First time guest. Or at least walked through doors. The girl at the counter let me know they close in five minutes. The workers made it very evident they did not want to serve me. They would rather turn away business than to do what they were being paid to do. They should've locked the doors if they weren't open. Not a great experience. With terrible service like that, they lost my business and any future business. Won't be going back there anytime soon. read more

We love coming here with our kids! They love the grilled cheese which is great because it actually comes with TWO grilled cheese sandwiches that they can share. My husband and I love their burgers which are made fresh to order and their fries are the fresh, hand-cut kind, yet still really crispy. Oh! And kids get free ice cream which is always a hit with our girls too! All in all, Burger Fiend is a great local place that we're always really happy to support. Our families even request it when they visit from out of town. read more

First time here. The hamburger was hot, fresh and ... What's this? Juicy! What a shock to get a fast good burger that's actually juicy. Not tried up. Not greasy. Juicy! The French fries seem like hand cut. They could have cooked a little longer, but still were edible. I'll come back for sure. 3 stars because it's a little on the pricey side. read more

Went here after finishing up some work and decided it looked interesting. The food and atmosphere are amazing if your ever in the area to check it out I'll be back to try more things on the menu had the Italian beef with fries and it was delicious read more

Love the burgers here they're delicious. Also happy to support locally owned establishments.

In my opinion, this is as good or better than any other burger in the area. You have a lot of ways to customize your burger, and they're always deliciously juicy. If you get bacon, don't expect it ON your burger, but rather ground into the patty. This place is kid friendly too as kids get free ice cream with an adult meal purchase. read more

My husband and I have eaten there many times and will continue, I love their burgers, very tasty and the fact you can choose from lots of different toppings, all very fresh, great fries too. Very clean dining area also. Love it! read more

My daughter and I love coming here for bacon burgers. Hot and fresh, with great toppings to choose from. These are my favorite burgers. The fries are an acquired taste though, not golden or crispy, but they're good in their own way. Definitely try the fries, but know they're not for everyone. The open kitchen is fun as you can see how everything is made (this place is clean, and it shows), but you might leave with a hint of diner scent on your clothes (worth it). The fountain machines feature Coke beverages, which is a huge plus in my book. The 9-flavor soft-serve machine is a nice touch too. They just started a Burger-of-the-Week feature. I really love this idea and hope it stays. Bring on the exotic toppings and weird combinations! read more

I've been here at least 5 times now and it's been delicious every time! I've brought several friends here with me and everyone has loved it! Their burgers are super juicy and the fries are so good! They also have ice cream I had once and that was good too. I will be back soon! read more

Fresh yummy meat, fries, fiend fries, and a cup of fountain Hi-C, this place made me full, satisfied, and emasculated because I lost and had to bring home left overs. The interior is a warm environment with wood walls and TVs on the walls. The layout was pleasant as well. I order the double bacon burger basket and fiend fries because I felt brave and hungry. The basket fries were small but I learned why after the burger. The burger tasted amazing and I felt pretty filled after finishing. The fries were good fries, but the fiend fries were very good. It had the ranchey whatever it's called that you put on gyros spread above the caramelized onions, bacon, and cheese. Honestly I didn't really like the gyro sauce juice stuff outside of the gyro world personally, but I it was still good and not only did my friends like it, I could see others commonly enjoying it. By the time we left I still had a lot of fiend fries to take home. I would go back and will go back to redeem myself by finishing my meal. I definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants a good burger, needing some yummy tasting meat, or hungry people in general. It's good stuff. read more

BurgerFiend - Burgers Near Me - Cedar Rapids, Iowa

This place beat 5 Guys hands down. More options and all around awesome burgers. Plus it's locally owned. Prices are great!

Have ate there before and was good. Ordered through doordash, 2 bacon cheeseburgers, no bacon no cheese. If I wanted a chintzy ass burger would have went to burger king. read more

Food ok, but service terrible. They got 3 of our 4 burgers wrong on our carry out order. When we called to ask for a credit, they argued and refused to make it right. Trying to support local business during covid, but they should be respectful of the customer read more

Wow, really good burgers! We liked the quality of the meat, being able to customize it, and quick service. We got onion rings for a side and they were great too, really crispy. We want to stop in again the next time we're in Cedar Rapids. read more

Used to go to this place every weekend because they have really good burgers even though they are so pricey, but lately the customer service is so awful, the person who works there is so rude and they dont wear masks nor gloves when handling food, they dont even pack food in boxes anymore. I don't recommend this place to anyone who care about their health. They just lost their business.! read more

I liked BurgerFiend from day one because we didn't have a 5 Guys..... And you know what, its better. Way better. It doesn't have some of the flash and certainly not the rabid following, but the burgers are better. The fries are better. The dessert offerings are better. I think the seating is better (more room around each table). Ok, so they don't have the fancy billion flavor soda machine there, and I have to settle for something mundane, like a Coca-cola... normal. I like 5 Guys, alot, but hands down, BurgerFiend is just better across the board. And oh yeah, 2 or 3 people can split the "small" fries. Its ALOT of fries. read more

Great burgers, real meat not processed! You can taste the freshness of the real angus beef. And love the fresh cut fries. If you are not feeling like a burger, they also have brick oven pizza. They also have a great family atmosphere with lots of big screen tv's. You can choose your own toppings with the burgers and the pizza to get your own perfect flavor. read more

Came out on a Friday night. Was busy but not too bad. Ordered our food and only waited a little bit before our food came. We've been here before but today wasn't that great. The bottom bun of our burgers was soggy... like they threw it in water. It looked "doughy" but it's a store bought but so it was cooked. They were out of medium cup lids and a few tables were dirty. Overall the food is good but the prices are horrible. Who really wants to pay $8.50 for a burger basket with a soggy bun? read more

I felt like it was expensive fast food. Everything is a la carte. The burgers are decent but not worth the cost to me.

Rock star burger every time. I see people complaining about price. Ya it costs more than McDonald's or Wendy's. So if you want cheep food go eat there. Service is always great and the food is without compare. Best burger in the area hands down. The only thing I don't understand is the name. The one on 16th is Burger Fry and this one is Burgerfeen. Confused but full of burger greatness. read more

Basically a clone of the Five Guys concept. Give them credit for jumping on that before the franchise got to CR. Not much to dislike here. Not a great location which will be a challenge, but good food. A little on the spendy side but right in line with the Five Guys prices. Like the flat top style burgers so I will be back. Will be interesting to see how they compete with the franchise. read more

Man this place is off the hook good!! Great food! Hot, fast, clean. Very friendly girl at the counter 5 stars! Jordan was a great host and so was the girl at the counter!(didn't get her name but she was amazing too! By the way good job on your first shake Jordan! read more

I still am waiting for a return call from the owners or manager. There were four of us dining, our first visit and our last. The place smells greasy when you enter. I ordered a double bacon burger they were nice to tell us the bacon would be in with the meat. My wife ordered a single burger. The other couple with us ordered single burgers with cheese. We also ordered a large fry for all of us. When we got our order both burgers were singles. My wife tasted hers I tasted mine, we switched...no sign of bacon mixed in the burger. The mushrooms on our burger were cold like they were cooked prior and then put on. The burgers are slightly larger than a Freddy's burger. Very thin. They also messed up on the ingredients. We did not want mayo but got it anyway. We asked for our receipt when placing our order and were told it went out via email....interesting when they dont have our email address. The fries were not good. Many of them stuck together and arrived cold some of the worst fries I have ate in my life. The other couple also had a problem the lady had a mans beard hair in her burger it was gross. You could see the root end of the hair. She took it up for another and got a look from the bearded guy cooking the burger.....you can see the kitchen as its open directly behind the counter. The manager brought out her new burger and apologized. I SUGGESTED to get a net for the cooks beard and the manager agreed. The only nice thing I can say about the place is it was new looking and it has an open fountain station so you can help yourself to refills. Will not be returning as it is pricey and the burgers are THIN. Plus the food just wasn't that good. I am a burger enthusiasts. read more

We are frequent customers here. The burgers are always fresh and flavorful and the fries are excellent. The restaurant is typically nice and clean. It is our "go-to" place for a burger! read more

This place has the best burger in Cedar Rapids and they now serve awesome pizza. Everything is great that I have had.

My in-laws live in the area and every time we go.. this restaurant is one of our first stops. The bacon burgers are amazing. I especially like that I can get a fried egg on top. I'm a bit picky about fries and the fries are awesome as well! My kids always get a hotdog. The fact that they are all beef is a HUGE bonus for us! Love, love, love this place. Can't wait to go back!! read more

Burgers were awesome! I mean REALLY AWESOME! BUT!! The service was so terrible and slow, I won't go back. To top things off, when I informed the place of my terrible experience they didn't even reply! I did it in Facebook and could see the message was read, but I never even received acknowledgment. Ny experience was terrible from the moment I placed the order until 29 minutes later when I finally received my takeout order. Chaos and confusion and subpar service. Pretty bummed because I am a burger lover! read more

Soooooo, I just left this place, I ordered a double burger with carmelized onions, jalapeno's, ketchup, lettuce and tomato and I asked for the burgers to be medium rare. Now, to be clear, I was the only customer on line. So after several minutes they brought me a well done burger, no ketchup, Jalapeno's or carmelized onions. I ate the burger because its never cool to return food as we are never sure what will happen once we do. I ate the burger, it was fine. However, I felt it was necessary to tell the young lady of their mistake. She only utters the words "uhuh, uhuh." No apology, nothing. Sadly, that kind of service makes for a loss of a paying customer. I cannot understand how, when I am your only customer, you can get an order so wrong!!??? Sadly, I may reconsider going back. I give this place 3 stars, regardless of the bad service and them getting it seriously wrong, the burger was still tasty. read more

I ate in with a friend for lunch. Burger and small fries (water cup) with $1 tip was $11.61. Fries are over cooked for my taste. I like them to be potatoes, not dried out shoestring style. I had a bacon burger, I wanted it to be rare, but they can't serve it that way as they are using commercial sourced hamburger. Burger was dripping fluid, which did coagulate on paper serving basket. The best burger place I've ever eaten at was Buster T Buns, which was located where the Lone star is now on first avenue. They ground their hamburger fresh in house. So for this price and quality, I will never be back. My friend had the same opinion, just didn't align with his quality expectations. read more

The a-la carte menu is kind of annoying, and it's overpriced for what you get. Food is great, but bring a fat wallet if you want more than just meat on a bun. read more

A very good burger place. Don't order the Gyro meat, only 35% lamb. Fries awesome burgers even better.

Amazing burgers! Had great service from the two gentlemen working. Fries needed some seasoning to perk them up. Happy we stopped!

You would expect a real fresh burger and your not disappointed. I had a double cheese and wife got back burger. Both were great

This is the best burger place in town. All the works are super friendly love coming here

Finally got around to trying BurgerFeen, but don't feel a need to go back. Ordering was easy and we received our burgers and fries quickly. The burgers looked good, but they were nothing special. Pricier than what they should be. A fair selection of sauces and toppings, but all basic Skip the mushrooms--they're canned. The fries were good and a small fry was plenty for three to share. read more

love the atmosphere! Friendly staff, smells DELICIOUS, easy to find AND very clean! The patty itself, though, left MUCH to be desired. I would eat here every day for the delicious fresh made French fries though! Oh my goodness, they made the whole trip worth it themselves! read more

BurgerFiend - Burgers Near Me - Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Burger feen is really good, but maybe not worth the price. It's a very clean restaurant with very good service but I don't know that the good is quite good enough to warrant the above average price, but it is still enjoyable to dine here occasionally. Easily a solid 4 stars read more

Good luck finding a better burger in the CR area! This tops them all no matter what poll is out there. Sure, they have a ton of unnecessary toppings to add to your prize, but not needed. Bacon is ground right into the fresh daily made burgers. Took the family back there this weekend, and we all left contempt as we always do. Best burger in Cedar Rapids hands down! read more

The burger was greasy and fell apart which made it hard to eat. It tasted good and I liked the toasted bun. I also liked that I got to choose all my own toppings. The fries had a strange taste to them and looked burnt. I guess I should have tried a shake instead of the fries. It is extremely overpriced for a burger place. read more

Decided to try Burger Fiend for the first time tonight. Drive by all the time, but had never eaten there. Got 2 singles, a double, a bacon double, 2 fries, 2 shakes. The burgers were okay, nothing special. The "free" toppings were scant at best. And the buns lay open with the toppings on them for several minutes while waiting for the meat to cook. The fries were dark and soggy, and tasted a bit burnt. The shakes were good. And all this for the price of only $43.00. $43.00!! Really? It's just hamburger, not gold! And I've really had better! Yes, the sign says it's Angus burger, ground fresh daily. And they cook it after you order it, (so does McDonald's now). But $43.00? For that? Won't be back for a second go round. That's a third of a weeks worth of groceries for us. Sorry. read more
