If you looking for good Dominican food, this is it.

This place is really small, but has a very comforting and at home feeling. The service is always quick and great. The food is delicious, I always grab a hot chocolate and toast in the morning. Love coming here when I'm in the neighborhood.

Today my mom and I went to Burgos for the first time. We ordered the mofongo and it was delicious. I ordered the cheese mofongo and my mom ordered the chicken mofongo. It came with a side salad and a gravy. I cannot wait to go back and other foods. I also ordered a passion fruit juice and it was delicious as well.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I was so floored by the quality and price of the food. Everything was so delicious and flavorful, and I had not had anything this tasty in Manhattan for a long time. The waitress was also very nice which was another bonus! The only thing I wouldn't order again is the passion fruit juice- I'm sure it's amazing in cocktails but it was so sweet I didn't finish it.

The Burgos our waitress made my eating in the Bronx a non painful experience. I simply ordered a steak sandwich and it came out the way I asked for it to be plus the ham sandwich I ordered came out well because they have a $10 card minimum so my second item looks like a wise choice. Of course one way to get the Bronx Experience is noticing that every place inside is like the streets outside in the way people act, act like every place is a bar and you have probably had too many drinks.

Burgos is a Dominican gem on Dyckman St. If you're lucky enough to be able to go here then do yourself a favor and check it out. The food was awesome, the service so Dominican yet very customer focused, a refreshing difference. The ladies felt like they were family feeding me and were always honest about food choices. It might help to bring a Spanish speaker with you but I'm sure anyone there will help out if you want to customize options. They really tend to cleanliness and standards. I had bistec encebollado with mangu and it was delicious.

The cheese sticks are a must when you visit. They are perfectly breaded, fried golden, crispy on the outside and melty on the inside. They come out hot, stretchy, and exactly what you want late at night. Their empanadas? Fire. The beef is juicy and packed with flavor, the chicken one is tender and well-seasoned, and that pink sauce... yeah, that sauce is elite. Creamy, tangy, with just enough kick to make you keep dipping until it's gone. I also ordered the chicken cachapa -- soft, slightly sweet corn pancake, stuffed generously and cooked just right. It's comforting, filling, and hits different when you're craving something authentic. Also on a late night on Dyckman, doesn't get better than this. The juices are fresh and refreshing, the perfect balance to everything savory. Service is quick and straight to the point, exactly what you need whether you're grabbing takeout or sliding into one of the small tables to eat in. The spot itself is small and cozy, no-frills, real neighborhood vibes all day. Overall, this is a classic Dyckman late-night Venezuelan staple. Great food, quick service, and flavors that always come through. If you know, you know.

This was a really good sandwich. I also picked me up some green sauce to go. Customer service was good, I was allow to sample a drink called Papelon and it quite refreshing. I would definitely visit this place again for more dishes that I'm not familiar with. I'm giving thumbs up and Happy Yelping!

Upon arrival, it was not what I thought from reviews and pictures. Las Palmas was also listed as being open late, so I crossed the street to check it out. This was more in line with what I was thinking. Unfortunately, the posted hours are incorrect. Instead of having an hour to sit and be served, I had ten minutes to order take out. The interior was cute and I can imagine people here for a date or eating with the family. I decided to go with tacos. An order of fish and one birria. There are three tacos to an order for $16. I think that may be slightly costlier than nearby establishments, but not by much. I worried about the state my tacos because I had a ways to travel. But my concern was for naught. The bag and food were so considerately packed, nothing spilled. Including the consommé in a cup for the birria. Having the first fish taco, made me instantly decide I want to try this hot and fresh! It has a heaping serving of pico and a slice of avocado on top. My one complaint is that I needed more fish. Not sure if that's an accurate grumble or just me being late night hungry/greedy. I warmed the consommé a little before dipping the tacos. The onion and cilantro taste was perfect. The meat was well seasoned and melty good. Not fatty or tough like other birria I've had. I would absolutely return to this spot and try more of the menu
