GPS drops you off about two doors before the actual location so continue to walk around the bend. The restaurant sits on the corner with a beautiful window view. There are a good amount of tables for the size of the space and seating you can sit to chat or as a single that looks out the window. There is a men and women's bathroom, and inside the women's restroom is a changing station for babies. The staff was very welcoming and kind, the service was fast, and the food was fresh and delicious! What an amazing find and pick. I ordered a latte, and my husband got a cappuccino. We both ordered the same breakfast which was an omelet with goat cheese and spinach. The omelet came with a small green salad, and we ordered a side of toast to split. It was the perfect amount of food. The toast taste so much better than the states. It came with a side of butter and red jam. Maybe raspberry? Whatever it was, we loved it! The goat cheese was smooth and creamy and the greens were refreshing and just plain fresh. Everything tasted better than what you would normally imagine. Breakfast isn't my favorite meal of the day, but the day we dined here it was! The location is only about a ten minutes drive from the castle. If you are in the area, I highly recommend coming here, and if we ever go back to Scotland and are close we will definitely go back as well. I had thought, since this was the lunch menu, that it would be a slightly more moderate portion. Not that I'm complaining because it was also delicious. My partner loved his steak pie too. They run a loyalty card (although it's new and I'm not sure the system totally works as it eventually will). They offer cocktails and seem proud of their wine list, but they also offer good coffee and cake, as well as their own home made tablet. They cater to groups and parties and they run offers throughout the week, like two main meals for £7.99 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. However, I also enjoyed the fish and chips, which were as fresh and scrumptious as promised. This is also a great place to enjoy local beers/spirits. I adored the delightfully quirky nautical decor, and the servers were thoughtful and efficient despite a huge influx of diners after we arrived.
