The food was excellent and will be back again for sure. They had snacks on the bar for the Brewers Game and novelty items you could use for cheering and eye stickers, glasses, beads and all the fun stuff and a tables set with other snacks besides pretzels, popcorn and peanuts that were on the bar. While I don't mind mixing savory and sweet in combos I'm not used to, like having apple on a burger, this particular burger was fine to try once but it's probably not something I'd get again. The apple didn't stand out until the last couple of bites when all I had left was the middle (I eat around the middle first). The wonton strips seemed unnecessary and I would have preferred the pretzel bun without the salt on top. The apple butter was great and stood out in every bite. The tater tots may have been the crunchiest I've ever had and, as someone that has crunch as their favorite food texture, I thoroughly enjoyed them. My wife got the PB&J burger with strawberry jelly and no jalapenos. One kid for the regular Badger burger and the other got just a plain cheeseburger. They also had fries for their side. All of them liked their meals and said they'd get them again. Prices seem super reasonable compared to most other restaurants. The bar area and tables were mostly full, yet our food came out reasonably quick, which was appreciated. Home Burger Bar is a place I'd keep coming back to.
