On my visit the AC was on way too cold for what was temperature wise outside. The staff seem friendly but not extremely knowledgable when it comes to menu options and changing out items for another. Food seems to take a tad longer here than at other locations, but was at or slightly above others. Ice cold patties (yes, both of them) slapped halfway on a bun, with ketsup and mayo on half the bun area leaving plain bread without condiments on half the sandwich. What? Were the heat lamps broke? I've been back a few times, only because I work near here. Otherwise this is still consistently the worst BK I've ever been to. Luckily a Culver's is open right next door. Last visit, only one counter person working the drive through and walk-up counter, lines at each. All the tables are filthy, trash all over the floor, drink spills on the floors, empty ketchup pumps, trash on the counters by the soda machines which are about the only things that are actually working properly in the whole place. Only giving this place 2 stars because the lady at the window was really friendly. I waited in the drive through line behind 3-4 cars for a good 15 minutes and when I finally got my "salad" which I paid almost $7 (worth about $2) I was no too thrilled. I realize BK isn't making gourmet salads but what was supposed to have romaine lettuce mixed with 2 other types of salad leaves, only had iceberg lettuce and not much of it at all! I don't think nobody cares (NBC) this site has a lot of one stars. I am a retired police officer of 30 years and never been duped like I've been at Burger King. I got PTSD from the job, was going to tell the employees what I thought, but they said the manger told them to do it. So I did order a chicken sandwich because I always order that. I left the establishment and went home and took my medication. I've never treated suspects that way, at least I used empathy. I don't even want to tell my story. As a matter of fact I logged back in to say what happened. Burger King wants people to download its app. So it's sending them to McDonald's for access to a one-cent Whopper. Here's how it works: If you're within 600-feet of a McDonald's you can unlock a deal for a penny Whopper using the Burger King app. The app then offers directions to a nearby participating Burger King, where you can pick up the burger. The company announced the deal on Tuesday. It runs through December 12, and customers can only access it once. I did just that and picked the BK location which was 10012 e southern Ave Mesa Arizona. Drove up to the window and was told the manager quick doing the promotion an hour ago. So I walked in and asked the cashier. She told me the same thing that they quit handing out one cent hamburgers one hour ago. I showed her the Burger King app and she still said they're not going to honor that. What kind of promotion are they running when the app told me to go to that store. What do they want people to do go back to McDonald's and order from them. It seems like it's a very clever promotion that Burger King put on. But it's a joke they don't honor it. read more

The Franchise owners need to wake up!!!! They own the other location on Main street. They are both terrible! This is a fairly new Burger King. It's no secret how bad they are, since there is very little patronage here. They have 2 lines and they usually have 0-1 person in one line. A well run Burger King is a license to steal! Everyone knows it's not 5 star food. They just want fast, hot food. These guys can't do either. Usually they ask you to pull up to a waiting spot and take 10 minutes to bring your food, yet somehow it is always cold. In fact, you'll be lucky if they ever get your order right. I have a feeling they just make all the burgers right at 10:30 and just microwave them the rest of the day. Their shake machine was "broken" after they were open for 2 weeks. Their second line is usually open, but they never respond to the person in it. You'll see people sitting in their car for 5 minutes yelling at the board! A brand new burger king in this area should be packed. There really aren't a lot of fast food restaurants over here (at least not as many as Phoenix) so they should be killing it. McDonalds and every other fast food restaurant nearby are always busy. The owner needs to have their head checked. They need to go by once in a while through the Drive Thru and start fixing the problem here. It's weird they opened a second location when they didn't even care about the first. If you see the other location at dinner or breakfast, McDonalds accross the street has a line around the parking lot, but no one goes to Burger King. Had problem picking up order. When arrived at store was advised they do not have the hand breaded chicken. I said fine substitute with a whopper with cheese. Was told not able to do that because the whopper is cheaper, would have to sub with original chicken sandwich (which is same price as whopper) . I said fine cancle the order and give me my money back so I can go some place else. Now the reason for not doing whopper is it has to be substitute with chicken or fish and they can't give me my money back. I have been to this location 6 different times with orders. 5 out of 6 times my food was cold and I could tell that it had been sitting for a long period of time. 3 times I ordered a double whopper with cheese meal. No cheese on any. The 4th time I ordered an original chicken sandwich meal. I could tell the chicken had been sitting unheated for a long time. We were very excited to see this Burger King open around the corner from our house. We went on opening day and it was a disaster. There must have been 20+ staff working behind the counter and not one of them looked like they knew what was going on. I waited over 25 minutes for my combo meal (whopper no onion) before finally questioning a manager if my order was forgotten. He took my receipt and said they would get it right away. We ended up with a whopper marked no onion, but with onions and cold fries. We chalked it up to opening day, ironing out the wrinkles. We've given it two more attempts and both times we were given the wrong food, cold food, strange interactions with staff and long drive through lines. This place needs better management and fast! The wife and I stopped in at this Burger King this afternoon. Normally the staff here are friendly, courteous and professional to both walk up and driveup. I can't imagine EVER going back after what we saw, heard and experienced today. First off, the lot was practically empty which was surprising as most of the other fast food places in the area were crowded. Soon as we got inside, we understood why. It seemed the crew was under staffed. Everyone had an attitude including the girl taking care of the driveup trade. She got into a yelling match with a patron over the intercom and as he drove out without stopping at the window, she thrust the sliding window open, stuck her head out the opening and yelled something like "Well Goodbye" to the departing vehicle. One of the girls finally wandered over to the cash registers and took our order. she then walked off without giving us a receipt. No receipt, NO order number. They finally pieced our order together and we walked to a table noticing trash strewn about the floor. Also noticed the four cookies missing from our order. The "Clerk" tried to tell my wife that they were out of cookies but the Wife saw a tray full right behind the clerk. Went up to the pop machine and found that many of the selections were "unavailable". This place was UNorganized to the max! Less than professional and seemingly unsupervised.
