Ive come to Burger Monger 3 times when visiting from California, and let me tell you, the food and service are immaculate and gets better every visit. Not only is the food SO GOOD, but the chefs and cashiers always make sure to check in on each and every visitor. That personal touch makes this restaurant such a true treat because you really feel at home each visit. Kudos to the food, and the team! read more

The family and I had the opportunity to visit here after they remodeled and changed the menu. I much prefer the new look. They interior has a more refined/sophisticated color scheme, with very comfortable seating. Great decision there. The menu has changed, and while I was there, saw several customers who seemed upset by the change. Not sure what there is to be upset about. They offer several different types of burgers and give you the option to craft your own (burger, hot dog or chicken sandwich). So basically, you can make whatever sandwich you want if you don't see what you're craving on the menu. Sounds like a win to me. I ordered the southern smoke burger. Nice burger, tons of bacon. Bacon, beef, cheese and bbq sauce. Overall good flavor if you're looking for a bbq burger (basically). My wife ordered the Mona Lisa. I had a bite of it and I'll say it wasn't my favorite. It's topped with blue cheese, caramelized onion, balsamic tomatoes, sautéed cremini mushrooms. A bit heavy handed with the mushrooms or not sautéed enough (coming from someone who likes mushrooms). But these bold flavors really overpower the wonderful akaushi beef patty. Maybe more of a sauté or less cremini mushrooms, the earthy flavor will compliment the beef instead of overpowering. We shared the cheese fries. They do not have cheese fries on the menu but can make them. Simply ordered the chili cheese fries with out the chili . The fries are thinner steak fries which allow for a nice size fry with a great crisp. I enjoyed them. We also got the newly added onion rings; which we loved. Perfect size onion rings, great crispiness with breading that doesn't hide the onion. But the best thing we tried were the shakes. We ordered the cookies and cream shake and the Twinkie shortcake. They were both awesome! And while the cookies and cream can be eaten solo, definitely share the Twinkie shortcake. They put an entire Twinkie in the shake. Awesome after dinner treat and perfect for your "cheat day". As the days pass, the employees will get better with the Menu and service will be a little better (ie- the girl taking my order asked at what temp I wanted my toddlers chicken tenders. They are also still using cheat sheets to make shakes and other menu items). Not really faulting them because learning a new menu takes time; but hopefully those things get taken care of sooner rather than later. Overall, great new look with an awesome menu. Look forward to visiting again soon. read more

This was my family's first experience at this restaurant. After looking through the menu and photos, everything looked tasty and promising. The service from the cashier was a little unprofessional and I didn't pay no mind to it but now that I'm here I'll bring it up. I ordered my daughter chicken fingers, and this is what we received, a poor excuse of a meal that looks more like bottom of the bag left overs being served. The fries being bigger than the main course but having to pay full price for this. On top of wasting money on the chicken, I also ordered a kids burger with bacon and after coming home from a 25 minute drive, turns out I was robbed from the additional toppings. We didn't receive what we asked for. This place was the first and the last time we'll ever go and I'm hoping no one else wastes their money on their terrible excuse of food. Again after the long drive I called the store and there was no way of contacting management to let them become aware of their service. I wish I could give this place a 0. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. read more

Stopped in for an early lunch around 11:30 with my (adult) son. There were 2 people ahead of us when we walked in. It took almost 10 minutes just to place the order, and then another 25 minutes to receive the order (which was a campfire burger and a monger burger, both with fries and soft drinks - nothing special). The food was very good and I would've given a 5-star rating but the time it took to order and receive the food was just ridiculous. read more

I love this place! I can't wait to come back. Dare I say, I like these burgers more than 5 guys! That's right, I said it. I love all the options you can put on your burger. You create it just the way you want . The best part is that the toppings are grilled and there is no extra cost for it like most places. I definitely recommend. read more

Love the protein cheese burger for my Keto lifestyle here! The burger was juicy, unsalty and the lettuce they used were good to use as buns. Not just iceberg lettuce! This is the best tasting Burger in this area too. I like it better than Burger21 or Smash Burger. read more

As a burger connoisseur I can say I love Burger Monger. Some of the best burgers in town. Love it.

once again delicious food and superb service There were a few mistake with my order but Brandon and the rest of staff responded with excellent customer service. They did our order again and gave us a couple of coupons for next visit The second time, the food came out great The hot dogs are my favorite and the amount of toppings that you can choose from is extensive and scrumptious They also have beer and wine at reasonable prices. A must try!! read more

Burgers are hella underrated I've never tried them before! Juicy meat soft fresh bun. They were generous with the blue cheese and extra avocado which personally I love. The Oreo shake was to die for and made it a delicious combo. read more

I'm easy to please, so if I'm leaving a negative review, you know it's bad. The burgers are decent, but just not worth the price. Ordered a side of onion rings. I got 4 rings in the bag and they were super soggy with grease. Just passing this along so you don't make the same mistake. Burger 21 and 5 guys are safer bets! read more

Food is decent but the customer service is awful. Thought we'd give it a third try but unfortunately just more of the same. Last time, they brought our onion rings out, then 10 minutes later our fries, then 8 minutes later our burgers. Maybe some people like to eat like that but I'd prefer to have my food served at the same time. This time, we waited and waited to placed an order as they are short staffed. No one is friendly (and no we didn't say anything about waiting besides smiling as I'd prefer to not have my food spit it). I can't stand the flip screen for a tip either. How about tipping based on your service after the fact? Should have tipped $0. We will not be coming back. read more

My significant other and I have been wanting to pop in here for a while, nice girl at the register while we ordered but then they "forgot" about our fries and milkshake that we ordered with our burgers. On top of that the milkshake was made with sour milk. My boyfriend saw as she took the milk out of the fridge before making the drink and wanted to wait and see if she would actually make it with that. He had me try it not knowing what he did and sure enough I wanted to puke. Everyone except for the female that took our order just seemed to be in such a bad mood, even the girl that had just clocked in. Burgers were decent enough to come back but after everything else, we definitely will not be. read more

First time at Burger Monger... we had three sandwiches... the impossible burger, jalapeño snap burger with wagyu, and chicken Cali club on a gluten free bun along with a family order of fries. The impossible was deeelish - perfecto. The jalapeño wagyu started ok and got better as it was eaten (ended at a deeelish rating). The chicken club part was really good... the gluten free bun was awful (dry, dense, spongy). The fries were underwhelming... but that's the deal with takeaway fried food. They were fries and we still ate them. Everything about our order was correct, it was ready on time, and carried out to my car. We will definitely order again!! read more

We ended up spending about $40 for two people... burger was WAY overcooked. Fries and Chips were bland - and came out 10 minutes after we were served our burger. Crumbly bun. And Pepsi products. The highlight of the experience was that they had legit Heinz ketchup. The ambiance was one step above "cafeteria". Cold, no frills, eat and get out. Just an unpleasant dining experience and a very average burger with below-average potatoes. You're better off going to someplace like Beef O Brady's - which would probably be better, and you wouldn't have to stand in line to order. Oh, and we've had "chop house" burgers - these were just burgers. read more

Simply d e l i c i o u s...My family and I have been here before their new renovations and we weren't exactly impressed enough to come back. H, today we figured we would give it another shot and BOY was it worth it! The food is absolutely incredible. I had a craft your own burger and my parents had the grilled chicken. Quite affordable, too! I love the way they cut their fries now. I have yet to try their milkshakes and all the other goodies...I'll definitely be back! To say their savory burger hit the spot would be an understatement. Service was phenomenal too! I have no complaints about this place. I think the new brown chairs were my favorite. They were extremely comfortable!!! *UPDATE* Still a 5 stars!!! BUT...what the heck happened to the awesome fries?! I miss the old (new) ones!! Not these...Haha! Change them back, change them back, change them back!! Or at least...give us two options??? Thin cut fries or "normal boring fries"? read more

First timer here. We ordered two burgers, a hot dog, fries and a milkshake. Burgers were good, but our Coney Islander hot dog was served without chili and onions. Fries were served cold. Milk shake was good. The ppl at the table next to us were also complaining that their food was served incomplete as well. Overall, don't know that I'd come back. Not thrilled that that I've got to wait for mistakes to be corrected. read more

Not bad. First time here. Service is amazing. Fries really good. Onion rings really good. Burger was good. Patty was over cooked. Not a bad place. I will try it again. Hopefully the patty is better next time. read more

Consistently a great burger. Always cooked just right, great crust on the patty, and actually seasoned. I really think the toppings here set it apart though. Burger Monger's onions are always super thin, tomato is great and evenly cut. The sauce amounts are perfect, the bacon is actually good bacon on its own- and even the bun seems perfect. read more

My FAVORITE burger place. Known for tender, high quality, Kobe beef with all the delicious toppings you want (so pile on the free toppings)! They also have some premium toppings for a small cost. There are many different sauces to choose from as well. All the burgers here are cooked medium well unless you ask for it cooked differently. I always ask for mine medium. I've been to this location a few times now and it has even been our post race choice for eating when we are super hungry and want to eat everything in sight. This is one burger I never feel guilty eating so when I'm craving a burger I go to Burger Monger. This particular visit I went with my husband and son. I got the regular burger monger burger and my husband and son both got the 1/2 lb burger monger. We ordered the monger fries to share (the largest size) and were able to take a lot home. This is more than enough for a family of 3 or 4, probably too much! I'm giving my visit 4 stars only because the fries seemed a bit soggy this time, however I've been at this location before and have had crisp, fresh fries. I love that they have malt vinegar for the fries! My husband and son split an Oreo milkshake as well (yes, this was a high calorie evening). It was creamy and smooth with lots of cookie pieces in it. They do serve different teas, a variety of sodas out of the fountain and some beers on tap as well. The people who work behind the counter are friendly. Even though this is a place you order at the counter and food is brought out to you, they still come clear you plates from your table as you finish your food. They seemed to be busy tonight prepping lots of to-go orders. I noticed they also accept Uber Eats. I've been to both this location and Carrollwood. Can't go wrong...both are great! read more

Good burgers and shakes. The campfire burger and shake is/was awesome. Pretty quick to get orders out to you piping hot too.

Burger Monger - The Ultimate Bacon Cheddah, Natural-Cut Fries, Ketchup - Burgers Near Me - Wesley Chapel, Florida

This used to be a favorite spot for my husband and I to grab a burger. We love their thinly cut fries as well! But most of all, we loved that they had gluten free fries and a gluten bun available on their menu! As someone with Celiac, it's pretty difficult for my husband to find a place he can grab a burger and fries without getting ill. Most places fry their fries in the same fryer as items that contain gluten--this cross contamination can cause people with celiac to have an adverse reaction. (Think really terrible stomach problems for a day or more.) So we were glad to hear that Burger Monger uses a dedicated fryer! We visited Burger Monger many times but a few months ago he got sick after eating there. We assumed it was because of some mix up--maybe something in the order wasn't marked GF the way we asked. So we decided to give it another shot recently and just be more clear about the GF part. When I asked if the fries would be made in the dedicated fryer, I was told that they don't do gluten free fries anymore. :( So, we just ended up leaving without ordering anything. Eating out can be really tough when you have celiac and we were sad to have to strike this great restaurant off our list of safe places to eat. We ended up going to Red Robin, which does have gluten free options and the kitchen even marks your actual food item as such with a color-coded pick. read more

My only complaint is the bathroom. It didn't smell okay at all. I know, it's a bathroom, but it was this sickening smell of idek, not crap or piss. Other than that, the service was absolutely great (unfortunately the counter-lady was treated poorly by another customer) but she was cool anyway, and the food was phenomenal. The Jalapeño Snap burger is great and the regular fries are the same. Would definitely recommend coming here if you like chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches, burgers, shakes, hot dogs or fries. read more

I always loved coming here because they had these amazing flat fries you couldn't get anywhere else. This time when they came out they were just regular McDonald's fries. When I mentioned that I didn't really want those the server just said they had complaints about the flat fries and walked away. That sounds weird because we always raved to the people at how good they were. I was bummed then my burger came out really dry. Normally I don't even need a knife here. I'm not sure what happened in the last month since I visited. But this place is no longer for me. It used to be my favorite place in the area to eat a burger. Now I'm going back to five guys with their amazing fries and consistently perfectly cooked burgers.. read more

I don't understand the negative reviews. This location has really gone above and beyond to make the burgers and all the extras as good as it gets. Great burgers! And I'm a super huge fan of the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich (which is my recent go to). This location recently underwent a complete remodel, and it's so much cleaner and more inviting now. The cleanliness and food are much better than the Dale Mabry location. They have unique flavored ketchup that is so addicting! I like the sweet and spicy one...and they recently changed the fries to flat and fat fries that are SO good...I hope they never go back to the old fries b/c they were terribly and soggy all the time. These are nice and crunchy on the outside and the potato is perfectly cooked on the inside. I'm not a fry gal and I can't stop eating these. Mac n Cheese...it's meh. I like their family sized tables for larger parties, we usually meet with friends to grab lunch here with our families and enjoy that we can all sit together. We spend about $40 when we dine here for a family of 4. read more

As loyal Burger Monger 1.0 customers, our family was anxiously awaiting the reopening of one of our favorite restaurants. The new decor is nice, sleek, and has a modern feel to it. Upon reviewing the Burger Monger 2.0. menu, we were pleased to see new items but disappointed that many of our favorite items were removed. We were sad to see these items gone: the veggie option for the kid's meal, some burger toppings (spinach, red peppers), beer on tap, Orange Crush in the fountain machine, and root beer floats. The new plastic cups, plastic utensils, and flimsy plastic bowls all cheapen the feel of the newly renovated space. Bring back the large cups, real flatware, and ceramic bowls! We also miss all the comfy booths and the TVs are now reduced from about 12 to 3. When our food arrived, the cost containment was glaringly obvious. The side salad was pitifully small and looked like something from a bad school cafeteria. It came in a small plastic bowl and was only halfway full. It had a few measly pieces of tomato and celery on top, as we asked for no onions--not worth the $3 we were charged. The previous chopped salad had balsamic tomatoes, feta, and came with a delicious bread stick--now THAT was a good salad, plus it came in a cool white bowl. The burgers tasted good but were noticeably smaller/thinner, and the bread was doughier. Our once favorite French fries are now reduced to a thin, flat steak fry that are just not as good, and the shareable portion was small. So disappointing to see that the changes were not good ones. We were certainly spoiled by the original menu and portions. Guess we will be looking for a new burger joint. read more

The worst burger that I have purchased in years! I ordered take out. This use to be my favorite burger place. Burger was cooked beyond well done. It was charred on one side. It was almost inedible. After a couple of bites the rest was thrown into the trash. The French fries were barely cooked and were the opposite of the burger. They were limp and soggy. Unfortunately I do not live close or I would have returned all of the food. There are too many other burger places close and you are too expensive to serve food like this. I will not be spending any more money here as this has happened before. read more

The food is not good or anywhere near worth the price. The meats on our meals were either way over cooked or way undercooked. The whole place is dirty and the bathrooms are trashed. Owners are definitely not paying attention to maintain the quality and again the value is horrible for what is equal to a Culver's burger. read more

Why 3 stars?.........Because the burgers are O.K. nothing to write home about. My son wanted to come here although I attempted to reason with him to try another place. I been to Burger Monger once before and I was not impressed. The burgers were cooked well done and toppings were added. They gave me chipotle mustard instead of regular mustard and they rectified the issue by giving me several $2 off coupons for my next visit. I don't think I will be back. Although IF I do I would use the coupon because they are quite pricey 3 burgers (my son got a double burger for $10), 2 drinks and a half pound of fries for $34......the half pound of fries was supposed to feed 2-3 people looking at the picture you can tell that was a joke. And that wanna be half pound was $2.99. Sorry Burger Monger you won't be seeing me for a while. read more

I heard they were switching management but it's no excuse for what's happened to Burger Monger. The quality of burgers has gone down, the level of respect I get as a customer no longer exists. It's a damn shame what has happened to this place. The wife and kids loved the burgers and that bbq chicken sandwhich the kids couldn't get enough of it. But I definitely will not be returning here ever again. My last interaction was watching an unorganized staff with no leadership look completely lost. I spent 10 minutes being ignored, listening to an elderly gentlemen tell his co-workers to stop taking orders, to essentially ignore the customers? Maybe they were just too busy or whatever, doesn't matter it's your job to service me, not ignore me and my family. At least an apology explaining why you're choosing to ignore me would of been good enough. But no, I got nothing and finally when we placed our order. I watched as the cook whom I've never seen in there before and looked like he didn't belong in a kitchen. Burnt and smashed our burgers into nothingness. I can guarantee I will NEVER be returning here and I'll make damn sure nobody I know ever steps foot inside this now-sad excuse for a burger joint. It's a damn shame, because this used to be the best burger spot in all of Wesley and now it's barely a shadow of what it once was. Sad to see another good food business go sour due to a lack of care by it's management. read more

I rarely try to leave negative feedback - especially in a public forum such as this. But i was so disappointed with my recent visit to the Wesley Chapel location. Let me preface, the staff were beyond friendly and extremely accommodating (which is literally the only reason i even gave 2 stars) But after being a patron for so long, to come back in and experience a complete menu change is not only shocking but also upsetting. The fries are absolute garbage. I didn't think anyone could actually make a fry that my wife wouldn't eat - but congrats to Burger Monger on that feat. Not only have the fries changed but the increase to almost $8 for a burger i could easily get down the road for half the price?! I know i sound like a lunatic, but if you pulled up to McDonalds and ordered a Big mac and their golden, crispy fries but instead end up getting something completely different, you'd be upset too. The manager was super sweet and offered to make it right with a new side or dessert, but really my whole appetite was ruined when all i was hoping for was my usual. I see from other reviews, that the changes the company keeps making is not well-liked - explains why it's always so dead inside. WHY FIX SOMETHING IF IT WASN'T BROKEN? p.s. i like to leave on a positive note, i would have to say that the restaurant is always clean. Kudos read more

My steakhouse burger was filled with flavor along with charred pieces, indicating the grill needs to be cleaned. I used the restroom while we were there and the floor was soaked, smelled and trash can was full. So between my burnt on add pieces of my burger and soaking smelly bathrooms I'm not sure I would go again. Ugh. So. Good. They have a great deal on Monday's for $5 burgers. This place could ... could, give red robin a run for it's money. I had a regular burger with a crap ton of toppings from the veggie section, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc.. However the monger sauce was the oddball in my list of toppings/sauces, it was fantastic! I have a hard time rating Burger Monger, probably a solid 3.5. They have a good selection of toppings, their buns are soft and dough-y, and it's clean and often quick service, but I just feel it's a bit pricey for what you get. As in, the burger patties are small. Essentially, I'll go there if someone else picks it, but probably not of my own accord. read more
