Phenomenal! We were…read morestarving when we stumbled on this little corner Mexican eatery. The menu is on the TVs in Spanish & in English. Super nice touch if you want to practice a little español. We ordered chips & quac to start. There was an abundance of chips and the quac is made with lime so it's nice and zesty. They offered a hot sauce and a salsa verde in the little cups & they complimented the food nicely. Watch out for the hot sauce-- it's SPICY. I almost lost my taste buds before the food came bc it was so good. I had a shrimp burrito that was massive! I ended up fishing the shrimps out with a fork towards the end; I couldn't muscle it but I also couldn't stop eating. It came with a side of more chips. My husband had a chicken quesadilla & taco combo that came with refried beans topped with cheese, rice & a salad. Super filling & delicious! I dipped the chips in the beans and loved it. As we ate the phone rang off the hook. They probably do insane take out since it's a little place with only about 6 tables. It was reassuring that the food is super fresh! Deff a solid option out here where places don't seem to open until 12pm.

I would recommend the corn agnolotti, fish and chips, baked clams, and oysters Rockefeller. The tuna tartare was decently sized but lacking a bit in flavor. I would still recommend it, just be prepared to have a chill, long dinner!

Last night I was driving back to the city and decided to check it out. I drove down the long road flanked by sand dunes. The sunset was simply beautiful. There was very little traffic and I made it to the restaurant easily. Once there I was greeted by a friendly young girl at the door. The place was pretty packed but I was able to get a table by the water with a view of the bay and marina. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The food arrived hot and nicely arranged. The main entree I selected was the "Long Island Monkfish" for 34$. The price was more than expected for the quantity of food and they should have included some bread - very much needed with the spicy vinaigrette. The monkfish was absolutely delicious! The leeks and gnocchi went perfectly with the fish. I read online that the Branzino is really good here. I really wanted to try the Branzino but they ran out of it. Before I left, I went to the restroom. They have two stalls so there was a bit of wait. The main area is open with sinks, soap and a Dyson dryer - no paper towels. The stalls are clean with ample space. While waiting, I chatted with the other people who had been to the Rose wine soirée earlier. They said it was great - unlimited rose wine plus appetizers at the beginning, including lobster rolls. Tickets were 60$ all inclusive. They had a DJ and small outdoor dance floor and it was almost all women. That's not a surprise - rose wine events tend to attract more women than men. I'm not sure why, maybe because rose wine is pink or the invite appeals more to a female audience.

For apps we started with the oysters and the escargo in gruyere cheese which were both fantastic and fresh. Dinner wise I opted for the Philly cheese special and let me tell ya, this can compete with the best of them. It was a triple meat sandy sautéed in a cheese blend on a fresh hero; it was so large I split it. Wine list was nice and ambiance is rather casual but not fully dress down. Id recommend reservations unless you want to sit at the bar, which is another nice option. Definitely recommend.

The seats were a hair uncomfortable but maybe that's because I'm older, no seat or back cushion though. I could not be hear without cupping by hand behind my ear and I needed to talk a bit loud to be heard. :-( Great news for my group--I really had nothing notable to say and was not in the mood to hear about how their Kid or grandkids got an A+ in coloring or naming shapes. The service was ok--not great. We waited a long time to get out check and became more tired than we were motivated to order dessert...so we gave our credit card as soon as we got the check and hightailed out of there. The escargot was not our cup of tea--they had anise and cheese in the l recipe and we just did not like it. We complained and they magnanimously took them off the check. the baked clams were very good. They had just the right amount of herbs and seasoning and were of perfect consistency. I could have eaten a dozen myself! That said just be aware that they come in an order of three (3) so if you are coming with a larger party it might be a good idea to take a count of whoever wants it over parentheses (n) and then multiply by 2 and divide by three so you order enough orders. Orders = (nx2)/3 The crab Caroline salad was a show stopper--absolutely delicious. It's a huge bowl portion that's very sharable. Tasty dressing and substantial lump crab with fresh and crispy greens. The bacon was a bit dry and under seasoned but holy cow was the slab thick and big! If I come back I might ask them to chop it up and put it in the Caroline crab salad--if I can remember! The sirloin steak was very good. I asked the for a "char of all chars" and they did not disappoint! It was seasoned just fine, and tender enough when I cut thinner slices. It was quite good. I'd get it again. The BV potatoes looked great and had a very nice crisp to them. They really could have used a ton less oil and a bit more seasoning. Way too oily from a technical point of view. Not sure if they used butter or not. The creamed spinach was excellent. Perfect amount of cream and steaming hot---might have been helped with a hair more garlic. So, the food was a solid 4 besides the potatoes, escargot and bacon which were between 2, 2 and 3 respectively. The service, lighting and acoustics fell short but were not bad--just not good and probably not average. Overall I'd give them a solid 3+. I go back year after year so suggest people go! Try it!

The service here was wonderful, I see a lot of people complain about the staff but the guy who served us was super high on life, he was energetic, enthusiastic, helpful and a good dude. The other waitress we saw working looked miserable though, so maybe she is the reason people were not happy. The food here is definitely expensive, like at least 5-8 dollars more than similar dishes in restaurants, but this is the Hamptons, so it's to be expected. Also, the portions are HUGE, so this is good to know going into it. We got some Martinis for dinner, and we weren't that impressed with the bartenders mixing job, also 3 Martinis for 50 bucks is a little crazy, especially since they used some weird "top shelf" vodka, not that special. We got a Cesar Salad to split as well, and I've never said this before, but the salad was TOO CHEESY, which I didn't think was possible, but it happened. More cheese than there was lettuce, which kind of killed it for us. I ended up getting the Pasta special, which had a dollop of cheese with lamb, marinara and pasta, which wasn't special, but a huge portion that will be like 3 meals for me. We did get an appetizer that was like one big mozzarella bread stick, and that was very good. The olives really added a nice taste to it, and it was a good split. My girlfriend got a fish dish, and when I tasted it was super lemony, not that big fan, so overall the spot gets 3 stars. 1 for the dude who served us who was a great server 2 for having a very open, spacious, safe dining room experience and not being too crowded Probably won't go back
