Eat here on occasion because it's close. Last time there was disappointed with their catfish. The skin was so tough it was really difficult to chew. I asked the waitress and she said it's just how they get it sometimes. I've never had Catfish anywhere else with tough skin. I got the all you can eat but didn't want more. read more

Visited Burger Nook with a few colleagues while on a work trip. We were starved and stopped at the first place we came across. Burger Nook proved to be an unforgettable experience, but not due to great food, or service. We had a crazy waitress who looked puzzled when a club sandwich was ordered (she didn't know it was on the menu). She also came back to our table after we ordered and ask if I wanted my grilled cheese toasted (WTH?). We had explained to her previously that we are from Ohio and were simply there for work. She started talking to us about her boyfriend who is a local plumber and said "we probably know him"... sigh... Bizarre service, mediocre food and prices. The chili was ssssoooooo good though. We were looking for a local place for breakfast. The eggs, sausage, hash browns, and especially the biscuits were cooked perfectly. The prices were reasonable. We will be back if we are in the area again. read more

It seems something is wrong every time I go to this place. When I was younger, I always used to come here with my grandfather, and they had even painted his face on the wall, among many others. One of my friends and I decided to dine here once, and will probably never go again. On both occasions that we have eaten here, the waitress has always been rude, the (always elderly) diners would stare at us the whole time, and it always seemed like we had to do the waitresses' job for her. You cannot get a refill on your drink unless you hunt your waitress down. Last time, out order was wrong. We politely told the waitress that it was wrong. She then proceeded to take out plates back, and pick off the incorrect toppings on our burgers with her hands. You do not want to eat here. read more

Burger Nook been going there for years, the food is good, I will give them that...but for years the service sucks...always has but let it go because of the food. If you don't mind waiting 15 minutes to be acknowledged. Another 10 minutes to get the coffee and when they get around to it after they are all gossiping about things that are none of their business.then they will get your order in. They speed by all the tables, so no one has a chance to ask for what they need. This isn't just us, I watch them do it to other tables. I can't even begin to tell how many sales Burger Nook has lost due to the laziness. I give the food a solid 4. The waitresses a -1. And this not just 1 or 2 visits this is years of visits. This last visit topped them all, so I left her an upside penny...that should say that enough! Get another profession all of them except the cook. read more

First time and last here. Stopped in, hoping to have a good Cheeseburger. I asked the young waitress if that's what they were known for since it was there name? She seemed clueless. Possibly her first day to work. Ended up ordering a ham and bean dinner plate for faster service. I certainly did not want to stay long at this place :( plate dinner was just okay, if I added enough salt & pepper. Seemed to be the local hangout for elders. It's okay. I guess. Way overpriced. I think over $30 for my husband and I for lunch. This is your typical burger place. Except over priced, bad service, and not that great of food. My husbands burger was good. They didn't have what I ordered.That's fine. I order the chicken strips. Literally ask multiple times for any type of dipping sauce. The lady working was impossible to get her attention. I am done with my food, after holding off to start eating for a good 10 minutes (at least), waiting for the waitress. She comes and drops off ranch when I am done. The chicken strips were probably the worst I've had. Small, and dried up. However that was a great compared to the service. All of this would have been ok, except the prices are ridiculous!!!! I should have got much better food & service for the price. Can't get a refill on your drink unless you ask. Hopefully you can get the waitress. I do want to come back and try stuffed tomatoes. But hard to convince my husband after the last visit. I'd like to say, "you pay for what you get". Worst. Ever. You can not order anything if it doesn't come that way. Very slow. Expensive. So for example you order a cheeseburger, it doesn't come with lettuce tomato onion or pickle, that costs extra and takes an extra 5 minutes to get. Said cheeseburger also costs $3.xx and is nothing special. read more

ok, I enjoy reading the blogs and the demanding picky people. Not everyone does it like Grandma or Mom did it or we were afraid to speak up tell them how we really felt. She also done the dishes and cleaned up after us and BTW made us finish our plate or threatened to be served it at the next meal. Its not an easy business I'm sure. But if its good tell your friends, if not just keep it to yourself. Mom taught that also and we learned that in school. Be kind to your fine feathered friend, because a Duck may be somebodies Mother. As for as me, I give them a "that-a boy" its a tough business, if not more people would be doing it. I'm sure it's not real lucrative either. Where have all the good Italian restaurants gone? We are in an Italian town? Oh well, just wanted to add my 2 cents, for what it's worth. 2cents LOL. The next time you go to Denny's, look at the menu and then look at the food. you will know the photographer and the cook have never met! LOL read more
