger dogs. Both areas have benches for dog owners, trash cans, and tools to pick up after your dog. The bigger dog area is featuring a doggy water fountain, plus couple of dog drinking dishes. Secondly, I really like that the main area in this park is dry with trees and bushes on the sides. There is little to no mud, plenty of space to run around and all people I've met at this part are nice, responsible owners. Finally, even though the location of this park is next to a sewer treatment plant, I haven't noticed any strong smells. It is always windy at the bay, especially in the winter, so it feels fresh an windy every day. Another great thing about this location is the beautiful shore walk along the bay. Many people are enjoying the walk and the view of the local airport. Plenty of parking next to the park too. Love this place, recommend it to you and your dog! read more

This place is a dump. I guess that's what happens when you find yourself on the East side of Burlingame. I mean, if they set up a dog park this dumpy near B'Game Ave. the Real Housewives of Burlingame would shit their leggings!!!! First of all, the entire area around here smells of decomposed bodies and yeah, I know it's directly next to a shit factory, which is problem #1. While I was walking along Bayshore Trail with my puppy, I stumbled across this dog exercise park after I witnessed some people bring their dogs into a gated area. I had to see what was going on. The location is great. It's right by a park, where there seems to be baseball games often, and hotels. It's conveniently located right off 101! And it faces the bay with tons of street parking and a public parking lot for the park. This park is okay. I've seen better parks than this. The park is relatively small... I say it's about 3/4 of a football field or maybe a whole football field. It's a sand/dirt park. So if you are expecting somewhere with grass for your dog, this isn't the park to go to. The entrance has two gates to go through, I guess this is to make sure no dog escapes, smart thinking. The dog park is separated into two sections. One small section for dogs 0-20lb and I think it is 21lb and up. There are no dog bags, so bring your own poop bags. Otherwise the place is pretty clean. I didn't see any unpicked up poo or trash lying around. You might also consider bringing your own water for your dog, as it is not filtered water or from a clean bowl. read more

There's even a separate "time-out" area for ones who may be a bit too hyper and needed to calm down a bit out of gen-pop (been watching too many shows with prisons lately). There's a doggie drinking fountain inside. Too bad my dog won't drink from it somehow. There are plenty of trash cans, though you have to supply your own bags. People's been leaving their plastic grocery bags there for sharing, but that's kind of limited now that grocery stores started charging for bags. The only complain I sort of have is that it's located right next to a sewage treatment plant, so sometimes, when wind is blowing the right (or wrong, depending how to look at it) way, it smells ... well, like a sewer. read more

This dog park is in a great location facing the Bay with plenty of street parking. There are two separate areas - for dogs less than 20lbs and those 21lbs +. I like the fact that they post the weight limits right on the gates in several locations. Other parks just put up "big" and "small" then leave the interpretation up to the users which often leads to conflict because a docile 80 lbs dog cannot go into the small dog area just because it's fat and lazy. We only used the small dog side so I don't know anything about the bigger dog area. The small dog area is the size of an empty city lot and looks about the same condition with weeds, holes, burrs and misc. trash. Our poodle was the only pooch in the park that day so I also cannot comment on regular patrons. She did run around a bit but ended up with tons of burrs in her fur. There are two benches well situated so they were shady at 11:00am when we visited. Overall, it's a convenient location and I like the definitive weight limit between the areas. I would come again if I was in the area and needed to let her run around a bit but I wouldn't make the trip across the bridge just to come here. read more

I started taking my puppy here when he was around five months old. He's almost a year old now. He loves running and playing with other dogs. Unfortunately he's been attacked on three separate occasions. This last attack resulted in open tears in his back from the other dog's teeth. The second attack resulted in tears on the underside of his body that looked infected. I had to take him to the vet and put him on antibiotics. Dog owners here are pretty attentive to their dogs for the most part. But a few of the regulars do not control or discipline their dogs. Or apologize for their dog's behavior. Everyone comments on the smell. Yeah it's bad. But what else could they do with this strip of land? The location is also convenient for thieves. My car window was recently smashed and purse was stolen. I SHOULD have taken my purse into a dog park. But I was being watched and targeted by a car parked beside mine. Here's some tips for making the most of this park: *Don't leave valuables in your car *Go early in the morning *Take bags with you *Avoid dogs who are not playful or friendly *Hold your nose. read more

This dog park is pretty easy to get to, however parking is limited. I'm not exactly a big fan of the sand/dust ground but there is plenty of room for dogs to run and play. There are also plenty of seats for owners. read more

There's nothing whatsoever wrong with this dog park. It's a large fenced in more than decent amount of space to play and run and sniff. Yeah, it's gravel, yeah you get a whiff of the water treatment plant from time to time, but it's sufficient if you're close by and want to give your dog some outdoor time. Look, I needed somewhere to take my rambunctious 50 lb. Australian cattle dog/English Pointer mix. This place fit the bill. 1 - Does the wind blow the sewer smell into the dog park? On and off. 2 - Do I wish it was all grass? Yeah, but with the drought it would be highly unlikely. 3 - Did my dog run around with other dogs and get tired? Yes and that really is what the most important purpose of a dog park is to me. The high point is that all of the people we met were friendly and not one complained about my dog getting (what some) would call aggressive when he barks to get the other dogs to chase him. read more

We like this park because it is not too far from my boyfriend's house and it's close to Burlingame so we can grab food after. It does not have grass (fake or real). Very dusty on windy days! Get ready for a dusty puppy, dusty legs and feet, and dust in your eyes on windy days. On non-windy days this park is great! The small dog area is really small and I don't really ever see anyone there. Blue likes all kinds of dogs any way! She prefers dogs her size or big dogs because she is sassy and plays a little rough. She finds friends there all the time and if she doesn't, there are plenty of used tennis balls laying around for her entertainment. There are benches and spots for shades but it depends on what time you go and on the weather. The water is at one end of the park. But people fill up big bottles and bring them in and give them to the pups. I always carry Blue's water bottle any way. The water treatment plant is right next door. Does it smell? Sometimes...but not all days. We love this park and as long as Blue is happy, I'm happy. read more

We really like this park. Location next to the bay is great for (on leash) walks and then into the fenced dog area for (off leash) play. The time-out area is good and there are even some (still surviving) bushes and shrubs to give the dogs something to crash in to. This is the worst piece of crap excuse for a dog park ever! I took my little Mya here because being 4th of July, the park across my street where I normally take her was completely packed and there was no room for her to run. Mya looooooves to run and fetch the ball, so I looked around for a dog park near home, and this came up. When we got here, I noticed that the ground was completely barren of grass, and was actually quite rocky and gravely. Now, being a relatively new doggie owner, I figured, if this was a dog park, it should be safe for a dog to run around in. WRONG. After just a couple throws of the ball, Mya's back paw was injured. The skin on the pad of her back paw was ripped. Now my poor doggie is limping around. Not ok!!! read more

There is more shade than at the 3rd Avenue park in San Mateo, but it's all dirt. Plenty of water stations and seating. The smell can be really bad depending on which way the wind is blowing. Lots of parking. read more

Several words of caution: BRING YOUR OWN POOP BAGS. There are a few grocery bags that people have donated to the park hanging on the two bulletin boards at each of the two entrances, but I would not bet on there always being some when you come here. The set up of the park is great. It's long and narrow with plenty of space for my dog to run sprints and stretch his legs. There's also LOTS of foliage: trees and bushes along the fences that the dogs can weave in and out of. There's a separate small dog area, too, and quite possibly the smallest small dog area I've ever seen, lol. The funniest and maybe most practical attribute to this park is that there's a "time out" fenced/gated area, for when dogs who've gotten too aggressive need to be separated from the pack! I've never seen the like at another dog park and commend the planners for this very practical idea. They must actually have had dogs! Oddly enough it's sandwiched in between the Burlingame Sewage Treatment Facility (you can't smell it UNLIKE at Seal Point Park across from San Mateo's sewage treatment plant) and a golf driving range and is adajacent to another park with a soccer and baseball fields. It does have nice proximity to a walking path right along the bay with views of planes taking off and landing at SFO, so after your dog has gotten his hyper energy out with other dogs at the park, you can have a nice sojourn along the bay and enjoy the beautiful place in which we live. read more
