my family and I go to fast food places very seldomly. this trip my wife who is 8 months pregnant was craving the crown nuggets. we came through the drive through, placed our order for the wife and kids, waited 20 minutes after paying. after receiving our food, my wife checks to make sure we have everything to which she finds we were given the wrong kind of nuggets. We did. It receI've crown nuggets. So when brought to the managers attention, we were met with a poor attitude and not even an apology. We understand things run out but do not take your frustrations out on the customers and pass off whatever food just to make the sale. Terrible experienc, if you choose to eat at. The bathrooms at this Burger King are nasty. A mark on the wall said "Who's king now" in brown. When I ordered 7 honey mustard crispy wraps, the employee said that the machine was broken, whatever that means. I ordered a chicken sandwich afterwards, and the chicken looked like it died a second time. The soda machine was a bit broken too, as my soda was very thick, like there was too much syrup. A dining experience that you would get on a cruise ship - the Titanic. This restaurant is a challenge to those who think "BK" stands for anything but Bankrupt! Is it finally time my former favorite flavor of burgers files? For the sake of mankind, let's hope so! First, let's point out the menu signage inside. The prices next to the products are gone and replaced by calorie count. You cannot find out what prices are. We only saw two employees, one screwing up everyone's order both at the counter and at the drive up, and the other cooking. Horribly understaffed and everyone was coming in from the drive thru with incorrect orders as were the few people inside. Bottom line the surprise total for a Whopper meal and second sandwich with an extra onion rings was a startling $28! Then the order was all wrong. 45 minutes in an empty BK to waste money on food we could not eat. Why? It was totally inedible. Look at the photo Spot! See the very dry flavorless chicken fries (which were part of our incorrect meal) on the left! See Spot run from the broken open dough, errrr "onion" rings that are all dough with no onion to be seen. And what Spot runs faster from is the yellow square on the right which is actually a fry broken in half so you could see it's very dry but still undercooked batter which is their french fry abomination. This isn't a local restaurant problem, this is a BK corporation problem since they design and ship the food to all restaurants, hence a bankruptcy would appear an inevitable end to this tragic descent. The Coke machine wasn't working and there was no condiment table... no salt, catsup or napkins. The guy girl screwing up orders at the register couldn't have cared less. He just kept telling customers that they don't give refunds even for wrong orders, and, apparently, inedible food. There are six other fast food restaurants you can see from this BK lobby. Go to one of them instead. If you don't you'll hate yourself in the morning. read more

Let me first start out by saying that I love the Whopper and Burger King....just not this location! It seems like this location doesn't train their staff, not big on accuracy for orders and don't care about fulfilling orders quickly. Don't even bring up mobile orders because this location doesn't seem to know what that is. I saw customers coming back in asking for refunds as orders were incorrect. The customers didn't even want their food, they just wanted their refund and out of this joint! I can't blame them. There are more options around here to go to when stopping off for a break at this exit, I'll make sure to hit Arby's, McDonald's or Wendy's next time as I don't think Chesterton is ready for BK! I placed a mobile order and got to the speaker after waiting for 10 minutes for the car ahead of me. When I pulled up to the speaker I waited another five minutes for an acknowledgement which I didn't get so I drove up to the window. It was obvious to the staff person at the window didn't even realize there was a mobile order so I told her that I would park and just pick it up inside since I had to use the bathroom. Ten minutes later I received my order! Hooray! It shouldn't be this difficult to get a Whopper right? read more

This used to be a great restaurant. I love to visit local places and give them my business. I really hate to complain, but sadly, I have to agree with you. I know it's hard to get workers these days. However, if the owners don't do something, I will be shocked if this location stays open. Over 30 minutes in the drive thru. Finally, I made it to the window, and workers are yelling at each other. No greeting or sorry for the wait. Our order was messed up. The other worker yelled from the middle of the restaurant to the drive thru about no changes to the order when cars are in the drive thru. despite a serious lack of staffing, these hard-working folks get the job done. It's not always perfect, but they can't get anybody to work. I go there frequently, and I have never had to wait more than a couple of minutes and that's usually because of a line. They really need more people. One woman works there every single day. She's a very nice person, but she never has time off. Subsequently, she doesn't have a lot of time for chitchat. All things being equal, they're doing a great job there. But the ownership needs to step up. No doubt. read more

Very rude service! Was in the drive up no one came over the speaker I very loudly said hello. A woman came on and smartly said I'll be with you in a moment. The next thing I know she's refusing to service us. She never said she'd be with us in a moment never heard a word from her until I hollered hello. Husband said we're ready to order, she commented we're refusing your service. We don't have to take that kind of verbal abuse. We did nothing wrong. All because I said hello she got all out of sorts. I have never left comments on a fast food place. This by far was the worst meal I have ever been served. I pulled off the highway and to grab a quick bite. I waited for a few minutes in the drive thru, with only one car ahead of me. I assumed the wait was because the food was being prepared. Totally wrong. It tasted like it was cooked yesterday. The onion rings I orders were mostly French fries instead of onion rings. The chicken sandwich was ice cold. My husband's sandwich cheese wasn't even melted, that's how cold it was. The fries we actually ordered were dark brown and cold. I didn't go back, because I assumed the "I could car less " attitude by the window dude would just make it pointless to complain. I tossed it in the trash when I got home. A waste of $22. I don't think the folks that work there would appreciate being served a meal like that if they were dining out. Judging by the crap reviews no one will care about this one either. So for the sake of the public, do not eat here. Truly awful. I went there about 90 minutes ago. I come to work today with a heavy heart and stomach. I decided to try the Burger King version of the Bacon Egg and Cheese biscuit instead of my McDonald's standby. It's really the only fast food splurge that I allow myself. Drive Thru service was friendly and relatively efficient. However, the breakfast sandwich, while reasonably tasty, seemed a bit heavy and proceeded to sink. I'm be back at Micky D's the next time I pass through in the AM. read more

Nasty! A friend and I made the mistake of stopping here while traveling through Michigan. First we had a young woman approach us in the parking lot wanting to know if we would give her some money. I think not. Ordered inside. The burger was ok but the onion rings were hard as a rock and the experience was so bad that I just wanted to get out of there and not ask for a replacement order. Have avoided this Burger King for some time now because of food quality,and cleanliness. Recently they were closed for renovation. The outside was upgraded, parking lot repaved, and the building has a new face. We decided to give it another chance, the place looks much better, unfortunately the food has NOT improved, the soda dispensed was sour and foul tasting. Over the years I have stopped at many BK's, this is absolutely the worst. The service was OK, but that doesn't make the quality of the food an better. Sorry BK, we won't be back. Haven't been to a Burger King in years and recently made a pitstop to this BK...catering to my daughter's request because she thinks "their hamburgers are the best". I don't have much to compare on this one but I left me scratching my head for sure wondering who the hell owns this owns this dive. All I can say is "wake the heck up, fire the whole staff and start from scratch". Absolutely the filthiest fast food joint I've seen in ages. Really, how hard can it be to manage and run a BK in Chesterton, Indiana? Interior is dated, tables filthy, floors were filthy, counters were filthy. utensils were filthy. The girl there, whom I suspected was a manager better be related to the franchise owner... because she was clueless and no way could have been hired for her abilities. Made a simple order...forgot drinks, shorted me on my order, no napkins....and I mean no napkins in the entire place....I had to ask for some paper towels that were on the counter....I mean, c'mon, this is Indiana, not some third world.
