Tried these guys based purely on Yelp! and Grubhub reviews...and was not disappointed. Was ordering for myself and 2 co-workers and none of us had ever been here, just wanted a good burger and I'm over Shake Shack. I'm always a little nervous first time ordering because other than the obvious unknown, some places don't put a lot into the presentation and care of their to-go orders. I guess they figure that it's not like you're going to walk up to the counter or waiter and complain, and they can always says, "must have happened by the delivery driver". Anyways, that was not the case with these guys! Everything was bagged neatly and securely and even staples the top of the bag to hold everything together, classy move. Between the 3 of us we had the Kobe burger protein style (lettuce wrapped), not sauces but hot sauce on the side, Double Decker Burger prepared the same way, and the Pastrami burger no lettuce. First 2 were ordered medium rare, the third medium. They got the order spot on! Being so picky like that I would almost expect a mistake, but it was perfect. Fries were good and plentiful. Even had a deal with a free piece of cheese cake - which I can't speak too but it looked delicious. I'm on the keto diet and this place definitely fit the bill for a big, fresh, quality burger. There needs to be a clear distinguishment between a gourmet burger and an "on the go" burger. This place is an "on the go burger" that does a good job for what a 6 dollar burger should be, quick and tasty. Warm, pre-made patty tastes like any other quick order patty. The fixins on the boss burger were the best part: perfectly melted American and cheddar, crispy bacon, onion rings, crisp, shredded lettuce, pickles, tomato, and a soft bun. The menu offers Kobe and Angus patties for a steeper price. The picture makes it look like the same thing that we got. Frozen. I'll pass. We opted for the zucchini instead of the regular fries. Nothing special but still ok. Will definitely try the regular fries next time. $9.50 for a meal is not bad considering a foot long, chips, and a drink a couple doors down at Subway would cost you the same thing. I'd rather support the small, local eatery at Burger Bun. The place is tiny and is in the corner of a strip mall. The inside has a cool, casual feel to it. We got there near opening time and it filled up before our meal was over. If I lived nearby, it would be a solid option for a quick lunch. There is double leveled parking so don't worry about finding a place to park. In n' Out still claims the top spot for the best "on the go" burger. Burger Bun is a close runner up. read more

I'm in the middle of eating my super tasty Barbeque Bacon Burger and enjoying my super crispy French fries so hold please..... This is what just happened to me. Someone called me while I was having a moment with my food and I wasn't the most courteous person. Actually I kept eating until they called me out on it. Lol. All of the employees at Burger Bun are friendly and aim to please. I believe that every employee here greeted me at some point as I was waiting for my meal. We chatted about business and food and ranch sauce. Literally. I'm not from California so ranch isn't a thing for me, but if it is for you, Burger Bun has it and they don't mind giving it to you. I didn't get the name of the gentleman that helped me place my order but he was very nice and helpful. He's friendly and talkative which I like. I'm a chatty person under most circumstances so I was glad he was too. I would definitely go back. They made my fries perfectly for my preferences. I was able to get them home without any issues with softness. I customized my burger because I couldn't exactly tell what they had for toppings. The options seemed plentiful though so be sure to ask if you are craving anything in particular. The funny thing is that I didn't want any tomato on my burger but it actually ended up tasting great with the accidental tomato added. Most of the time, whenever I try out a new burger spot, I'm left feeling disappointed and unimpressed. Why? Well, because most burger joints don't leave a lasting impression, or have me thinking, "Wow, that burger was really good, I have to come back here for that burger!" The restaurant is quite tiny, probably big enough to fit about 10 to 15 adults. Service is average, but the food is prepared fairly quickly. The menu boasts a good variety of burgers, fried goodies, and even Mexican delights such as burritos and tacos. They also offer ice cream and milkshakes for you sugar addicts! haha I ordered the mushroom burger combo and also added a side of onion rings, while my gf ordered the burger bun combo. In total our meal was under 20$. The burgers were delicious! The patty was juicy, the buns were light and toasted, the lettuce and tomatoes were plentiful, and the oozing cheese was sheer perfection. The burgers here are top-notch, and at any other restaurant these exact burgers might run you upwards to 10-15$. To top things off, the fries and onion rings were crunchy and perfectly fried. Okay, so I was a bit skeptical of this place as I walked in the door. It doesn't look like your topical burger joint with lime green walls, cartoon looking cutouts of ice cream cones and these crazy looking lava lamp looking light fixtures hanging from the ceiling. The was also completely empty as I went in and took my time at the menu board. Turns out I'm glad I went in and ordered food. I got a hot dog, fries and a coke and it was quite good!! They fries were seasoned which made them even better. Also, as I was sitting there eating my food several customers can in ordering different items like fried zucchini, burgers and hit fudge Sundays. Consistently good and usually very quick compared to some of the other vendors on the app. I also LOVE that they box the burgers...you don't get a bag with a smashed burger with all the ingredients falling out. I usually get the single patty cheeseburger but I add bacon and upgrade to curly fries....it's amazing. If you're stoping by...plenty of parking in the lot right infront and again - order and get your food fresh and quick. P.S. This burger joint is located in a small shopping district off Pacific Avenue. They have burgers that have great quality of meat and the burgers are huge! The location inside has a 7 tables inside so if it isn't too busy you can find yourself a seat. The staff are super down to earth and are very respectful with customers. They even make suggestions if you are caught between multiple options. Parking can be scarce during busy hours. This is a great little spot offering a variety of different options. This is a great compromise when me and my SO don't know what to order. If he wants a burger but I want Mexican we can find it all on here. I have tried their burgers, quesadilla, sweet potato fries, wings and mozzarella sticks and they're all cooked well. Really great service. They don't have BLTs or BLATs on the menu (yet), but I requested one and they made it for me. My very picky 13 yr old said it was delicious (I tried it too - really good). My family had a late afternoon craving for burgers last Sunday. I looked on Yelp for some guidance since we were looking for something better than fast food and I found Burger Bun which was closing in 20 minutes. Before I even bothered salivating over the photos and reviews, I called them to see if they could accommodate my rather large order of 14 burgers so close to closing time. They very graciously agreed to do so and invited me to take my time deciding on my order before calling back. That was nice. We ordered mostly Boss Burgers, a Chef Burger, a Pastrami Burger, carne asada fries, onion rings, curly fries and regular fries. We obviously took it to go and the burgers were still warm, moist and juicy when we got them home. They had thrown in a few extra orders of fries as a courtesy, and tons of dips and dressings without extra charge. Every substitution and special request was met and there were no mistakes, which is rare with a large order. The flavor of the carne asada on the fries was so good that we will definitely give their Mexican options a try in the future. The burger buns are slightly larger than I personally would've loved, but if you're into a bready burger, you won't be disappointed. They seemed fresh baked and not your typical dozen-in-a-bag, supermarket buns. We ravaged everything before I thought to take pictures, but trust that everything was delicious, freshly and promptly made, with excellent customer service being the truly special sauce.
