At what I call "The Burger Triangle", where my three of my favourite burgers are around Metro Fabre, Mange dans mon Hood, L'Hamburger and of course Dilallo. Compared to Ville Émart, That location is smaller and looks like more a bistro than a diner. The vibe is chill, 5,6 70s dude where talking to each others, all seated at a different table, a bit loud, but the conversation were funny to listen. You got casino machines in the back, with a few elders on it. I've ordered the classic Buck trio; Cheese, spicy pepper, relish, mustard , onions, tomatoes, lettuce. It supposed to have capicole which is delicious as well, but I got food restrictions, can't eat it this time. I've ordered with the bread wet, but the very young cook was more focused on his cell than his orders. He forgot to wet it, no big deal tho. And once again, the burger delivered, still frickin' delicious! And the fries, my boy! I forgot how they were so good. I decided to walk down Rue Saine-Catherine to see if anything stood out to me. Patty Slaps caught my eye as soon as I passed it, and since burgers sounded good we decided to check it out. Patty Slaps is a fast casual spot. Walking in, we were greeted by a large, open space with communal tables the main production area towards the back. Ordering is done on kiosks up front - the menu is somewhat limited, but they have several types of burgers which are able to be customized to your liking. I didn't want to get too big of a burger, so I went with the Patty Jr. and customized some of the sauces. The burger itself was good, albeit I'm glad I got the junior size as it was a little too greasy for my liking - it had that glazed doughnut look. We also got some poutine to share which was good but not the best I've had in the city. Service was fast, and overall I enjoyed my meal at Patty Slaps. It's good for what it is, and I wouldn't be mad if circumstances found me here in the future.

What makes it different is the gravy. It's not a heavy dark/beef gravy like you'd expect, it's a much lighter, but still flavourful almost rotisserie-like gravy (reminiscent of the gravy at Swiss Chalet but in the best way). The curly fries were just like we remembered: crispy & light. Staff was friendly and accommodating l, but the initial server who took our orders forgot to tell us he was either going on break or had finished for the day because another server approached us later to take our order! They are known for their drink served in a mason jar. I found the jar have shrunk with time. It used to be served in the big one and now its the small one.
