I sustained an injury known as plantar fasciitis due to my over excessive zeal for running. Thankfully just recently I finally got approved by my insurance for a treatment for my feet. It's my fifth visit to this place for the treatments and so far I worked with 4 different therapists, and I have to say every single one has been pleasant and professional. They do try to accommodate your request and it's always a thin line between what a patient thinks he needs and what is actually needed. But to explain and navigate to a patient as well as keep the patient happy - can take a lot of patience. This place definitely has it. I recommend this place for anyone who is looking where to get their treatment, you will find professional approach and great team of people to work with.

Resonance PT is a life changer! I was diagnosed with…read morescoliosis as a preteen and grew up generally unbothered by it. Now in my mid-30s, I'd accumulated a few injuries from rock climbing, which resulted in chronic lower back and hip pain. I stopped all strenuous physical activity for fear of injury. My body became stiff and I began waking up with pain on a daily basis. I stopped wanting to get out of bed. I made excuses. My active lifestyle had completely stopped. I tried stretching and powering through the pain only to find myself in a cycle of reinjury and new lows. X-rays showed nothing of major concern, so I was convinced that there was no medical treatment and tried to accept this as my life. It was a dark time. Years later, after coming to terms with how much I missed being active, I decided to pursue physical therapy. My friend, knowing of my history of scoliosis and hypermobility, found Dr. Sandy at Resonance PT online. I reached out, scheduled a consultation call, and she immediately sounded certain that she could help. She even shares the same passion for rock climbing and dogs as me. After my first appointment, I could tell Dr. Sandy knew what she was doing. She did not make me feel bad for living with my pain for so many years. She assured me that working on my scoliosis would not only help with my pain from past injuries, but it would also set me up for strength and less injury risk in the future. After just three or four appointments, I was waking up without pain, walking without pain, and moving without pain. I even took a trip and flew on planes, which I used to dread due to the pain. While working with Dr. Sandy, I was asked to purchase some equipment and practice the recommended exercises at home. The exercises include breathing, strength and balance work. Dr. Sandy walked me through the Schroth method very thoroughly, over multiple appointments, and ultimately, I feel like I've learned the root concepts enough to apply them wherever/whenever I need to address any pain or discomfort. I saw Dr. Sandy twice a week for about 8 weeks and have been working on my at home exercise regimen for about a month. My pain has shifted from chronic to manageable, and I am confident that I have the tools necessary to eventually overcome it. I've been slowly getting back into rock climbing. Most importantly, I have hope again that I can resume the active lifestyle that I almost gave up on having. That is the biggest impact and I cannot thank Dr. Sandy enough for giving me that outlook. I highly recommend Resonance PT and Wellness for anyone, at any age, struggling with pain directly or indirectly related to scoliosis.

She is very creative, engaging, knowledgable and experienced in the art. I have learned new poses that help my body heal and in the process learned to relax. As a working mother this is a true luxury for me and her insight as to what her clients need is very important to her, which translates in classes that are not only nurturing but also empowering as well. She does not disappoint.

I had such a positive experience as a child that I knew this was the only place I wanted to go when I needed PT again. My DPT was Joe. He was incredibly knowledgeable, skilled, and patient (I ask a lot of questions). The staff was always so great and my appointments always started on time. Will certainly continue going here whenever needed! Tip: they offer more services than traditional PT, so check out the website for personal training/ group fit classes/ aqua/ etc. Highly recommend.

In the end, I learned that there were no appointments available until the end of September. I told the person I would check elsewhere because I could not wait that long and before I knew it she hung up. I have done PT here several times, and while the therapists are excellent, the people who work the front desk are horrible. I am now considering finding a new place for PT. If one can't get past the people who answer the phone and make appointments without having to encounter rudeness as I have today and in the past, this is not a place I will choose to get physical therapy at again. Whoever the manager is should be doing training with front desk staff to be a whole lot less rude.

LOCATION: Tucked away is a small outlet near Elvas Ave a few blocks from the Mimosa House. DECOR: In a nice office/room inside a physical therapy clinic. Minimalistic and cozy. PRICE: About $100-$150 depending on each clients needs. STAFF: Ryan Caputi is the owner/operator and not only has he helped me with a physical disability obtained in the military and helped in a way any other treatments haven't, he has taught me so much more about diet and sleep just based on who he is as a person and how he loves his life. I really feel better physically and mentally by the time I leave. EXPERIENCE: Let me tell you about the day I nearly came to tears after I give you some context. I have been dealing with degenerative disc disease, arthritis, and spinal stenosis with most of the pain stemming from my lower back. It negatively effects my ability to hinge and rotate at the waist as well as my ability to participate in most sports. So first we work on my lower back. Ryan's touch is light. Too light for me. I'm thinking "this can't possibly do anything. Doesn't feel like he's deep enough," but I just went with it. Next, Ryan says he'll work on my psoas tendon which is usually cause for a lot of hip and lower back pain. In order to do this, he must go through my stomach. First off, hell no! I can't even set my own hand on my stomach when I'm laying down because it's so sensitive. But it's the only way. So here it goes. I breathe deeply and slowly to prepare for the discomfort, but there was none. He was literally pressing through by stomach and I didn't die. I was in disbelief. We finally finish with that portion and Ryan asks me to sit up when I'm ready and then stand up. I sit up and wait a minute like usual. Then I stand up and can't believe what just happened so I had to sit down and stand up again to make sure it wasn't a fluke. For the first time in almost 10 years I stood up WITHOUT ANY PAIN. To no exaggeration, I had to fight the tears back. The next day I had a spin class and could feel soreness in my muscles. The Rolfing had gotten much deeper than I thought. After the class my muscles felt great. After the class, everyone wanted a fitness photo. So I do the splits which I have been able to do for a while, but not without stretching beforehand. Not only that, when I jumped up (and yes. I do mean JUMPED UP) off the ground, I couldn't even form words. I was in a time warp envisioning my past physical trauma slipping away. Now, my psoas is still putting up a fight over time, but I finally know exactly what is causing the most pain and I feel more optimistic about the future of my physical health than ever before!
