This company is the absolute best! They took on a job at my house that over two dozen other…read morecontractors had looked at and could not figure out. My garage would flood when it rained heavily. The water was seeping/bubbling up through the concrete floor. Unfortunately,I spent a total of 20K on two other contractors before hiring Alpha. The work done by the first two contractors failed completely. When Damien from Alpha Structural initially came over, I knew I was in good hands right away. He is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and professional. I would say the same about Brian and Nadir, who were the leads on my job. Brian especially, went above and beyond. Anytime I reached out to him he responded immediately, and was on site whenever I needed him. My garage was a nightmare scenario. I contacted just about every contractor who works on this kind of thing, from LA to San Diego. Not one of them could figure it out. Not one. This went on for 2 years. Alpha Structural took on a very tough job, and did what no other company could. They completely solved my garage flooding problem with a very strategic and comprehensive plan. Do yourself a favor and use this company! Don't waste time with others. Alpha Structural won't let you down.

The estimate was astronomical and would take months to complete. I brought in Distinguished Structural Engineers to give me a second opinion. They give me a written analysis with lots of pictures pointing out some issues, but they gave us peace of mind that the structure was fundamentally sound and only needed attention in a few areas. We used one of their recommended roofers and spent a tiny fraction of the first roofer's estimate to correct the issues. I highly recommend Distinguished Structural Engineers for any work you're considering.

There was continuous and steady progress, and I usually was invited over each week to check on the progress of work. The project was well timed. The initial estimate was for around 5 months. It ended up taking 5 months and 3 weeks. The small delay was due to city permitting back-and-forth and weather, which all seemed understandable. The cost estimate was also quite accurate. We only went less-than-10% over, and generally due to things that we decided to upgrade partway through, or issues we discovered only after tearing open the walls. They also had a one year warranty on issues with the work, which they have honored with no hassle. Ultimately the company acts with integrity, and in this industry that's saying a lot.

We hired OConsulting because we wanted to remodel our kitchen, laundry room and living room. Our…read moreremodel design included removing (2) walls and adding (2) windows in the kitchen, expanding the laundry room, and raising a sunken conversation pit in the living room. Upon initial contact we emailed details of our project and then had a video conference with Fredy and Nanak to discuss the project in more detail along with their services. A contract for the work was issued and signed and Fredy came out for a site visit to begin. Structural and mechanical engineered plans were then developed with a set of preliminary drawings for our review. We discussed a few adjustments we wanted to be made to the design and then finalized the design details. A stamped set of mechanical and structural engineered plans were issued and submitted to the city via OConsulting on our behalf for the city's review and approval. The engineering and plans were so well done that the only request the city had were minor verbiage to be added to the front page of the plans indicating wind speed of the area, that the property is within an HOA and that no oil drilling is located on the property. With the addition of the specified verbiage to the plans the city then approved the stamped set of plans and the building permit was successfully issued. Our experience with Fredy and Nanak at OConsulting was a pleasant experience. Both Fredy and Nanak were personally a pleasure to work with. They answered all of our questions, listened well to our design goals and vision, were attentive to our project and because of their highly skilled knowledge and skillset they made it possible for us to proceed with beginning construction on our remodel. We are very pleased and grateful for the professionalism of the service we were provided with and are very happy to recommend OConsulting. Thank you to Fredy and Nanak for the excellent service you gave to us and for making our remodel visions possible.

I came to him with a complex situation: I had an ADU that was already built and needed to be legalized. From day one, Sam has been incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented. His patience is a true gift, especially in a process as frustrating and drawn out as dealing with city regulations. Sam has walked with me step-by-step through the process of legalizing my ADU. Honestly, without his help, I don't think it would be possible. He has gone above and beyond -- even to the point of covering costs upfront on multiple ocassions just to keep the project moving, with the trust and understanding that I'll pay him back. That level of service and integrity is rare and deeply appreciated. Words cannot fully articulate the depth of my appreciation. Throughout this journey, we've built a solid, trustworthy relationship. Sam truly cares about his clients and their success. If you're looking for someone dependable, talented, and committed to doing things the right way, look no further. You will not be disappointed. Like I said -- I wish I could give him more than 5 stars. The only way I can come close is by encouraging my wife to submit her own review too! Thank you, Sam -- you've been a true partner in this process and a blessing to myself and family.

We hired BN Design Build for a total remodel that had major sentimental value -- the kind of…read moreproject where you don't just want a good result... you need the right partner. We started with an ~1,600 sq ft home and Ben helped us completely reimagine it into a 3,600+ sq ft dream home that our family plans to keep for generations. What stood out throughout the process was Ben's rare combo of deep technical capability and a genuinely easy, approachable working style. Ben brought significant in-house strength to the table: full architectural design (including our California room / covered patio), plus engineering coordination around soil/civil and drainage planning. That integrated approach made the process far more seamless -- fewer handoffs, fewer gaps, and fewer "who owns this?" moments. And his pricing was fair and attractive for the level of rigor and service. As the build progressed, Ben stayed close and collaborative -- not just sending plans and disappearing. He worked with us and our contractors, answered questions, and helped keep things moving. He was also extremely responsive; he typically replied within a few hours, which makes a huge difference when you're trying to keep a project on track. Ben handled submissions and permitting with the City of Fullerton and worked through City-requested changes efficiently, saving us countless hours and headaches. He also has a sharp eye for detail -- his plans were thorough, complete, and clear -- and he brought creative solutions to get the design we wanted while respecting the budget. Our taste is traditional / Cape Cod, and he did an outstanding job translating inspiration photos into a finished design that feels classic, intentional, and timeless. We went through more than four rounds of revisions, and Ben was patient and constructive the entire time -- he worked with us until we were genuinely happy. Bottom line: Ben translated our dreams into reality, and did it with professionalism, responsiveness, and real care. We recommend him and are happy to discuss our experience with anyone considering BN Design Build. We're almost done with the build and will post pictures once finished!
