I know a lot of people on here have problems with the service at this Wendy's. I have had pretty…read moregood service. My issue is more of a general issue with the burgers now versus the burgers in the past. Wendy's used to have the best burgers out there, in my mind. The patties were fresh tasting and big enough to hang off the bun. They were also juicy enough that you had to wrap the burger in napkins just to eat it, something like Five Guys burgers now. It was great! I don't know what happened to them through the years, but the burgers are now dry and form fitted to the bun. No napkins needed to eat it now. They taste more like cardboard. I assume they just went with the flow of other businesses and started to buy the cheapest ingredients possible. Not sure. It used to be a treat to eat a Wendy's burger. Now, not so much.

Even after "baby girl" got her food we stood there for longer. This is ridiculous, they wasnt even understaffed, they had about 5 or 6 workers, about half of them doing nothing, and no one else was in there with us. No line, just us standing there. Too worried about the girls personal life, kept on asking "what's wrong baby girl". We ended up just walking out. At least we know how their service truly is.

Our server could not have been more friendly. Based on her recommendation we tried the ham balls AND the praline bacon. So glad we did. They were decadent. Full of flavor. The Han balls melt in your mouth. My husband had the burger that had the pimento cheese on it. It came with french fries. Both were nice and hot. I tried the rooster bowl. A fried chicken breast on grits with scrambled eggs and gravy. I ate half and took half home with me knowing that I don't often eat food this rich. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. If you are counting carbs and calories, don't come here. But if you want to go somewhere that you feel genuinely welcomed and are then fed incredible food, this is the place for you. Don't expect fancy. This is a laid back, come as you are place. And I'm so glad we did.

Our server did a great job. She made recommendations and even allowed me to try a sample of the cider I was considering. The place was super busy so the food took a bit. No problem because the music was great. I ordered the steak burrito bowl. The steak was kind of skimpy and was cooked to the point of being crunchy. The flavor was decent. My son had a bison burger and enjoyed it. My bestie ordered the green beans as her side and did not care for those. She said they tasted like they came out of a can with no flavoring added. I would come back again. The atmosphere was hopping and it was nice to see so many people out enjoying downtown Hartwell.
