This is my favorite pizza chain. It's a behind the glass, choose your toppings sort of place and they use awesome ingredients. I like that the pizza is very reasonable and especially for being airport food. If there's a long line or even a mid size one, it's going to be a little while. I love that the pizza is freshly oven fired and the crust reflects that. The service can be slow but it seems like that's from overwhelmed people working. I was surprised at how much I liked this place. For an airport grab and go restaurant, it was pretty quick and not too crazy expensive. You can pick from one on their menu or create your own. It's made with fresh ingredients and cooked within a few minutes. There aren't too many employees and the restaurant feels sticky, but other than that it's a decent place for food. read more

So I do like MOD pizza generally, but today was very different. There are five employees upfront and seven people in line not a single employee acknowledge a customer to say will be right with you, not a single employee looked up to smile, not a single employee did anything except one dancing by the pizza bake, two laughing and joking with each other, 1 making pizza, toppings, and joining in on the fun and one laughing and measuring items. I don't usually do things like this but - MOD Pizza I am writing publicly because what I experienced today at your SE 82nd Avenue location in Portland was disturbing, unacceptable, and should never happen to any customer. I was sexually and verbally harrassed by your employee in store today. I placed an order through the MOD Pizza website at approximately 11:40 a.m., with a confirmed pickup time of 11:55 a.m. I arrived around 11:50 a.m. to pick up my order. At the time, there were no other customers in the store, and the two employees were standing in a booth area talking rather than working behind the counter. One employee, who identified himself as Keith, approached me. During this interaction, he made unsolicited and inappropriate personal comments, including pointing out that I was not wearing a wedding ring and asking whether I had a boyfriend. He stood uncomfortably close, invading my personal space. I had to physically stepped away because I felt uncomfortable. This behavior was inappropriate, unprofessional, and constituted sexual harassment. When I asked if I could add a fountain drink to my online order, he insisted I take it for free. Given the prior comments and his proximity, this did not feel like a courtesy -- it further heightened my discomfort. He continued on about how lucky my boyfriend is, in a very gross way, for several minutes. I waited in the restaurant until approximately 12:20 p.m. During that time, I watched three walk-in customers place orders, receive their food, and leave, while my online order -- already more than 30 minutes past the confirmed pickup time -- was ignored. When I asked about my order, Keith stated it was "being made right now." Eventually, I was handed pizzas that turned out not to be my order.I had taken the pizzas in my car and opened them. I immediately returned to the store to report the mistake. I was told the pizzas were actually a DoorDash order, which was then still given to a delivery driver after having been in my car, unsupervised. When I asked again about my actual order, Keith became hostile and confrontational. He raised his voice, refused to look at my online confirmation or order number, repeatedly told me that I "messed up," that they did not have my order, and that it was "not his problem." He explicitly refused to review proof of purchase from the MOD Pizza website. He attempted to hand me a coupon for a free pizza, which I declined. I stated clearly that I simply wanted the food I ordered or a refund. At this point, his behavior escalated further. He waved the coupon close to my face, continued raising his voice, and acted in a way that felt deliberately intimidating. I am a woman who is approximately 5 feet tall and 100 pounds. This employee is a significantly larger male, and his posture, volume, and proximity made me feel unsafe. I moved away and sat across the restaurant to make a phone call to my workplace to explain why I was late returning from my lunch break. While seated, on the phone, and not engaging with him in any way, Keith repeatedly yelled across the restaurant at me, making statements like, "You ain't gonna scare me," "You messed up," and "That's not my problem." This continued for several minutes. I was visibly upset and crying at this point. I ultimately left the restaurant without receiving my order or a refund. This experience involved sexual harassment, verbal harassment, intimidation of a female customer, refusal to acknowledge a valid online order, and a complete failure of basic customer service and safety. I am deeply concerned that this behavior occurred openly, without intervention, in a customer-facing environment. I am requesting that MOD Pizza formally investigate this incident and issue a refund for the order that was never fulfilled. No customer should be treated this way. read more

For any airport restaurant, this is a great bang for your buck. Pizzas take 4-5 minutes to make and unlimited toppings if you choose your own! Only downfall is there were 2 employees and one was legit standing around while the other made pizzas. The one standing around didn't bother checking out anyone or helping make pizzas until near the end. read more

Portland terminal C has the best food including this MOD pizza so that you don't have to spend a fortune for mediocre food. Tastes exactly the same as a normal store and costs $11. Got ricotta, red +spicy red sauce, onion, pineapple, bacon, mushroom, spinach and arugula! I recommend asking them to bake it longer or well done. Only complaint is hope they had a size between the mod and kid because I always can't finish and will leave two slices out of six. read more

#2 for 2020 I can't believe the food was not overcharged like at most airports. It was so easy to order. Get in line. Decide the kind of pizza you want or go custom. I went to building my own. You start with the sauce you want. Of course it's the red sauce. There is a spicy red too if you want that option. Then, you simply choose the toppings you want. I took pepperoni, sausage and pastrami. Then, I piled on the veges. I never think about how they will taste because they always come out good. There is a third option. Additional sauces and other condiments can be added but I chose to not get any. Drinks are unlimited refill. Guess they know you can't stay there that long you got a plane to catch. It was my first time trying this place. My boyfriend has had it before but I hadn't heard of it and we don't have any in San Diego as far as I know. Basically, you choose a pizza from their options but can add or subtract anything you want. You get a free coffee with the breakfast pizzas. They all come in sizes of mini, mod and large. We initially took the mini ones but soon realised these were really small, even for me (I'm a small eater). We got the Amelia (red onions, sage, sausage, cheese) breakfast pizza and the Tristan (pesto drizzle, red peppers, onions, cheese, mushroom and I asked for spicy chicken sausage). Both were delicious. Crust is thin which is super. Nice and crisp and tasty. The second pizza we got was a all of the above version of Tristan because we enjoyed that more. So we got garlic, artichoke and a few other things in addition to the above ingredients. Again, very tasty and filling. Didn't eat until about 6 pm after having these at 11 am. read more

PDX has some pretty good options as far as sit down restaurants are concerned, but I didn't have the time to be waited on. I can't remember exactly what terminal that I was in, but it was kind of hard to find a fast food place. I saw MOD Pizza while I was walking past and then did a 360 and got in line. We have several MOD Pizza's where I live, but for some reason, I've just never really been too intrigued to try them I guess. This was my first time ever trying pizza from this chain. The line moved pretty quickly, so I was happy about that. When I got to the counter, the young man who made my pizza was thorough in explaining the process. It's basically like a create-your-own personal pizza and salad spot, but they have featured pizza and salad flavors that you can choose from as well. Once you choose your pizza, they bake it in a wood-fired oven for a few minutes until it's done. I'm usually pretty boring when it comes to pizza, and that day was no different. I went for their personalized "Maddy" pizza which was just a simple mix of different cheeses. After I ordered, it didn't take much time until it was ready. I've gotta say, I was quite impressed. The pizza was a tad bit greasy for my liking, but the melted cheese, crispy crust, and vibrant flavors were all on point. I'm not really a huge fan of thin crust pizza, but MOD did it right. It was cooked to perfection and retained a lot of flavor. For the price, it was honestly a great deal too. When I think airport food, I always imagine a big hole in my pocket. But surprisingly, this pizza costed me less than $10. And, that's truly a winning price when it comes to dining at the airport. MOD was a great find and an excellent experience! Thank you!!! We had a smooth flight but upon landing learned that our ride was cancelled due to an injury. With a child in tow, I had to find the cheapest option to travel from Portland Airport to Junction City (a 2-3 hr drive). Checking car rentals, lyft, taxi, and shuttles caused me to use up my phone battery, walk about 2-3 miles, around the airport, and cost me 3 hrs of my vacation time. But when I ordered a pizza (1/2 for my hungry & tired kid), I got the best service from one gentleman there.
