In July my parents went to this Burger King location for lunch and both got a Whopper meal. My mom took a bite of her burger and noticed the meal looked pink in the middle and did not taste right. She ate about a 1/4 of the burger before deciding to not eat anymore. She did not bring it up to the staff because she was shy and doesn't speak very good English. Approximately 2 hours later, my mom is throwing up her food. She continues to throw up for the next day and a half. We assumed it was food poisoning from the burger because that's all she had eaten when the vomiting started. She also started to experience severe pain in her abdomen and left side of her lower back. She eventually saw a doctor when she went back to her home state and was told she had colitis, which was possibly caused from ingesting an undercooked burger or being exposed to Ecoli. I attempted to contact the BK location directly to inform them of the issue but their store phone number only that had selections to speak to a manager that went directly to a voicemail. I left multiple messages for the store manager, as well as the district manager, but did not get a call back. I then filed a complaint through BK's online chat through their website and some customer service person reached out through email to get details of my issue. About a week or two later, I receive a phone call from the manager of the Scappoose Burger King Location. She was very rude from the beginning of the phone call. She told me my complaint was very serious and causing her store to go through multiple visits by the health inspector's office. I expressed I wouldn't have brought up the issue if it had not occurred. She told me my situation did not make sense and that my mom should have made a complaint at the time of the incident, if it had occurred. She insinuated multiple times that I was making things up. I have no reason for making up this issue, I am not gaining anything out of it. My mom has medical documentation to prove what happened to her and the pain she went through for weeks. The manager's lack of empathy and costumer service was disappointing to say the least. When I informed her I left multiple voicemails to her store phone number, she told me they did not have a phone for her store. Than changed her story saying they had disconnected that phone number due to prank calls. When asked how people were supposed to get a hold of her store for actual inquires she said "I don't know". This is the worst BK I've ever been to, and there are some that are pretty bad. Me and two other coaches stopped by after a football game on a Friday night at 9:45pm a couple weeks back. We ordered a couple wraps, a couple burgers, a chicken sandwich and an onion ring. Nothing crazy. They ask us to pull around front to wait for it (the lady wasn't very nice about asking us either). So we wait, after about 20 minutes they bring it out, but it is 4 wraps and nothing else. So we knock on the door, they say sorry, go back in. She comes back out and says our order isn't in there any more and if she could have our receipt, we give it to her. She comes back in about another 15 minutes, this time with two onion rings and one cheeseburger. She hands it off and runs to the dumpsters so she can double fist a vape pen and a cigarette. We walk up to the door, tell them our order is wrong again, the older lady this time yells at us that everything is in there, we politely say it's not and we've been waiting an hour. They shut off all the outdoor lights and 20 minutes later bring us another bag and apologize for the wait. She heads back to hit her vape pen again, It is now past 11pm. We look in the bag and they brought a SPICY chicken sandwich and a burger that we did not order. We were done, and just left. We will NEVER stop at this place again. Came inside to order one sandwich. There was one person on the cooking line and one person on drive though. There was another in the office. The drive through was not busy just steady. I waited 10 mins with both employees walking past me not even saying "be with right with you". I walked away to use the restroom, came back and waited another 10 mins before the drive through person said to the employee in the office to come help. They came out after my order had been placed and it seems to be a manager. The cook and the drive through worker were trying to help everyone and looked stressed. The management needs to employ this place better. There is no reason for two people to be trying to maintain the whole place alone. Once I got my order it wasn't what I had actually ordered. When I got to the window and saw the attire of the person at the counter and the manager I should have just driven off then. I guess I'm an extremely slow learner. I ordered a child's burger, very bad idea! The food was cold and "slapped" together. The meat wasn't on the bun but hanging 1/2 off and there was so much ketchup (Which I asked to be removed) that you couldn't hold the burger without using the paper it was wrapped in. For me, the burger was an absolute waste. I would think the owner be coming around to see how a restaurant could make more money. We came on a rainy day fromabout 10 miles away, BK fans for 55 of our 75 years. This visit was awful. Here's why: 1) asked for no ice but got a drink that was 25% ice. 2) the cheese in the whopper jr was cold. 3) the spicy whopper bread was not toasted. We took it back. The replacement was somewhat toasted, but we were told, "That WAS toasted! It took 6 tries in the toaster to get your new one toasted." I believe this to be a lie since the time between our complaint and receiving the replacement was half the time to produce the original. We have never been unhappy here. I am appalled by this locations inability to hire anyone capable of doing their job. They should be shut down immediately. I went through the drive thru and there were no other cars in line but was told I needed to pull around and wait for my order. After an extensive wait, I was brought cold food. Upon getting home, I saw that they forgot my fries. (Maybe thats for the best after reading some of the other reviews!) I returned to the location with my receipt and told them they did not give me the fries I ordered and requested new ones. However, apparently they did not fix the speaker/microphone to give our order to the counter person, I was constantly told, "I can not hear you", I am yelling at the top of my voice and they do not understand me. I get frustrated with this ordering system and when I drove by the pick up window, the person leaned out the window and yelled at me about why she was having problems hearing with the traffic. Then I get home and realize they left out all the nuggets and bites besides one order. But now I just don't want to go there at all, because it's at least even odds that when you go there, they will be out of something you want (especially if you want anything 'crispy chicken' related, or if they have some new limited time menu item) or a sign on the speaker saying their grill is down or their fryer is down, or something is not working. Often by the time you get to the point in the drive thru where you learn this info, there is a car behind you, so you can't leave. You just have to sit in some slow drive thru queue for no reason at all. That's not a chance I want to try to take, anymore. read more
