Oh my goodness what a treat. I got the bunker burger and fries combo and my bf got the same x2. (Growing boy ) So good! Loved how the bun reminded me of almost a pretzel bun. The meat was filling and very nice and peppery. Also the bacon was apple smoked which rocked! We appreciated the seasoning on the meat. Also those fries were perfect they were thin and perfectly crispy. Best fries in town. Awesome spot. Kinda pricey but the quality was there so worth it. We paid about $33 for our order. I had been told to eat here for over a year and I finally made it happen and I'm upset I didn't go sooner. We had the General and an order of sandbags. Both were amazing! The Bunker is a fun burger truck with great burgers including a monthly special burger. The Bunker Bar is a fantastic, Veteran owned establishment that is an honor to frequent. The "patch" wall is a lovely honor to military and first responders. The mixed drinks are perfect and lots of great beers on tap to choose from. My husband and I tried J&T Food Bunker at it's new location. We had high hopes, having read great reviews, and the person in line behind us dubbed them "the best burgers in town." We both ordered combos that included fries and a canned soda. The fries were very okay, but mostly tasted like oil. At least all the oil left them with a pretty decent crunch factor. The soda must have been left in the North Idaho fridge, but with it being a balmy 37 degrees today, it left my soda less than refreshing. If...IF....we go back, I won't make the mistake of wasting money on the combo....just stick with the burger. My husband had the classic Bunker Burger and I had the Flamethrower Burger, but I skipped the serranos because I just wasn't feeling super spicy today. Too bad that without the serranos, it wasn't even a little spicy! We both really enjoyed how well the meat was cooked...very tender and juicy. There was nothing BAD about my burger. I ate the whole dang thing, but with every single bite, I was trying to figure out what it was missing (besides the heat!). I kept thinking it needed onions of some sort or even just some simple black pepper would have really kicked it up a notch! The jalepeno ranch was probably the most enticing part of the description, but there was also something lacking there. Not only was it not at all jalepeno-esque, but I likely would not have even noticed it if it hadn't been an intensely drippy mess! Overall, our experience today was just ok. I think there is quite some potential for improvement. J&T's gets one star for knowing how to properly cook a burger and one start for friendly service. The menu was pretty limited....with only four burgers to choose from, I kind of expected them to actually be the best burger in the area! Take in consideration that this is not to criticize this business but what I've experienced today, it's a hope that the manager will take this comment and improve on the issues I'm about to address. First and foremost their service is nothing to complain about. They have a very friendly staff from my experience. However, looking at the price of their burgers and what you get for the price, they're a bit on the high side. Quality of their food: their hamburger was ok, not great for the price you pay. We got an order of French fries and I'm not kidding, they tasted like cardboard. Maybe the fries sat there for way too long, and I was the lucky one to get them. I'm not sure. As I said in the beginning that this post is to help this business improve on the quality of their food and hope they can take this as a lesson and not a criticism. I was really excited to try J&T. I had heard some great things about the burger and was hungry. I ordered the Bunker Burger and it was nicely cooked, big and juicy but as with 2 other reviews on here, I felt the meat was under seasoned. Sure I was full from the burger but the lack of seasoning left me with a somewhat empty feeling. Another thing, for a place that sells salads, it's odd that they don't automatically offer lettuce, tomatoes, pickles or onions on the burger. On another note, their fries are delicious. They just moved closer to us and I will probably give them another go if I hear they are evolving. read more

We stumbled on the Food Bunker on their opening day. My family had sent me to the food trucks with their orders but upon seeing their truck I made an executive decision to change everyone's orders. Nobody complained when I got home either!! We got the cheeseburger and grilled cheese sandwich. It was delicious. The cheeseburger was big enough that my kids split it and still had some left over for later. The patty was big and juicy and reheated really well for a snack later on. The grown up grilled cheese was so good and truly not something I would ever have thought to put together but worked! We are excited to try out more of their menu options soon. I know that after we ordered they only had enough hamburger for one more burger so obviously business was great! The next day when they saw me getting breakfast at the Mad Moose they inquired about how the food had been. I love when business owners are looking for customer feedback and care about the experience we had. We talked about the potential of a kids menu in the future or even offering sliders to allow pairing the meal with sides from other food trucks. With delicious food and open minds these two entrepreneurs are going to do great things! Be sure to check them out, you won't be disappointed! My husband and I love all the different food truck options available in the parking lot on Best Ave but often our kids aren't interested which can make meals harder obviously.
