Sanitary Cleaners - inside of the patch: way too large for the repair, and the "~" outline shows where the hole could have been closed.

Rarely do I leave poor reviews, but i have never been so disrespected and disappointed in a…read morecompany's service. I have used Sanitary Cleaners for light repairs here and there, and have never noticed anything even hinting at a poor quality mending job. So, when my vintage pair of Levi's ripped on the back thigh, I thought I knew just the place to take them. I brought them in early November, and they said their seamstress was out on vacation for about 14 days so it wouldn't be quick -- no biggie, I couldn't wear them anyways. 15 days after dropping them off, I picked them up, paid, and went along with my day. When I got home, I was immediately upset with the quality of the repair. I worked in a theatrical costume shop, so I understand the basics of fabric repairs, and this falls so flat from what my novice mind could conceive. They simply attached a denim patch underneath and stitched 100 times over all the frayed material. I have worked in service on and off for 8 years, so I am always very careful when bringing forward complaints of any kind, but I needed to have something done because I felt cheated for PAYING to have my vintage denim ruined. I brought them back IMMEDIATELY the NEXT day, and I asked for the patch to be removed and/or to have my money returned to me. Not a bad deal considering they RUINED a pair of vintage Levi's... They said it was out of their hands and that their district manager would need to call me back. On that call (now, the following day), I learned that the cleaner was bought-out between the time I dropped off the repair and when I paid for it, so even though I paid a day earlier, they would not refund a dime. They threw a fit when I asked for something to be done. I was not happy simply walking away having paid for my jeans to be ruined. The seamstress said she could not take the patch off (which, after further inspection, it's not knot-stitched and a seam-ripper would make light work of removing the patch). All 3 staff members stared at me blankly when I was asking why they chose to not close the whole & stitch over it, or why a seamstress wouldn't be able to remove their own patch. All in all: they credited my account (won't be returning so boo hoo), they won't remove the patch, and I am currently seam-ripping a terrible mending job that cost me $16. Money wasted, terrible management.

(This is for the IC location) Do not recommend this place at all, would give 0 stars if I could…read more First of all, the prices are not listed ANYWHERE - not online or in the "store" - so I was pretty surprised to find out that the cost to dry clean 1 semi-formal (but really not that formal) dress was $37. Lesson learned, I guess, but I would have never assumed it would cost that much for a simple dress. I have never seen that kind of price at other dry cleaners I have used. Also, when I dropped it off, the sign said "anything dropped off today will be done by Wednesday." Well, Wednesday passed and I heard nothing. Once Friday rolled around and I still had not heard anything from them (besides the $37 charge to my credit card), I had to call to inquire, since I needed the dress for an event the next day. No answer. Someone (no idea who) from the store ends up texting me and tells me it "should be done" by the day that I need it by, and also, there is a stain on the dress that they could not remove. Okay, whatever. I just want the dang dress back. So at this point, I'm out $37 and the dress still has a stain on it (the whole reason I brought it in for dry cleaning). I get that maybe the stain just won't come out and that's fine/understandable, but now I am wondering what I paid $37 for. And to get it 3 days after they said it would done (8 days total). For one singular size extra small item. Learned my lesson and will definitely be using a different dry cleaner next time! Hopefully it actually ends up being done before I need it tomorrow - we'll see. Edit: picked it up this morning, hours before my event. The stains are very prominent on the front of the dress. Had I gotten it back on Wednesday, as I was promised, or even Thursday or Friday, I could have found another option before my event. Now it is the day of that the dress was ready to picked up, and it's too late to do anything about. Also, paid $37 for this, need I remind you. Wish I would have just used that money to buy a new dress. 0/10

Later on I find out that I was supposed to have left a credit card on file. Again, all things that the first time customer might want to know about especially when they physically only 2 to 3 days per week and don't even post their hours or days of operations on their door, receipts or anything like that. One and one here. Yelp lead me wrong on this one. Prices were normal hence the 2 stars.
