All of us siblings drove in to Harriman to see our dad for the weekend. We made a big take-out order Saturday night -- about $140 with tip -- and I drove in to pick up. Now I know it would have been a pain but I told the girl we should check that everything was there. She said "I just double checked and it's all there." Got back to the farm and of course it wasn't all there. One of the reasons I suppose she didn't want to do the check is none of the boxes were marked, meaning we would have had to unwrap everything to see the particular item. I called and told them what was missing and I was driving back in to get it. Real pain. They really should mark the styrofoam boxes with what's inside to make for easy and quick checks on take out orders. Food was OK. Onion straws and fried pickles were greasy. Most were thrown out. Hers came out well-done and mine came out medium-well. The meat tasted fresh, though. The fries also were fresh tasting. The cheese curds were just so-so. The service was just adequate. I got an unsweetened tea when I ordered sweet tea, and after it was changed out I was never offered a refill. And we had to ask for a refill on my wife's coffee. This was a to-go order, I had the Brisket sandwich, first they got the order wrong as they put it on a burger bun, not a big deal but I did specifically ask for the sandwich. I got back to work and started to eat my sandwich and it was the worst Brisket I've eaten, poorly cooked (too raw) and loaded with grizzly fat, in every bite. We stopped here on the way thru the area. We looked up the description and it said fast casual and had the menu.. kids meals, hamburgers, chicken etc. Upon walking in we were greeted warmly. We weren't sure if it was like a smash burger type place where you order, pay and then sit.. it wasn't, we were seated in the most amazing train themed area with a waiter serving us. They were cooked perfectly and they didn't skimp on the cheese and bacon. These are the best I have had in a loooong time. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with potato cakes. The chicken was tender and flavorful. Pretty sure it was marinated. They had the signature Remoulade sauce on the side.. definitely put it on the sandwich. There is a reason it's their signature sauce. The potato cakes were good, but they couldn't hold a candle to the fries. The fries were far superior for my taste. My son had the kids chicken finger meal. The tenders were a little chewer than normal but he definitely had quite a bit of them. To end the meal we had a baby crazy cake dessert.. after we were so full from lunch the small size was perfect for the three of us. The employees were very friendly, very attentive and check on us thru the meal. The theming is amazing. The women's restroom was clean. It's single use so I was glad it wasn't busy. I was worried they might not like us coming in with less than 30 min to closing. I was wrong! They were very kind and hospitable. We saw the reviews and stopped here on a trip across I 40. So glad we did! I eat gluten free and that can be so hard on a road trip. Not here! They offer a number of gf options, as well as gluten free buns. Hubby went for a burger with onions and mushrooms. He reported it was great. I got the spud with brisket. Fun little placed with cute railroad themed decor. We stopped in after a soccer game. Nice gem for a small town. I had the chicken funnel cake sandwich (a fried chicken breast between two funnel cakes) it was drizzled with maple syrup, sticky and delicious. It was supposed to come with bacon which would have been "chef's kiss" perfect, but they ran out of bacon. (The server did take a couple of dollars off my entree because of it.) It was still good. My husband's burger was solid and my daughter liked her chicken tenders, but everyone was eyeing my funnel cake sandwich with envy. So the two of them ordered a funnel cake for dessert.
