It was thick enough to actually have a 'doneness' to it, and it was somewhere in the medium well range. Though I generally do not frequent fast food, this is a place I would certainly go to again if the circumstances made it come true. I sampled the fries as well -- just the plain ole fries -- and they were okay. It was good to see at least they looked like they were cut from potato as opposed to some places where they look 100% man made.

How could that go wrong? What I got was fries and a plastic cup of cheese. Clearly the cheese was heated (microwave?) in the cup. When I stuck my first fry into it, the whole glob lifted out of the cup. The cheese was not dippable and was bland. My take away is to not eat at one of these Shake Shack wannabes.
